Another thread to keep going!

Short, gentle jog/walk alternates today while ds was at football. I'm shockingly sore after Saturday's class!

Yay great to see all the crew back at it! 🧡

Gym this morning. I had to modify a few things and even the light weights feel heavy after the break 😣

Only managed a 2 mile dog walk today - just as my left leg's finally improved I've developed a problem with my right foot! Dr google suggests it is Morton's Neuroma. Anyone had this? Out of the blue, on my previous walk I suddenly felt as though I had a stone in my walking boot. I eventually stopped to shake it out, but there was nothing there. Just when I thought I could increase my walking frequency 😕
I bet poor dog went home and told his mam he's been neglected 😅
I'll have to do some extra swimming

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 28/03/2025 19:15

That's frustrating, frustrated. I've never heard of it, I hope it's easy for you to sort out.

I did my hill walk this morning.

Two short but fierce Jillian workouts this morning (counting it as an exercise day because I did two). Then off to be beaten up by the osteopath, who reckons my sacroiliac joint is unhappy (boo) but it’s unlikely to be arthritis (good).

How annoying, frustrated. Hope it sorts itself out soon.

15/200.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 29/03/2025 11:29

Lift & Shred done, with fairly heavy weights by my standards (mainly 5kg). I am so weedy it’s not funny.

16/200 - not doing well as the first quarter comes to an end, but trying to cut myself some slack as January and early February were so awful and I should just have gone to bed for a week.

BezMills · 29/03/2025 13:08

It's hard when Events scupper the Plans!

I've had a week of very little but hopefully getting after it next week.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 29/03/2025 13:12

Hope your SI cheers up again soon, Professor, it can be very debilitating.

Gym again this morning. I modified again where I needed to but managed to get a small bit of weight on the 15kg bar for the RDLs. I'm afraid of proper squats and deadlifts in case my innards fall out so hopefully the physio will be able to reassure me next week and I can start building up some proper weight again. I was happy to have an excuse to avoid the prowler sled push though 😅

I did some googling and bought some foot pads, specifically for Morton's Neuroma. Wearing it in and out of the house and taking brufen. Helping massively, and I've managed my dance class this morning 🙂
90 mins Flash Dance inspired class.

I've got a bloody cold now! I went straight out after the school run, so I couldn't sit down and feel sorry for myself🙂

roonetta · 01/04/2025 13:05

Oh no frustrated, you are going through it at the moment 😟. I bloody hate colds, hope you are on the mend soon 💜

You really are going through the mill, frustrated! Hope you're better soon. You're very good to that dog though, mine is lucky to get 3km, but he does a lot of sniffing so it takes forever.

I'm away with work today. Between getting to the ryanair gate which might as well be in the next county and sneaking a couple of hours sightseeing post meeting and predinner, I did 15500 steps.

I only have the dog 2 days a week MotherForkinShirtBalls, so I feel obliged to show him a good time😅
Couldn't swim due to my cold this morning, and pilates teacher is on hols, but I did force myself to Qichong 90 min class tonight (mainly because I pre paid £15!) It's very gentle movements but I'm counting it

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 03/04/2025 15:21

God, I'd love a two day a week dog frustrated 😂 although mine is currently sulking at me because I was away. He'll be even more miffed when he finds out I'm away longer next week!

I saw something even more hellish than your Sally up/down squats, Bez, Sally press ups! Some people in the park were doing them. Absolute insanity.

I did a much less awful (by comparison) gym class this morning.

OP posts:
BezMills · 04/04/2025 08:37

I was solo parenting so had a quiet week before last.

Mon Boxercise
Weds Weights
Sun BodyCombat

This week was more like normal
Mon Boxercise
Tue, Wed, Thurs, Fri weights
Thurs + BLT, BodyCombat

Today I'm going to do something called Zuu, which is as far as I'm aware lizard crawls and various other animal-related torture methods.

Alittlefrustrated · 04/04/2025 21:41

Still full of cold with horrible cough, however, couldn't let doggo down, so I managed 2.5 mile walk, then spent 2.5 hours working in the garden (and throwing balls 😅). I feel better for it - though I think I'll have sore muscles tomorrow. Given my "handicap" I'm counting this as an active day.
58.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 05/04/2025 10:27

Definitely an active day, frustrated!

Jillian Body Transformations - cardio and weights. The cardio is properly evil and my asthma started playing up. (Has anyone else found mild asthma getting worse in middle age? Mine barely bothered me for years but is more of a nuisance now.)

18/200.

roonetta · 05/04/2025 11:07

Great going everyone! I’d forgotten I said I’d do the sally up squats 😬. I really will do it Bez, promise 🤞🏻

@ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson yes mine flares up a couple of times a year, which I blame on tree pollen, and also when the weather turns in October ish. I don't remember it being such a pain until the last few years.
