Boxercise Monday, I think I skived BLT for reasons. Tuesday and weds weights. Thursday I had my gym induction which was basically an hour PT looking at my two weights routines. Tweaks were suggested and then was back in the gym an hour later for BLT.
I decided to give Crossfit a try (been getting the chat from Anna Sensei and others) and headed off for the 6.30pm. It was, actually, a bit meh. Maybe I wasn't in the mood (been a bit glum lately) but yeah na.
Yesterday took another rest day, just Bendy Stretchy.
Today got back on the weights, taking me to 52.

Sunday was weights and BodyCombat, Monday I swerved BLT but taught my Boxercise class. Tuesday and today I got in first thing for weights (56).

Tomorrow is the usual Mega Thursday. Weights first thing (back day) then heading back at 10 for BLT. Then mighty BodyCombat in the evening.

I'm training a lot, but it doesn't feel like too much.

Keep after it!

Alittlefrustrated · 20/03/2025 15:53

Yesterday - 38 x 25m swim and 1 hr pilates class

I think I'm having a rest day today. My left leg improved dramatically during my enforced rest with that horrible virus, so I'm not pushing things, at the moment. I have a long walk planned for tommorrow.
I'm still feeling the effects of the virus, it's done a right job on me. 🤞you all escape it.
On a positive note, the lighter mornings are definitely agreeing with me, I managed to get to the pool for 6.30 on the 2 days it opens early.

BezMills · 20/03/2025 16:36

Definitely agree about the early mornings. Being able to just jump in the car and drive to the gym in the daylight without defrosting the windows is really grand. I'm in just after 6am, Tuesday to Fridays, loving it.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 21/03/2025 11:53

Also agree about the lighter mornings. I’ve just dug out Jillian’s collection of 10-minute routines and they feel achievable before work and school now that I’m not getting up in the dark. Though I’m still deciding whether to count them as exercise days

Lift &Shred workout 1 done, with reasonably heavy weights.

12/200

Alittlefrustrated · 21/03/2025 16:18

9.1 mile coastal walk. Freezing and foggy, but theres something about walking along the cliffs that always feels good.

I wish I could say the same about not having to de-ice the car BezMills. It was - 4 on Monday morning. You must be further south than me!

BezMills · 21/03/2025 17:05

All the way South, on the Isle of Wight!

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 22/03/2025 09:38

Yoga Meltdown L2 done, and skating with DD later.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 22/03/2025 09:38

Bother, posted too soon. 13/200.

BezMills · 22/03/2025 11:46

Weights, BLT and BodyCombat on Thursday, weights and Bendy Stretchy on Friday then weights again this morning. I'm creeping up to pulling my bodyweight on all three back exercises, which pleases me.
I'm finding it sometimes a bit of a drag, but I try to remember Sally Gunnell's wise words. I don't have to go to the gym, I get to go to the gym.
I was chatting to a lovely older chap, who I know from the local pub, and he's got kidney failure and has recently started dialysis. He's in the gym training, like an absolute champ.

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 22/03/2025 15:50

Hello 👋 I'm officially allowed come back! I had the sign off from the consultant and physio so I did a very light class at the gym this morning. I'm going to be taking it easy for the next few weeks but I'm delighted to be able to do some proper exercise again. (I'm going to gloss over the sea dips I wasn't officially allowed do in the last few weeks - they were worth it for the mental health boost.) I'm not going to count days for a while as it makes me put too much pressure on myself, which I don't need at the moment.

Glad you're on the mend too Professor and good to see what you've all been up to in the last few weeks

Great to see you back, MotherForkin, and wishing you a complete recovery very soon.

Lift & Shred L2 done. Burpee rows with weights, ugh - I knew there was a reason I didn't do this workout very often.

14/200.

BezMills · 23/03/2025 15:33
