Killer Abs L1. I was less keen today, but managed to get it done. Tomorrow will be a test as I’m back at work for the first time since 19 December.

Boxercise tonight, new class record of 13 participants. I'm well chuffed with that.

I spent Tuesday and Weds sorting out my home office so that I have some space to train, and setting up my little pullup bar and rings. Sort of preparation for exercise but no actual exercise as such. Today I woke up feeling a bit oogy (there's a lot of it about!) so I'll wait and see how I feel in the afternoon. The plan was to do my normal BodyCombat then go off to the canoe club afters.

Alittlefrustrated · 09/01/2025 17:00

Unplanned Day off yesterday.
4.23 mile precisely, walk today

You'll benefit mentally from that prepared space BezMills, when you are feeling well again. I never fail to do something if I put my mat, bodybar etc out, before I go to bed. I just need to start doing that again 😂

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 10/01/2025 10:35

I’m still coughing my lungs up so nothing is happening here - I can’t even do yoga or Pilates at the moment because every time I lie down I sound as though I’m dying of galloping consumption. Impressed by everyone else’s efforts, though!

BezMills · 10/01/2025 13:50

agh that's frustrating when you can't train @MotherForkinShirtBalls

I'm taking today off as well, still don't feel right. Having said that, there's 224kg of flooring to be staged up to the attic, so that would count as a bit of work!

Alittlefrustrated · 10/01/2025 18:33

75 minutes strength and flexibility at home.

Hope you feel better soon ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson - it sounds like you musn't be getting much sleep either.

I've had a similar dose, Professor, and been flattened for the last few days. It's so frustrating as I was planning to get as much as possible done before my enforced hiatus, but anyway, I was back at s&c this morning and took it very easy.

Sorry to hear you have all been struck down with the lurgy 🥺. Hope you are all on the mend soon 🩷

I hear you about the 'work malarkey' Oubliette. It really gets in the way of everything.

Swim this morning, at least 40 x25 m - I lost count due to 2 very slow men clogging up the fast lane. Humph.

I got a very short sea dip in yesterday (sadly the sauna was fully booked). The tide was out, other swimmers were scarce and the swell was lively so I didn't want to risk being in long. I took the dog for the easier loop of our hill walk this morning. I feel like I need to do cardio to shake my chest loose, but it's also hard to breathe properly so...

BodyCombat yesterday, which I always enjoy (5). Today I got up super early and did a bit of work, but got a bit distracted and couldn't go for a planned 3 mile walk before my 8am meeting - but I did do a 15 minutes walk near home instead. slightly annoyed about being thwarted, as I got new fandan headphones with an aim of going for morning walks listening to music.
I went to Bums Legs and Tums but underestimated the amount of Legs! I started feeling a bit woozy on the millionth(*) set of squats, so took a knee and didn't do any more standing work. I got to the end of the class, then went to the gym shop to get some sugar in my blood. They didn't have any banananas so I tonked some pineapple juice out of the carton instead (I'm all class).

A solid attempt, but next time I think I need to have a bananana an hour before doing so much leg work first thing.

4.77 mile dog walk
Had a flare up of achilles and calf issue couple of hours later. I thought I'd made progress lately 😡It's so unpredictable. Been going on for nearly a year now. Booked in for a dance class on Saturday - hope I can still go.

yeah last week it was lurgy, this week a wonky neck! I've had a couple days off and today went back to the BLT class. It's not much fun, only just got rid of the DOMS from Monday and now I've topped them up again. BodyCombat tonight (in 2 hours) is going to be savage.
I was thinking of going to Canoe Club but I'm already kind of checking out. I'd rather get home before 7 and eat some dinner, watch TV with DD (she's going through Doctor Who at the moment) as opposed to getting in at 9.30 and just going to bed.

An easier s&c class. I keep thinking this cough is gone and then it's not.

Today - 4.5 mile dog walk and Qigong class
