Another thread to keep going!

You are inspiring, @MotherForkinShirtBalls!

All the best troops, 2025 let's go

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 31/12/2024 11:59

Well done, @MotherForkinShirtBalls ! You put me to shame.

Yoga vinyasa flow class for me today: if you were designing a class to show what a klutz I am this would probably be it!

133 days this year. Didn't make my target of 150 but I wasn't too far off, and will aim for better in 2025.

Happy New Year, everyone, and thanks for this thread and it's predecessors.

roonetta · 31/12/2024 15:26

🙌🙌🙌 Amazing Motherforkin! 🙌🙌

Alittlefrustrated · 31/12/2024 16:29

4.5 mile dog walk - very wet and windy but accompanied by DS 14 who is great company.
Happy New Year everyone - we are going to do great in 2025. I feel it in my cold wet bones 😍

BezMills · 01/01/2025 07:17

Happy new year! I'm feeling motivated, can't wait to get after it.
I plan to do my Simplistic Mobility Method today (hope I can remember my password to put it on the telly)

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 01/01/2025 14:57

Pilates class today, getting 2025 off to a good start. The weather is foul here so I scuttled to and from my class and am otherwise hibernating at home.

I’m going to aim for 200 this year (so basically the same as last year when I didn’t start till April).

1/200 done.

Alittlefrustrated · 01/01/2025 21:35

Thank the Lord for this thread - it's a tad stressful in my house and I nearly did nothing today. Not a great start😳
Finally wrapped up and just got back from a very fast 3 mile walk - snowing for my last mile! I wouldn't of done it, wirhout you lot to report to 🤣
I'm booked for an early swim tomorrow, so should be a better day. I resolve not to let other people's moods stop me doing what's good for me!

I know that feeling, frustrated, both the family tensions and the value of checking in here to make myself do something, which always helps, and to keep me honest!

I had a reasonably easy s&c class this morning. I'm not setting any goals for the year yet as I have to have surgery in a couple of weeks and will have a slow restart around March. I'll see what shape I'm in then to see what's achievable this year.

well done for day one!

I took a rest day, but I've got BodyCombat tonight. I am attempting to join a local canoe club which meets on a Thursday evening, which I could go to straight from BC.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 02/01/2025 15:20

Another Pilates class today (making the most of being off work to go to classes with actual teachers).

Canoe club sounds fun, @BezMills! I'm toying with an adult ballet class but probably won't do it till next term - I struggle to motivate myself to head out in the cold and dark, and I don't really have the spare cash to sign up with all the Christmas holiday bills.

2/200.

BezMills · 02/01/2025 15:52

I did love the Barre class. I never saw myself as a ballet type, never did it until that class, but turns out I loved the dancing even more than the training.

roonetta · 02/01/2025 16:34

Nat Hayward strength workout done ✅

BezMills · 02/01/2025 18:40

BodyCombat done, (1) and next week I'll need my swimmers, because it will be BodyCombat then Canoe Club

Alittlefrustrated · 02/01/2025 20:32

42 x 25m swim
5.5 mile coastal walk - lovely cold but bright day here.

I think my ankle has finally recovered enough to restart exercising again. I’m going to aim to do either a short exercise session or 15,000 steps every day in January.

Yesterday I settled for 15,000 steps. Today I did my first exercise DVD in over a year. I expect I’m going to ache tomorrow.

OublietteBravo · 03/01/2025 18:44

Dance exercise DVD. Apparently that means lots of steps, and my watch says I’ve burned 923 calories today. (It usually doesn’t get beyond about 500-ish).

Alittlefrustrated · 03/01/2025 22:42

Great news OublietteBravo - well done.
Just a 3 mile walk today.

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 04/01/2025 11:56

Good news, Oubliette! Very glad you're back.

Yoga class today: it was a real slog as my lower back is complaining of all the coughing, and every time I lie on my back the coughing starts up again (cold air and asthma really don't help it) but I got through the class in the end.

3/200

Good to see you back Oubliette.

I had s&c class this morning. My nemesis who seems to be a very nice woman, and completely unaware of our "competition" out performed me on everything except the prowler sleds where we drew. That was annoying.

I have to clean the house now and then hoping to get for a quick sea dip before the weather gets bad. It was absolutely icy yesterday.

Another late but fast 3 mile walk

roonetta · 05/01/2025 12:17

Hi Oubliette 👋. Good to see you!

Hope your surgery doesn't set you back too much Motherforkin

Tried a new workout today, Eleni Fit, 5000 steps in 30 minutes. It was fast and sweaty although my coordination left a lot to be desired.

BezMills · 05/01/2025 15:01

Friday I did Bendy Stretchy then a couple of BodyCombat tracks on the big screen. Today was BodyCombat, which was murder tbh. (3)

Alittlefrustrated · 05/01/2025 18:22

48 x 25m swim
I love the sound of Bendy Stretchy BezMills!
My pilates teacher has cancelled my 2 lessons this week coming, so a late start back to that. I'll have to drum up the motivation to do some of her videos this week.
My first week hasn't been as productive as I hoped, I need to up my efforts next week.

I'm not feeling the mojo yet this year...short run between footpaths thawing, icy showers and the snow we are due later.
