S&c today. I was expecting horrible doms yesterday after Tuesday's excess of squats, but it was an almost pleasant mild ache instead.

Almost pleasant mild ache 🤣🤣
I've just got in from a very brisk night time walk - all the brisker because it's bloomin' nitherating. It's 2 degrees, but windy as well here. Still I managed a couple of mile, so I'm counting it.

Hi everyone! I've been absent but still chugging along doing the same thing. I haven't felt up to keeping up with the updates, but I've been reading yours. Great work everybody, it's been a year hasn't it!

Each week I've done my BodyCombats with lovely Anna Sensei and teaching my Boxercise class (I spend most of the time coaching not working, but I do the legs and cardio finishers with them).

It hasn't really been enough to outrun some bad stress eating choices and drinky drinky and I'm feeling a bit bleh to be honest. However accentuating the positive, if I had to cheer myself up, I'd say the engine is ok and there's a decent base to spring forward from in 2025.

Cheers!

Lovely to see you, Bez. I'm glad you've been keeping going. Having the routine and exertion of physical activity can be so valuable when there's uncertainty around.

Hill walk this morning and an absolutely icy sea dip at lunchtime. The water was about 11c when I was on on Sunday but its down to 9 today and the difference was incredible.

Very blustery dog walk today - my tracker went flat so exact distance not known
96/100 - nearly there!
Look forward to hearing more from you in the new year BezMills

spikeandbuffy · 21/12/2024 01:55

Still here, just no exercise going on
Waiting for an operation for stage 4 endo and struggling

Alittlefrustrated · 21/12/2024 16:50

Hope you don't wait much longer spikeandbuffy.
am - 80 mins strength and flexibility workout at home, helped by a xmas film
pm - there was a carol service in my local country park, so I warbled for 30 mins, then did a 4 mile walk. It's very open and the wind was wild!

S&c today.

Sorry to hear you're suffering so much, buffy, endo is really brutal.

Suddenly feeling sick, so that's me done for today

Hope you're feeling OK soon, frustrated. I'm still keeping this lurgy at bay but I don't know how much longer I have.

First day of Christmas family visits today but I was up early to get a short run before we left. It was bitterly cold and when I was about half way out it started sleeting out of nowhere so I didn't feel bad about turning back.

Alittlefrustrated · 23/12/2024 17:10

4.5 mile dog walk - I won't be doing anything else today. I still have a headache and feel sick. My DP has been loaded with cold for a week. He'd better keep it to himself 😂

I hope you're not coming down with something proper, frustrated, just one day to go!

S&c today and a sea swim/sauna combo whihc was a revelation.

Hope you all have a lovely, restful Christmas. Thanks for being my exercise pals, even though I have been rubbish the last couple of months! See you on the other side 🎄🥰

Alittlefrustrated · 24/12/2024 21:39

42 x 25m swim
100/100!
I think I have a "habit" now 🙂
Having a day off tomorrow - hope you all have a lovely Christmas ladies xx

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 24/12/2024 22:16

Happy Christmas everyone🎄

100 days straight is an amazing habit frustrated! And any days are better than none, Roonetta. 💪

I had a sea swim today but it was short so I won't count it (maxed out at 6 minutes as the annual Christmas eve hoards had booked out the sauna and I'm spoiled after yesterday!) Tomorrow is definitely a rest day, and if I'm not 90% cheese on Thursday, I'll try to be back.

S&c this morning. Despite far too much booze and food over the last few days I managed to hit my deadlift pb from 10 years ago! 75kg for 4 reps. Followed by a celebratory sea dip.

Nice work Motherforkin! Hope everyone had a nice Christmas.

Nat Hayward strength workout done. Felt every moment of that as I haven't done it for a while. I also did a 3 mile WWL Christmas Eve but forgot to count it.

BezMills · 27/12/2024 16:38

Well done @MotherForkinShirtBalls(PB!) and @roonetta

I did tourist BodyCombat today, kapow

Alittlefrustrated · 27/12/2024 18:36

50 x 25m swim this morning.
I'm so impressed people haven't just flopped on the sofa!
I need a new challenge to up my game, now that daily activity has become the norm 😇
I need to add regular strength training, so maybe something to do with that. Or daily pilates 🤔 I was actually desperate for today's swim after 2 inactive days!

ProfessorRadcliffeEmerson · 28/12/2024 12:10

Yoga class done. I've had a really evil cold, and although I'm over the worst I'm coughing like a heroine of 19th century opera, so I felt justified in having a few days off.

BezMills · 28/12/2024 13:35

@Alittlefrustrated if you want to do weights it's definitely worth a gym induction or PT session to learn the lifts or machine exercises. Even if you were to do a class like BodyPump, a bit of 1-1 to learn the moves would pay off. Good luck!

I did another tourist McCombat today, they had the disco lights on, was mad fun.

roonetta · 29/12/2024 14:53

Boosted 5k WWL done ✅

I'm not going to make 100 this year. There has been lots going on family wise so I am pleased I managed 90ish days of exercise. While I won't give myself an actual target for next year, I would be happy to hit the 100 mark but I'm not putting any pressure on myself.

I'll wish you all a happy and healthy New Year now, in case I don't manage any more exercise over the next couple of days 🍾🥂❤️

Disco lighting sounds fun, Bez! Any day done is a good day, Roonetta. Well done for managing what you did. Happy new year to you too Smile

Short run today, really just to make up the numbers and so i can hit my target tomorrow as I've a wedding on 31st so will be partying rather than exercising!

60 x 25m swim
Still not decided on my next challenge - I think I might do 100 days of 30 mins pilates, on top of daily activity. My hamstrings will thank me.
Well done for this year everyone. This thread has been a massive motivator.
Lets power through 2025!

MotherForkinShirtBalls · 30/12/2024 17:53

🥳240!🥳
Delighted to get to my target today with a very hard work s&c class. Wedding tomorrow and family gathering on 1st so I'm booked in for another class at 8am on 2nd to make sure I'm back in the game as quickly as possible.

Happy new year everyone. I know this one has had ups and downs so hopefully 2025 will bring peace and good health to all. ❤
