Maintaining the Six Pack Revolution

I’m half way through and getting good results so far - but I’m worried about how I’ll maintain the weight loss once it’s over - especially as my wave finishes just before Christmas!

Those who’ve done it before, how did you find it once you’d finished? I notice a few people tend to come back at a later date to do another wave - the coaches say that’s because it obviously works so well but I wonder if it’s because it’s so hard to maintain!

No, that sounds right. The first replaces a meal, the second a snack. 2-2-2 is what I do.

cheeseisthebest · 23/01/2023 19:25

Thank you yeh I think she's wrong, she's not the main coach, one of the add on ones!

Cherryana · 23/01/2023 19:32

I never eat three eggs. I know they say that but there is something about three eggs in one snack that I can’t do.

2 snacks, 2 meals and 2 shakes
1 shake, 2 meals, 3 snacks
or 3 meals and 3 snacks.
I do the 2 2 2 version too.

Rocketpants50 · 23/01/2023 22:44

Do you have the official shakes or have you gone rogue? If so which ones have you got as wanted a strawberry flavour but they don't have it in stock.

I honestly couldn't eat 3 eggs or eggs with avocado. Or eggs without salt! Am trying really hard but eating about 95% on target.

I do find it a bit weird that some snacks have 3 eggs yet yogurt and berries is 3 spoons yogurt, small number of nuts and berries. I do wonder if you did 3 of the egg snacks a day if you'd lose weight! But even so if you're talking calories don't eggs have about 80 calories so still only talking about 240 cal (the rest of the snacks with eggs usually minimal cals)

All I would say is forget about calories! This is not a calorie-counting plan. It’s about focusing on real food - nothing processed at all, and fuelling your body t the way it’s supposed to be. You could eat 3 egg snacks a day if you wanted and as long as you’re following the plan, you would lose weight - however they do recommend that you have variety in your diet.
I can honestly say that I followed the food to a T, really couldn’t understand how it would work and make me lose weight, but it really did!

I have the official shakes because I honestly couldn't work out which unofficial ones I could have. I do now use an unofficial post workout shake but purely because we had some in the back of the cupboard. Theirs are pretty tasty and not bad price wise.

Despite my comments about the number of eggs, I do agree that it's important to trust the system. This is my second wave and although I wasn't 100% the first time, I definitely lost fat over the 75 days!

cheeseisthebest · 24/01/2023 10:56

I'm having a drop of milk in my first cuppa of the day but other than that I'm sticking to it. Eggs mixed with Greek yoghurt, pepper and lemon juice on ryvitas are nice, the lemon replaces the salt.

BeckyBoo841 · 24/01/2023 12:19

I'm sticking almost completely to it too, trying to get some meal replacement shakes as I recon that will help with the dread of having to cook/prepare/eat another meal!

Feeling the results already, and I'm only on week 2!

Cherryana · 24/01/2023 18:48

I do really like their shakes- vanilla is my favourite and then strawberry

cheeseisthebest · 24/01/2023 19:15

I like the chocolate one, tastes like a mcdonalds however today I had shake at 7.30am, eggs at 10.30 then shake at 1 30, didn't have time to do much else, by 3 ish I felt awful. Felt better after a wholemeal chicken wrap. I'm behind on the exercise now though.

Rocketpants50 · 24/01/2023 20:02

Am def finding this week easier. Though struggling to drink the amount of water as sometimes have to wait 3+ hours before I can go for a wee! Is not good.

My skin feels healthier and sleeping better and just feeling all round healthier for not consuming so much bad stuff.

Made salmon fishcakes with ginger and lemon tonight, with sweet potatoes and salad. Really enjoyed.

BeckyBoo841 · 26/01/2023 17:11

Oh wow - I think I can already see a difference in my photos week 2... It's isn't huge, but its definitely something!

Pottymouth83 · 26/01/2023 21:53

That’s great @BeckyBoo841 Once you start seeing even the smallest difference, it really spurs you on!!

Ahhh well done. Not done my photos yet, I can't imagine they are sny different, everything feels very much the same at mo though def feeling good on the inside.

Rocketpants50 · 27/01/2023 21:08

I watched that video posted today about the Secret - thought that was a bit weird. I thought it was going to be some great inspirational post ...anything but!

redavocado · 27/01/2023 21:12

Haha! Even for the September wave, The Secret was required reading during prep week. It's utter nonsense.

lljkk · 27/01/2023 21:30

This The Secret?

Maintaining the Six Pack Revolution
redavocado · 28/01/2023 05:14

That's the one!

Cherryana · 28/01/2023 07:36

Yes I watched the Netflix video of it 😂😂😂

I am not seeing a difference yet but I will say I have slept through the night for the past three nights in a row - which is remarkable because I usually always wake up and that has definitely made me feel better.

BeckyBoo841 · 28/01/2023 10:05

I won't be reading The Secret. I have to forget I saw that TBH. 😂

Feeling so good today. I cannot believe how much more energy I have. It's actually kinda insane!

Rocketpants50 · 28/01/2023 15:44

Did dailies, abs and challenge today, went out to walk the dog and hunger hit me - I had forgotten to eat after the challenge. Luckily dog pulled me all the way home but yes definitely more energy and skin feels less greasy. Sleep is so much better.

ivykaty44 · 28/01/2023 20:03

can I ask, where those of you feeling so much better - were you exercising regularly before you started this plan and getting your 5 portions of f&v in each day etc. Or is this the start of exercise and eating veg and fruit etc?

I was doing all that but my sugar and alcohol intake on top of that were pretty bad. It's cutting those things out and having a more targeted exercise plan (plus the dailies!) that I find makes a difference.

BeckyBoo841 · 30/01/2023 12:07

I was exercising three-ish times a week, but like @redavocado my sugar and alcohol intake left a bit to be desired and I needed a serious nutrition reboot. Too much keto and fasting and low calorie had me forgetting that your body actually needs and wants fuel. Yes. I ate a lot of fruit and veg, but I also ate a lot of crap, frankly.

We're onto week 3 (9 to go, I think?) and if things continue I think my results are going to be very satisfying.

ivykaty44 · 30/01/2023 13:01

Thanks for the replies

Im doing gym style sessions 5 times a week and eating sensibly, avoiding snacks and additional sugar foods ( pastries, cakes, milk chocolate etc) so was wondering if there was more. I rarely drink alcohol - probably average one glass of wine a month.
