Hi Everyone

I finished Ri30’at the weekend and now I’m alternating the 4 levels with 6W6P (so 6 work outs per week) for the next month.

I’d like to do Body Revolution after that but I don’t have a DVD player and I can’t find it online anywhere. It’s not on Amazon either. Does anyone know how I could access it?

Thanks!

StyleDesperation · 02/06/2021 11:52

Morning ladies. I was a total Jillian addict pre pregnancy, and bought her post natal DVD, however I'm now 6 months PP and have prolapse issues. Wondering if anyone else has had similar and still successfully working out with Jillian? I'm desperate to exercise again but have been told running is out of the question, at least for now, which was my other exercise of choice pre baby!

It’s on a Chinese website called bilibili. Just search JM and it comes up. Credit to roonetta for this info - I’d never heard of the site before!

Hi StyleDesperation, sorry to hear about your prolapse issues. I haven’t had similar sorry, hopefully someone else can help. They might be ok if you avoid some of the high impact parts?

gratedbeetroot · 03/06/2021 00:55

I forgot to say that I could feel my stomach muscles today after WO8 yesterday, even though I didn’t feel like I was using them much at the time!

I did cardio 2 today, I enjoyed the moves although I’d rather not repeat a circuit three times...

Queuing4Fergs · 04/06/2021 12:41

beetroot congratulations on your stomach muscles! My tummy has taken on a weird shape - I think there is some muscle lurking deep beneath the fat and its pushing my fat out in ways it never has before. Slightly disconcerting!

Well my child free week has been lovely. Managed some meals out, just DH and I, and have done some sorting and organising. Even work has felt less stressful! Going down to in laws tomorrow to collect them so the dream is nearly over!

Welcome styledesperation, sorry to hear of your prolapse issues. Being a woman is tough! I have no experience I'm afraid bit I think there's a women's health topic in here which is for women experiencing similar, so someone may be able to help there?

My second AZ vaccine was fine actually - I think my slightly woozy feeling last week was the wine!!

I'm now halfway through week 8 so nearly ready to step up to Phase 3. I have to do 7 workouts this week and have my rest day on Sunday rather than tomorrow which is a sentence I never thought I'd type! Jillian is not only revolutionising my body but also my mindset! I agree beetroot 3 times around is tough but I am much preferring Cardio 2 to the boring Cardio 1.

gratedbeetroot · 05/06/2021 14:47

Haha, I know what you mean Queuing!

Glad you had a lovely week.

We’ve had a lovely half term and it’s been great for the children to have some normality in their lives, with lots of trips out and play dates.

I’ve had to exercise late every day: did wo8 after a run again last night but I do feel great afterwards.

Cardio 2 to do this evening - yes, I definitely prefer it to cardio 1!

roonetta · 05/06/2021 15:48

Lots of great exercise going on ladies!

Back at it today with Epic 2 day 24 hamstrings and core. After a week off I felt it and used lighter weights to get me back into it.

Jealous of your child free week Queuing! Glad everyone had a good half term Smile

Hi everyone! Glad to hear of the good half-terms, it has been so lovely to have some nice weather this week hasn't it!!

I've been mostly "resting" this week in preparation for today's 13 mile challenge run! Did Day 49 of Epic mid week, which was an hour session but half-weights and half-yoga so not too hard!

The run went well, despite the heat and smashed my 2019 time, so I'm really happy GrinGrinGrin

Keep with cardio 2 beetroot - you get used to the 3 circuits, it did my head in at first too!!

roonetta · 05/06/2021 19:11

Well done on the run @AlgonquinBay! Star You smashed it! One day of Epic left. I really liked day 50 - hope you enjoy it Smile

Well done Algon!

roonetta · 06/06/2021 15:09

Epic 2 day 25 full body.

Don’t know if it was the heat or because I have been stuffing my face all week, but that was bloody hard. Lots of complexes, some of which I ended earlier than the allocated time as I was dying.

Epic 2 day 26 HIIT with dumbbells. This was fun, even though she said to use light dumbbells and proceeded to use 6kg! I stuck with 2kgs Blush.

I am actually finding the HIIT workouts in Epic 2 much more doable than Epic. Might be to do with the lack of burpees Grin

Epic 2 day 27 front delts and abs. Had to drop to lower weights for this one.

WO8 done.

Are you on phase 3 yet Queuing?

Wineloffa · 08/06/2021 21:40

@gratedbeetroot thanks for that! I’ve found Body Revolution on Bilibili so will start that on 1 July! In the meantime I’ll continue to alternate Ri30 with 6W6P x 6 days a week with yoga thrown in at weekends. Smile

gratedbeetroot · 09/06/2021 06:28

You’re welcome! I want to mix up some DVDs after BR, mainly because I bought Lift and Shred weeks back and still haven’t tried it! I was thinking maybe NMTZ, 6W6P and L&S on top of my runs. But I have so many (most) of the DVDS, it’s hard to decide!

roonetta · 09/06/2021 12:11

How much longer do you have on Phase 2 Beetroot? You are so dedicated to be doing BR alongside running! Awesome Star. I think there used to be calendars of Jillian's workouts on Google which contained a different workout of hers each day. No deciding what workout to do each day, just follow the calendar. I know I hate having to decide what to do which is why I tend to choose programmes. Love Lift and Shred Grin

How are you finding 6W6P Wineloffa? I have only done that one once! I have heard Level 2 is particularly difficult.

Good luck with Phase 3 when you get there Queuing

Epic 2 day 28 - squats, squats and more squats - seemed to take forever!

gratedbeetroot · 09/06/2021 12:29

I start phase 3 on Monday and thanks, though I’m not sure what I was thinking to start both around the same time! I will have a look for those calendars - thanks for the tip.

Queuing4Fergs · 09/06/2021 17:48

Hi all. Yesterday I bid farewell to Phase 2 and today I started on Phase 3. I've managed to aggravate an old achilles tendon injury which is really annoying as it's hurting in quite a few of the cardio jumpy moves. I've been cautious using that leg and therefore relying heavily on the other leg which, unsurprisingly, is now starting to hurt too Hmm

I'm persevering though. So WO10 is definitely challenging from a coordination point of view! It has my old nemesis- rock and roll gets ups (nope, still can't do them even with weights to pull me forward) as well as plank moguls which I found I can do much better than I ever have before. They were definitely in 6W6P but also Ri30 I think?

It's very cardio heavy for a strength workout and I started getting confused doing some of the moves thinking they were cardio when they were actually strength but overall I liked it and am looking forward to improving. Her transitions are very quick though so yoy don't get much time to work out what's going on before you're half way through!

How's everyone finding the heat?

gratedbeetroot · 09/06/2021 18:38

Sorry to hear about your injury Queuing. Do you think you’ll need a few days rest (or longer) for it to heal or is it something that will just disappear randomly?

Quite excited to try WO10 next week! Though I’ve been enjoying WO7&8.

I’ve been struggling in the heat. I’m not a fan of the sun. I’ve been going out for runs after 8pm because of it and then often doing BR when I get back. Though I’ve done daytime BR workouts the last couple of days, now the children are at school, with curtains shut to keep the sun out.

Queuing4Fergs · 10/06/2021 08:05

Ah sorry, it was WO9 yesterday, not 10. Sadly (??!) I can't follow on with WO10 today as I've had to travel into work and am out this evening. Feels weird to be on a train again after 15 months! So my routine for the next month will be slightly different for the next month which aggravates my obsessive need for routine, but I should still finish the full programme before my week away in July.

My achilles flares up occasionally and I usually just give it a rest for a few days then it dies down again. It seems to happen more during warm weather when my legs are more prone to swelling anyway. I've bought a compression support sleeve for it so I'm hoping that and ibuprofen will help as I really don't want to break for too long.

As much as I'm so delighted that the warmer weather is finally here, I'm hoping there won't be any awful heatwaves like last year. I was dripping doing yesterday's strength workout so can't even imagine the state of me after Cardio 3!

roonetta · 10/06/2021 14:22

Well done on phase 3 Queuing. I always found the first time round of the workouts really confusing, but once you get used to what is coming, it gets better. Hope your injury doesn’t set you back. I hate taking time out for niggles and injuries. I am always so shocked that I am still keeping at it, that I don’t want anything to scupper it Grin

I’m struggling with the heat too. Everything seems much more effort.

I always shut the curtains Beetroot, don’t want to traumatise my neighbour seeing a middle aged, red faced woman flailing around in not many clothes Blush

Epic 2 day 29 upper body complexes. The workouts are getting tougher. This one killed me.

Days exercised 111

OP posts:
gratedbeetroot · 10/06/2021 17:15

There’s that too, roonetta Grin I admit that I don’t wear many clothes while working out at home either!

What was your train like Queuing? I hope the compression support sleeve and ibuprofen help - you’re doing so well!

I had a feeling of tightness in one knee early on when I started running but thankfully it sorted itself after some different stretches (still haven’t done the roller exercises Blush ). I can’t believe I completed the programme without any issues, I was worried that BR would damage something, thus being cautious with some moves.

Queuing4Fergs · 12/06/2021 19:36

Thanks for the well wishes on my annoying injury! It is feeling much better but still sore by the end of the day. I rested it on Thursday (in London for the day and evening) and Friday (feeling a little fragile [ahem]) but did WO 10 today. That was NOT enjoyable. It is very cardio heavy - rockstars in the warm up and weighted rockstars later on - plus jumping lunges and jumping lunge kicks. AND THOSE WEREN'T EVEN THE CARDIO CIRCUITS Shock Shock Shock My balance was also shocking so I know there's lots to improve on.

Cardio 3 tomorrow which looks tough and I'll have to get up earlier than I'd like on a Sunday to get it done before a busy day. Hope my achilles copes.

Everyone seems so motivated, it's great to see. Algonquin, Wineloffa, how are you getting on?

Queuing4Fergs · 12/06/2021 19:38

Ps, beetroot can't wait till we can compare notes on WO9 and WO10!
