Wow @Queuing4Fergs 4kgs is great for a Jillian workout, I usually stuck to 2 or 3kgs, so well done Smile

I actually think cardio 2 is harder than cardio 3 in BR so stick with it. Duck and bear walks are just evil.

Day 41 of Epic done here (hamstrings and flutes) plus a 5 mile run and a Fitsteps class. Absolutely knackered now though Blush

gratedbeetroot · 18/05/2021 22:28

Wow, well done Algon, I’m not surprised you’re tired!

First time doing WO6 today. I quite enjoyed it other than rockstars and running man which I swapped for something kinder on my knees.

roonetta · 19/05/2021 12:58

How on earth did you get all that done Algonquin?! Seriously impressed StarStar

Epic 2 day 16, arm day done

Days exercised 99

Wineloffa · 20/05/2021 07:31

@AlgonquinBay you’re a machine well done!! My gym is reopening for classes next week so I will be going spinning twice a week on top of Jillian’ing so I fully expect to be absolutely knackered on those days too. I’m so looking forward to it though, I’ve missed spinning so much.

Tomorrow is my last day of Ri30 L3 thank goodness! I have really sore glutes this week so it’s obviously effective!!

@Queuing4Fergs 4kg for Jillian workouts is impressive! I mainly use 2kg but swap to 4kg for some exercises. Can’t imagine using them for the whole thing though!

roonetta · 20/05/2021 13:07

Well done for getting through L3 Wineloffa. If my memory serves me correctly, L4 is nowhere near as bad. The spinning classes sound great Smile

Epic 2 day 18 leg day, pyramid sets. I liked this one, apart from the fact it was an hour long.

Days exercised 100 (whoop whoop!)

Happy Hundred, roonetta!

Another WO5 and 6 done here, with cardio tomorrow to finish off my week. Struggled with WO5 again - it's all the triceps work, mainly that blasted crab triceps dip with raised leg. Horror show. WO6 today was fine, though I agree beetroot the rock stars are particularly unwelcome. Feel like I can finally do running man without dying though. How did you find Cardio 2?

Algonquin thanks for giving me hope on Cardio 3! Mind you, seeing the level of exercise you do I'm not sure our fitness levels are aligned Grin That was one full on day.

Wineloffa hope you're finding L4 OK. I think on balance I preferred it to L3 too, but I now can't remember much of it - suppressed memories due to trauma!!

I think BR is definitely helping my weightloss. Have lost 5kg in the last month and definitely feel leaner. But I also eat a low carb diet with fairly low calories 3 or 4 days a week. Low carb kills my appetite so I can happily fast all day and just eat dinner, so that helps. I do all my JM'ing either around 9am or 12pm depending on my schedule so always in a fasted state. I find I'm really sluggish if I exercise after food. Anyone the same?

AlgonquinBay · 22/05/2021 14:56

Well done on the 100 days roonetta Thanks

I'm the same as you queuing I usually exercise on the morning before I eat anything. I have to run on an empty stomach too, it just feels better. I lost 2 stone last year doing low carb and Fast800 - it really works although I've fallen off the wagon somewhat now, I've managed to keep most of it off!

Day 44 of BR here with a 1-hour full body dumbell workout. Wow that was hard! 2 x 20 minute complexes to start with which nearly killed me off Blush - glad it's over now

roonetta · 22/05/2021 21:41

Well done on the weight loss Queuing and Algonquin! Amazing results. I usually do my exercises about an hour after food. Don’t think I could manage on an empty stomach.

Almost at day 50 Algon!

Epic 2 day 19 shoulders done. Ouch Shock

@Queuing4Fergs I do most of my Jillian videos at 6.30am on weekdays and a bit later in the mornings on weekends. Agree that I feel more sluggish after eating. 5kg loss in a month is fab - well done!

Starting Ri30 L4 today. Had to take a rest day on Friday because my glutes were sore and I was feeling exhausted.

Yesterday I finished L3 and did Yoga Inferno L2. For anyone who hasn’t tried her Yoga Inferno video, I’d highly recommend it, it’s a really tough but fantastic workout.

Happy Sunday everyone! Congrats on your 100th @roonetta!

gratedbeetroot · 23/05/2021 12:49

Hi all, I forgot to post for the past few days.

My workout times vary. When the children are at school I can do them in the morning after they’ve been dropped off but during weekends or holidays I can only workout after they’ve gone to bed. They wake at 5-6am so no chance of getting a workout in before they wake!

Week 5 of BR complete! I’m enjoying workouts 5&6. I haven’t even tried cardio 2 yet though because I’ve been running on those days instead, runs have fallen on the right days this week. Week 9 of C25K this week!

Well done on the weight losses! I’ve stopped weighing so often but the last time I weighed I had dropped 3lb - and I’m eating more than I was when I couldn’t lose any so I think that’s helping. I definitely look better I think, I can see some definition forming on my abs and my trousers feel looser.

I can do JM anytime around food but with running I have to leave a couple of hours between eating and running.

AlgonquinBay · 23/05/2021 20:54

Day 45 of Epic here today - one of those awful "every minute on the minute" ones
Well I just about survived but found it virtually impossible to do the number of exercises she suggests

Also did 5 mile walk!

I may try yoga inferno @Wineloffa -
I am not very bendy but find yoga intriguing!!

roonetta · 24/05/2021 12:56

Well done on getting your workouts in Beetroot. I am finding it harder to fit them in now things have started getting back to normality.

Hate hate hate EMOM Algon. I can never keep up, although when I am dying on the floor I notice Caroline can't even keep up with herself, so that makes me feel a bit better Grin

Epic 2 day 20 Calisthenics 1 hour full body done

Well done to all. Still plugging away here, finished off WOs 5 and 6 this week so hitting WO7 tomorrow. Have watched about half of it and it looks like another step up. Beetroot I like WO6 but not a huge fan of 5. That damn crab move with raised leg is not my friend - have to move to the cheat move after about 5 lifts. And the cable strength move after the cable cardio is a killer!

Dare I ask what Every Minute on the Minute is?

My body is not built for yoga so I tend not to enjoy anything too yoga-esque but perhaps that's exactly why I need to embrace it.

I have picked up DS' head cold and have my second jab tomorrow. Hoping to power through and stick to my schedule but will take a day off if I need to

Wineloffa · 25/05/2021 21:21

Hi Everyone,

Still plugging away with Ri30 L4. It’s definitely easier than L3!! Did it at 6.30 this morning, then did a spin class at 6pm which was horrific. My first one in nearly a year and thought I was going into cardiac arrest 15 mins in!! Anyway, made it to the and glad I went. Onwards and upwards, the next one will be better!

Anyway, feeling so tired now, I’m off to bed.

AlgonquinBay · 26/05/2021 08:43

Queuing- EMOM is an evil HIIT workout where she gives you a set of exercises that you have to do when the minute buzzer starts. The aim is to finish the set of exercises quickly enough that you have a short 10-20 second rest before the next minute buzzer and then you start the set of exercises again. You do this for ten minutes on a row. An example of the one I did this weekend was 10 burpees, 20 alternating jumping lunges and then 10 jumping squats. ConfusedConfusedConfused

AlgonquinBay · 26/05/2021 08:44

Had a rest day on Monday and then day 46 of Epic yesterday with a 4 mile run/walk.

Plan to do day 47 and another run later today. Smile

roonetta · 26/05/2021 11:52

Wow ladies you are all smashing it at the moment!!!

Yes Queuing, the EMOMs are horrendous. There is no way I can get all of those exercises done in 1 minute and leave any rest time. I usually cut the numbers by half and am still dying Blush. Well done on moving up to WO 7 and 8 Star

Glad you are finding L4 easier Wineloffa. L3 is definitely hard core.

Not long til the half marathon now Algon - you are definitely getting your miles in - inspiring Star

Epic 2 day 22 lower body complexes. Tough one.

I forgot to say hope you are feeling better Queuing. I too have had a dreaded head cold (also caught from my DS) this week. I have heard lots of people saying the same thing. Flowers

Epic day 48 done and just 2 more to go eek! Upper body dumbell workout.

Enjoy your week away roonetta - we have booked a week in Dorset in July, which I'm really looking forward to. The weather is looking a lot nicer for next week, at least no rain which is a bonus Smile

Queuing4Fergs · 28/05/2021 08:49

We're in Dorset in July too! I'll keep an eye out for a super ripped woman who looks like she knows her way around a burpee! Have a great time roonetta looks like the weather should finally be good.

Had my second jab on Wednesday and celebrated by doing my first BR WO7. I really enjoyed it despite thinking it looked super scary! Did WO8 yesterday which I enjoyed less (but David's rockstar jumps have to be seen to be believed) and my last workout this week will be Cardio 2 later on today. Am feeling a little spaced out today and not sure if it's the jab after effects or the 2 glasses of wine last night, but fortifying myself with coffee first.

Happy Bank Holiday to all and for those with kids, enjoy half term (my two are going to stay with their grandparents for the whole week - whoop whoop!)

gratedbeetroot · 28/05/2021 22:13

Hope you have a great time, roonetta!

Yay to having your second jab, Queuing! Did you have AZ or Pfizer? I suffered after my first AZ and am slightly worried about my second.

Glad you enjoyed WO7, I just did my last WO6 and i think I’ll miss it!

I am very envious of your children staying with their grandparents for the whole week! We live nowhere near family so never get decent child free time.

Have a great bank holiday weekend/ half term everyone!

AlgonquinBay · 29/05/2021 18:21

Queuing - the vision you have is more spectacular than the reality but I'll take it GrinGrin

Hope you're feeling better whether it was the jab or the vino Wine

Beetroot - I felt rough after my first AZ jab but absolutely fine after the second one, so hopefully you'll have nothing to worry about

Agree very envious about a child free week! Hope you enjoy!! WineGinGlitterball

gratedbeetroot · 31/05/2021 23:16

Thanks Algon, fingers crossed I’m the same.

Today I did WO7 straight after getting in from a 30 minute run this evening Shock Probably won’t do that again, it’s definitely stepped up!
