Run/walk/swim 1000 km/miles in 2020

After doing this successfully now for 2 years I thought I'd start the 2020 thread

18.66 miles of walking done this week, not great but the weather has been so awful that I've not wanted to leave the house!

With 12 weeks left in the year I need to do a huge 72 miles a week to hit 2000 miles...might not make it this year!

Nice quiet pool swim at lunchtime was struggling abit with focus so did 10L blocks to get 1.2km done.

Cycled down for a sea swim at lunchtime in some sunshine Yah after days of torrential rain n grey in SW it was nice to get a sliver of blue sky back briefly.

It was a lovely morning for a run here today. Cool and breezy, the river and waterfall really high but hasn’t broken its banks yet.

Did my 5k in under 30 minutes for the first time in ages today. My last park run back in February was 28 minutes so running on my own all the time has definitely made me slower.

Well done inniu my running has dropped right off I’ve gone from 29mins back upto 33mins at the moment but I’m just not motivated to run much at the moment as it niggles my hip too much.

Nipped out on my bike at lunchtime for sea swim but got soaked cycling home in mini downpour!

You obviously should have swum for longer, you'd have got no wetter but your clothes would have stayed dry.

6.5km. We went down an unpromising track and found a route from one of our standard walking areas - not the greatest but there's always parking available and 'local' if there is a tightening for lockdown - to the start of a really nice area which we thought would be inaccessible because from the other direction it becomes impassably muddy, really chewed up by horses unfortunately. Also it offers possibilities to go off into other directions for a longer walk.

It's getting better, but I really need to up my mile count if I want to hit my target! Might start spending some time on the treadmill if I can't get out for a walk!

Hope you enjoyed your swim inniu I had a sea swim Sat and Sun morning making the most of it before unsettled weather comes in again. Updating totals from cycles and swims they don’t appear to changed on Strava so I’m not sure I’ll leave these for now maybe Strava hasn’t synced?

We intended to walk today, but the place where there's normally oodles of parking was rammed, people double parked etc. I fear local lockdown in our county will mean we will always need to leave really early to get a place, and stick mainly to weekdays. 
I think this is post 995 so we need a new thread @thenewaveragebear1983 - or anyone else!

Lovely 6k this morning.

Expecting rain, flooding and a very restrictive lockdown later today so I enjoyed my run when I had the chance.
