All welcome

Sounds lovely errol, It was hot here hit 24c lunchtime then went super humid. Haven’t done anything as youngest DD is off school with snotty cold and think I’m nursing it too..well I’m hoping it’s just a cold! Had hoped to seaswim but just couldn’t be motivated so ate chocolate instead Blush

ErrolTheDragon · 15/09/2020 19:31

If you're coming down with a back-to-school cold (I'm so glad to be past that stage) then chocolate sounds like a much better idea than a sea swim. Though that can sometimes be a powerful sinus clearer I suppose!

The place we walked today is quite near us, we didn't used to go there often enough in the past. It is indeed lovely, and blissfully quiet - most people shoot up by it on the motorway (some distance to the side of it) unawares.

Struggled through my 6k again today.
I think I might be menopausal. I have been waking up at night with hot sweats and generally sleeping badly.
I am blaming the poor running on it anyway.

But on the bright side it was a year ago this week that I started C25K and I would have been delighted then with struggling to do 6k.

Doing 6k after a rough night sounds pretty awesome to me.

Night sweats may signify menopause - OTOH it has got warm again, I'm past that stage but had to chuck off some bedding last night.

I fear some changes women in the US had thought would be enduring may not be.Sad

12 km today, making the most of this weather while it lasts

TriSkiRun99 · 20/09/2020 13:52

Had a week of enforced downtime with child off school I’ll and us all feeling under the weather so nothing to add to my totals accept a 4km row on my new rowing machine, bought incase of more lockdown over the winter and to help cross training as I think running will continue to aggravate my hip if I push my distances again.

Running 377.5km
Cycling 681km
Swimming 35.5km
Rowing 4km

TriSkiRun99 · 20/09/2020 13:53

I agree errol, she was such an inspiring resilient woman.

Inniu · 20/09/2020 16:34

TriSkiRun
I think I am about to head in to downtime for the same reason. DS is rarely unwell but has a cold. No fever or other Covid symptoms thankfully so no need to be tested.

This week will not be a great week at all, my little one has come down with Chickenpox 😪 which means we can't really go anywhere.

Lovely cycling weather atm

SpringFan · 21/09/2020 18:33

Sorry to hear that several of you have the start of new school year lurgys. I managed to potty train DS1 when he had chicken pox Amysaurus- nothing like multi-tasking.
I am making good progress on my Strava target of 72 miles in September - I've done 55 miles which means I should manage it with time to spare. Last time I posted I was going to need a 31 day month!
I have a few K from the crosstrainer in the gym I can add in if I really need to as well.

amysaurus87 · 21/09/2020 20:29

@SpringFan I think I'll focus in helping him through Chickenpox rather than potty training him thanks. Trying to work from home at the same time so I dont really need to multi task even more by potty training.

ErrolTheDragon · 21/09/2020 20:32

ThanksAmy - working with a sick kid sounds pretty grim. Hope he gets well soon.

amysaurus87 · 21/09/2020 21:31

@ErrolTheDragon it's not the best! I'm only at home as he has the pox, I'm normally in the office. He's always super clingy when he's ill, so its lots of calls with him sitting on me and lots of late working responding to emails!

TriSkiRun99 · 21/09/2020 22:23

Yah got back in for 2x sea swims today one in morning and one in evening with youngest DD beautiful evening here. Nice to be feeling abit more human again. Plus a longer cycle home from the morn swim.
Get well soon others struggling, I still have teen off school with cold hopefully she goes back tomorrow.

Running 377.5km
Cycling 694km
Swimming 36.5km
Rowing 4km

Inniu · 24/09/2020 08:49

Amysaurus I hope the patient is recovering. They can be so uncomfortable with chickenpox.

I caught DSs head cold. No Covid symptoms thankfully but definitely not up to running. I keep hoping I will wake up feeling not exhausted but it hasn’t happened yet.

TriSkiRun99 · 24/09/2020 21:44

Couple of runs and swims to add to my totals. Nice to get some short trail runs in before the evenings get too dark.

Running 387km
Cycling 696km
Swimming 39km
Rowing 4km
