All welcome

Super hot lunchtime cycle - slightly broke my eldest daughter on our quick spin before our conference calls 🤣not sure she was that impressed! As too hot.

Just 3.8 km today. It was nice in the wooded valley, but unpleasant on the track down to it - heavily used by a pony trekking outfit, I think, seriously large amounts of horseshit and accompanying flies. And I'd not realised we were going to be doing this walk so I was wearing sandals. Bit of an error.Grin

Sandals in horseshit does not sound fun.

I walked around the zoo for 3 hours this afternoon. Lovely but combined with the run this morning I am mid tired.

ErrolTheDragon · 24/06/2020 21:24

I managed to walk quite pickily!

Doing better on my walking than running but I guess it all counts!

TriSkiRun99 · 25/06/2020 17:13

Early cycle down for sea swim (was lovely quiet, flatish & warm Smile) and lunchtime cycle to get fresh eggs.

Too hot - didn't go out yesterday and only 2.7km because DH was feeling too warm.

Nice 3.2 miles late evening walk with DS, saw loads of bats down quite low It was still quite warm though.
454k /546 plus what ever I did in the gym before lockdown.
Toe has recovered, - nail doesn't seem to be coming off, and have nearly doubled my May distance already.
Also discovered one of the gym instructors has put her kettlebell class ( and a Pilates class) on line, so its an alternative toJoe Wicks.

Went out intending to do 7k but did 10K instead. Came home and realised I had forgotten to put the roast in the oven before I left. Sad
Dinner will be very late.

Oh dear innui hope it still tasted yum.

Great run bear hope the hamstring didn’t play up afterwards.

Had long bike ride this morning was still windy & couple of showers but a good 2hr ride 38km. I’m trying to get a couple more rides in before the end of the month as part of the Love to Ride June challenge. I’ve done over 100m now this month, most have been short rides but need to start building a bit more distance now if I can find the time!

@ChimneyPot which half were you doing? I only ask because I am trying to find a virtual one for July, unsuccessfully, and I know that a lot of the real life ones have switched to virtual .

thenewaveragebear1983 · 30/06/2020 20:06

Not sure what happened there?
Anyway, I found a half marathon if anyone else was looking??
Race for the stones, can do it over multiple sessions if you want to (between 6-12th July ) and you get a nice shiny medal!
Also fell down a rabbit hole and ended up entering the gnr solo (which is 40 runs of any length between 28th June and 13th September)

Too hot then too rainy and then too much work yesterday derailed me from making 1000K in the first 6 months..

5.5 today

The virtual challenges sound good bear
Be kind to yourself errol that’s still a brilliant achievement given the strange times we find ourselves in.

Early 6k this morn, weather very close it felt hard work but I’m also on strict healthy eating lower carbs and massively cut my sugar intake and my body feels a lot less achy which is good, but I find running really hard, cycling is slot easier when restricting calories I find. Ive dropped 9lbs in 2wks so lockdowns gain is gone and now to lose another 20lbs....

9lbs is a lot to lose in 2 weeks. Best of luck with the other 20. I lost 35lbs last year and feel so much better without it.
Well I have about 4lbs of it back during lockdown but that is not too bad.
