After doing this successfully now for 2 years I thought I'd start the 2020 thread

Keeping up my mini-Tri weekend workout. Cycled to sea swim (300m), cycled longer route home (10k) and did 4K run off the bike on Sunday. Whilst Saturday I had a longer ride and tough return leg against the wind, but it was good to get some decent cycle mileage (36km) done.

A very rainy, but not unpleasant, 4.6 km today. The kitchen is now full of gently dripping goretex.

A nice 7.3 this morning, out early so we got back before the rain started despite a slight delay catching a a straying young Labrador and reuniting him with his owner who we'd met earlier shouting his name and walking in the opposite direction. She was surprised we'd been able to catch him, fortunately we had some homemade pizza with us. Our dog got the rest of that slice when we got home so a good outcome.

Had a few days off this week although did do C25K with ds. Was nice to give the muscles a break!

Had a sea swim 6 out of the last 7days only had a break to miss the pollution run off following the day of torrential rain. I have been cycling to the seafront and when I’ve had time cycled a longer route home to build up some kms. Ran only once this week 6k yesterday. Still struggling with running leg issues hence focus on swim/cycle. Gd to read up on everyone else’s runs & activities.

3 hour family walk yesterday ended up being a tad scrambly as we lost the path got into trouble on a steep river side but kept cool heads back tracked as kids were getting freaked out...realised we should have been on the other side of the raging river oops! So didn’t get my wild swim as we couldn’t access the calmer pool bit, But we didn’t see anyone else and the carpark had been full when we got back 🤣so it had an advantage. Completed a hitt session this morning and hope to sea swim later after home schooling is done.

5k this morning. I had hoped to do 10 but it was so warm.

A medal and face mask from a 10K I did in early May arrived. The medal is shaped like a corona virus.
