New thread all Smile

plink I love the circuit workouts but they always fool me into thinking they are going to be easy but they hurt!! Shoulder intervals are definitely the easiest of them all and there for my favourites Grin

Plink no they’re not wound pains they’re bowel pains! Gp has said I have to get a blood test to test for ‘everything’ 😲 to rule everything out and has said I can increase dose of anti spasmodics in the hope. Debating if I can face going for blood test this afternoon before school pick up having soent all morning waiting and seeing gp (and getting baby ready etc). The quicker I have the test the quicker I get results. Enjoy all the exercise before pg (in the nicest way possible!) I remember doing workouts and really savouring them not knowing if I’d get pg and when I might be physically capable again (although loads of people just keep going during pg, my body is just rubbish).

yumyumpoppycat · 06/09/2019 08:47

Hi Hippy welcome! What about the new workout on Monday Roman mentioned as then you will have a buddy or two on here?

Reastie I hope the results from your blood tests come back quickly when you have them done. Well done for getting to GP to get it looked into.

Beachbody OD still working - I think it will run out for me next week though. I did the real time intro workout for 21 day fix today and found it fine apart from the twisted jump ropes Blush

Purple my foot problem has improved a bit but is basically still there. I will give it a couple more months then go to a gp. The vitamin d stuff seems ok - periods back to regular and legs no longer have the weird loose stetchy pain things. I am not bouncing with energy or anything exciting like that but def feel better than I did. I feel like I have a touch of butterflies in my tummy for you about the ultra marathon - it is kind of exciting to even 'know' someone doing that!

Plink I am glad to be getting back on the band wagon - I think though need to keep posting here for support from you guys as it means I at least do a couple of workouts a week rather than zero!!

Thank crunchie it's Friday everyone

PlinkPlink · 06/09/2019 09:23

Thank crunchie 😂😂

Never heard that before 😂😂

yumyumpoppycat · 06/09/2019 09:58

showing my age it's an advert from the 80s Grin www.bing.com/videos/search?q=Get+That+Friday+Feeling+Crunchie+Advert&view=detail&mid=E64B74FC4C56B7BE25E1E64B74FC4C56B7BE25E1&FORM=VIRE

Never thought I would say this but I need to add some warm up stretches to 21 day fix tomorrow as I had a bit of pain in my hip during workout (dodgy foot site) and it was pretty uncomfy for school run … bloody hell I am falling apart!

PlinkPlink · 06/09/2019 10:27

Oh my god I remember that advert!!!

Oh I had that too yum

It's gone away but it was there after my 1st workout back. I think it's a sign that I shouldn't have too long a break. Eep.

Gone now - should go away once you get back into the swing of things I reckon. Stretching will definitely help.

Reastie · 06/09/2019 12:36

I remember that advert! So funny, I just heard the first ‘ooooooohhhhhhhh’ and I remembered it straight away!

Purpleraindeer · 06/09/2019 20:53

Welcome hippy!
I’m full on panicking about my race tomorrow. OMG. I know it will be fine (hard but fine) when I start but I can’t help worrying. Argh.
Reastie - I remember we’ll only getting to do 20mins of my workout before ds needed a feed/woke up etc. As I read your post I was right back in that moment.... solidarity!
Poppy - glad you’re feeling a bit better. The plantar fasciitis is taking a long time to heal. How frustrating for you
Have a good day tomorrow - I’ll be running for most of it Shock

PlinkPlink · 06/09/2019 21:16

Eek!! Good luck purple !!!

You'll be great! I have no idea what the going phrases are for running encouragement? Take your time seems like a stupid thing to say 😂

Enjoy it and do your best. I'm sure you will absolutely smash it!!

Theromanempire · 06/09/2019 21:44

Ooh good luck purple. Can't wait to hear all about it Smile

Star Good Luck Purple!! Star

Reastie · 07/09/2019 05:22

Purple enjoy! Looking forward to an update. Pace yourself and don’t start off too fast in all the excitement. You’ll do great!

PlinkPlink · 07/09/2019 09:34

5:22am Reastie were you feeding a hungry baby at that point by any chance? 😂

Reastie · 07/09/2019 13:58

Plink 😂 you were lucky you didn’t get me at 3am! Most days I’m up for the day from 3/4am. No wonder I’m falling apart!

Purple thinking of you. Keep running!

Purpleraindeer · 07/09/2019 14:15

I wondered that when I saw your post at that time reastie! I finished in c5hrs 45. Will need to check website when the times go up. I was a lot faster than I expected - so much so that DH and kiss were still eating their lunch in prezzo when I crossed the line!

Roman - I’m definitely up for doing that new bbod programme with you plus diet but will need to start in a week or so’s time - I predict very sore legs for me for the next few days!

yumyumpoppycat · 07/09/2019 14:25

Purple - how many miles was it - wow sounds like you did amazingly! Well done Star hope your recovery is quick.

Reastie up at 3 or 4 for the day - that is really hard. Hope you manage to fit in some weekend naps.

Plink I think you were right the pain was just from being rusty. I did some stretches followed by day 1 real time 21 day fix - I am now good sore, really pleased as I finished the whole workout - it went pretty quickly. I fell asleep in a chair after lunch - god knows what would happen if I did a marathon Blush My eating was horrendous yesterday but I am back on MFP today and feeling more on the wagon.

Reastie · 07/09/2019 14:46

Purple well done 🏆🥇, that’s a fantastic time. How are your legs?!

Yumy glad the stretches helped and hope the rust is soon shed 😁

PlinkPlink · 07/09/2019 17:02

Well done Purple !
How are you feeling? A good rest is well deserved over the next couple of days I think 😂

3am argh! You poor thing. You'll start getting some proper sleep soon 😊 is your DD an early riser too?

I get rusty too. Feels like everything aches if I dont workout. My body can cope with a weeks rest but any more and it starts to complain. Well done for getting back on the MFP wagon!

PlinkPlink · 07/09/2019 17:03

Try again 🙄

Well donePurple!

I get rusty too, yum . Feels like everything aches if I dont workout. My body can cope with a weeks rest but any more and it starts to complain. Well done for getting back on the MFP wagon!

Reastie · 07/09/2019 18:22

Plink dd is an evening person and has to be forced to bed and usually doesn’t settle until about 9-9:30. By which point I’m dead on my feet! What with that, then being up in the night with Ds then being up so early maybe it’s no wonder I’m fettingawful ibs exhaustion. My body feels desperate to work out, it’s so weak but so wants the exercise yet I’m so shattered physically often I just can’t do it. A week with nothing but a short bit of yoga and step. Hoping for a c25k tomorrow but totally depends how tonight goes.

Purpleraindeer · 07/09/2019 18:58

It was 50km. Legs ok-ish now. I forecast soreness tomorrow!
Well done on your workout poppy. I love a workout and then a little snooze Blush

Reastie · 07/09/2019 19:00

Purple my fastest ever 10k was an hour. I can’t imagine running practically that speed for nearly 6 hours non stop. Incredible!

yumyumpoppycat · 07/09/2019 22:01

I feel quite reassured that you have a post exercise snooze occasionally too Grin Brilliant achievement - like reastie I cant quite comprehend running at a fast pace for nearly 6 hours. Did you enjoy it? I hope your family saved you some pizza Wink

Reastie I think you should treat yourself like you are on a retreat lots of yoga and strolls through the park and fancy herbal teas - in all honesty it would be mars bars, coffee, and toast if I was coping with sleep deprivation - exercise would be a walk to costa in the hope the baby fell asleep in the buggy.

My MFP achievement has been slightly ruined as dp and eldest dd wanted curry for dinner so I ordered our first ever family takeaway curry (pizza has been ordered lots of times before obviously). Going to try and input it into MFP … could be scary. On the brightside no alcohol, chocolate or snacks today.

PlinkPlink · 07/09/2019 22:48

Such an amazing achievement Purple are you happy with your time?

Oh yum curry is my fave Blush I could easily eat it every day for the rest of my life. If you haven't tried it already, try Saag Paneer. Cubes of cheese with spinach. Tastes amazing at our Indian. We quite often have a tray each Blush well done on the no alcohol, chocs or snax. I find chocolate particularly difficult to eliminate.

I did my Liift4 Shoulders today. Felt so good after I even attempted some different workouts. P90X2 seems far too hard... such a step up from Liift4. Tony is just insane. I flicked onto one of his specials. 5 min pushups. Great I thought, I'll take that as an added extra. Noooooo... these were extra slow push ups so I could barely even do one! Does anyone follow him on Insta? His photos and vids are mad as well. The stuff he can do at his age! I hope I'm still live and kicking like that when I'm 60 odd Shock

I am tempted by 21dfx though... 30 mins each. Could work with DS's naps Grin

Reastie · 08/09/2019 06:16

Plink I found p90x2 insanely hard. Probably very good for core strength though, but there were quite a few exercises I modified and even so it was so impossible I felt like it would be easy to injure myself. Some great workouts and moves on it though. It doesn’t seem to be very popula, I suspect because of the amount of equipment needed.

Hippywannabe · 08/09/2019 10:04

Morning. Is the new hybrid on BOD? I am having today off, went back to work this week after 6 weeks off and had an unexpected visit with DS, DIL and DGS yesterday. I need to catch up with house things and have a couple of hours vegging.
