Welcome carrotcake I find the same reasons stop me running. It’s hard fitting it in but feel better when I do.
I’m impressed by your months total chesney I’ve struggled to get in to double figures this month let alone treble. Maybe in September.
Hot and humid run this morning but now for coffee and some chocolate cake Cake

I'm lucky with my shifts that I can fit a fair amount of running in. And I had a week off work.

5.1 miles this morning steady off road to reach my 100 for the month.

Thanks for the welcomes. Smile And sorry to hear about poorly tooths.

5.3 miles for me tonight. Lovely rolling hills and woodland. New route so that's always nice.

100 miles per month is good going! Well done.

I was gong to tot up this years runs from strava, but I'm not even sure it'd reach double figures! So as its the 1st of the month I may as well start from scratch...

8 miles on tues takes us to 753.6.

Great running emummy I got up to 155 in July, my highest ever, just hoping my body holds up to more in aug.

8 miles with some intervals tonight, could not be bothered but forced myself out the door!

AuntieStella · 02/08/2019 00:45

A quick post to fling in my last July miles, from a 30 minute easy and a club run, 10k with intervals in the middle

Great running everyone, I think we should give ourselves a pat on the back for making it out there in the heat! I have postponed my run this morning after a shocking night's sleep, so not sure if I can squeeze it in tomorrow - am Run director at parkrun so it would need to be very early - or skip it altogether. Will see how I feel later after industrial amounts of coffee!

I'm hoping to do my 20th different Parkrun in the next couple of weeks (and get my cow cowl)

If it wasn't outing, I come and play tourist at yours sometime.

emummy · 02/08/2019 11:41

Good luck. We are in the north east of Scotland, based in the grounds of a castle, so if you're ever up north do come & say hello!

Long run this morning in cooler cloudier conditions. Ran out of shot bloks so used dried cranberries instead which worked ok. Also really enjoying the Active Root ginger drink on runs, my tummy seems more settled with it.
AuntieStella I've got confused, looking back at your post do you mean that you have been at my Parkrun?! If you have then my reply to you makes even less sense than usual, sorry!

5.1 miles off road yesterday.

Wanted to do a long slow run after work today but had cramp in my calf over night and it felt really tight when I woke up.

I've already run 30 miles this week, so decided to leave it and do a steady shorter run tomorrow. Hopefully be better by then.

Did park run yesterday and knocked a whole min of my PB so under 30mins was tired from 2hrs max broken sleep due to poorly child and a less than helpful DH so tiredness plus being pissed off with DH obv does the trick!!

Stingynettle · 04/08/2019 22:36

Well done on the PB east!

9 miles for me today. Didn't feel great so a bit of a slog. Adding in 7 miles from Thursday.

IRun4Me · 06/08/2019 08:58

Good stuff IRun!
Interval session for me this morning in the sunshine, pleased with the paces. Run got interrupted by Dd telling me she got the exam results she wanted, so did the rest of the run with a big smile on my face!

Well done @eastmidswarwicknightnanny and @IRun4Me.

I did 4 miles off road yesterday. Felt so tired as had been up since 4am.

Had a massage on my legs after which helped the calf no end.

Today I had a nap after my 3am work start when I got home. Worked much better and did 11.7 miles off and on road. Listened to an audio book and the miles flew by.

OhYouBadBadKitten · 06/08/2019 21:38

Well done to your DD emummy that’s fantastic.
chesney I don’t know where you get your energy from. I’m seriously impressed.
Well done on keeping going badkitten The mental battle can be so tough sometimes.
I did a quick run before dinner last night. But my feet were sore when I got up this morning. Time to replace the trainers I think.
