After doing this in 2018 a new thread for new folk to join the 2019 challenge. Pick your target, log your miles and see what you can achieve whilst encouraging each other Anyone want to join me?

Slow hot tired 8.5k no energy so cut short my planned 10k.

6 km this morning, fast 3km at tempo and 1km of hill sprints, with a 2km recovery jog at the end.

Not been enjoying the last few runs (don’t do hot running) so got back on the bike today for a lovely 35k ride was going to do there and back but cut it short with a ferry taxi ride to cut off 25k felt like a tourist but was fun.

Swim last night 1k. Plan to run early tomorrow then off on hols for 9d. It will be an active hols but not sure I’ll get much running done in the Alps their abit steep for me but will pack the running kit just in case I find a nice flatish loop.

Last run 8k this morning ugh hot humid then it started to rain Yah! The first rain sprinkle in nearly 3wks!! Was lovely but still lost my running mojo hopefully a 9d break now will re-charge me.

Another km in the pool and walk around a lake. 30c today so the swim was very welcome. I keep laying out my running kit before bed but keep going nah at 6am 😂then it gets too hot to run past 8am.

Tri the swimming sounds blissful though. It's going to be 31* here tomorrow and I'm ducking out of running unless I can be up and out by 6- which I already know I won't be!

Yes temperatures are climbing all over Europe I think. Topped out at 34c today was unbearable 1-5pm so didn’t go to the pool until 5pm. Lovely swim with my eldest daughter today in the lanes she very petite (looks 10yrs) but was out pacing the French fellas . 1.2km swam in the outdoor 50m pool heaven. Off to the lake again tom.

Flipping hot ere spent morning at lake then didn’t go to pool complex till 5pm & it was still too hot to swim outside so did 1.1km inside pool today.
