Exercise every day 2018

Anyone up for tracking some exercise every day in 2018?

I currently do yoga and bootcamp classes at the gym and stopped running in September due to an injury (but not injured any more!)

I don't drive so walk everywhere. I wouldn't count walking as exercise unless I went further/faster on purpose, but willing to count say 20 mins easy yoga so that I don't burn out with intense exercise every day.

I'm hoping the streak will appeal to the my obsessive nature and mean that I push myself to do more this year.

Anyone else up for it? Grin

Well done everyone. Seems like today was a bit of a distance/endurance day for lots of you! Day 21/365 done here. I did Adriene's Yoga for Tired Legs video. Really helped with the DOMS from yesterday.

Three weeks down!

Wow. Three weeks Shock Yay us! Star

Submariner · 22/01/2018 06:40

I know right?! Grin

What are you working on in the gym at the moment Quinoa? I noticed you've been a few times this week. One day I will go back through and do some of the videos that you've linked too! I'm loving the inspiration to keep this from getting boring.

21/365 swim and yoga

QuinoaKeen · 22/01/2018 12:51

I love going to the gym Sub. It's not that I am particularly fit but it's just my time to tune out. I work full time and have three kids, so appreciate the time out.
I usually run on the treadmill for 20 minutes (trying to gradually increase this), then head to the weights area and then back to the cardio section for a ten minute bike ride or cross trainer.
Also trying to gradually increase my weights to get rid of the flabby arms!

Day 22 - 5k run

Submariner · 23/01/2018 06:35

I know what you mean about me time. I hated PE as a school girl, now going to the gym is like going on holiday, I love it.

My regular Monday yoga was cancelled indefinitely last night which is a pain as it fit in perfectly with my week. Now I have to decide what to replace it with. I don't want two 'intense' classes in a row because if I'm feeling sore I just won't turn up for the second day and keep missing it. So I either need to stagger my class days or go for something more restorative.

I was dead tired last night anyway so I did the smallest amount of bedtime yoga. So my workout ended up being mostly laying on my back in happy baby pose.

I'm definitely the laziest person on this thread!

I was not feeling it and wanted a quick low impact cardio workout. How else can I explain the horror that was me, a 40 year old uncoordinated non-dancer, doing the 30 Minute Sexy Cardio Dance Vixen Workout.
Blush

Still, day 23/365 done.

QuinoaKeen · 23/01/2018 10:58

Day 25/365

30 minute Pop sugar HIIT video on YouTube. Had to get up extra early to get it done as today is just back to back meetings. Sitting enjoying my coffee now, glad to have it done before my day begins.

Bestbees · 25/01/2018 21:17

24 yoga

25 swam a mile. More yoga!

QuinoaKeen · 26/01/2018 04:47

Day 26/365 done.

60 minutes cardio at the gym. It's a public holiday here today, so pretty much had the place to myself Grin.

Submariner · 26/01/2018 07:06

Best and Quinoa you are both getting on so well! I feel so tired this week. Yesterday was manic so I did some yoga at bedtime. It was actually lovely once I got going but I do find it frustrating when I haven't had the time/energy for something more challenging. Would love to get to the gym today but think it's going to be another busy day.

25/356 done - 26 to do today.

Sub the kids are still off school here and I'm working from home more than I usually do, so it's been easier for me.
The real challenge will come next week when they're back at school and I'm in the office...

I've already contemplated locking my office door and doing a workout. Pity the poor person on the floor below me Grin.

Bestbees · 26/01/2018 12:05

Thanks sub!

I have quite a easy life really, work three days a week and kids in school. Commute is a 10 minute walk so i have plenty of time!

26/365 4k run.

Lifeisabeach · 26/01/2018 21:19

Forgot to update!

Day 24 - 1600m swim
Day 25 - 5k run, hill reps
Day 26 - 1600m swim

Starting to feel as though I need a rest day soon! I’m hoping to do a half marathon so will need to start upping my run distances, but don’t know if I can do that and keep exercising every day. Suppose I could just do a mile run and that would be the rest day?

VivaLeBeaver · 26/01/2018 21:42

Feel like I’ve done loads this week.

Mon 5k run.
Tues and weds. 4 mile bike rides.
Thurs. core class, 1 hr mixed cardio then aqua circuits.
Today. Spin and body pump.

One of the instructors at the gym messaged me today and said my hard work is paying off And that I’m looking in really good shape which shocked me a bit. Because I don’t think I am compared to all the gym bunnies. I’m definitely still overweight but I guess he’s noticed a difference and it’s nice of him to say so.
