The newsest thread for all runners to chat and keep track of their miles. Everyone welcome for support, guidance and general running talk including very important kit choices Wink

Ive not run fur a few days I think I'll plan for tomorrow. We will see. Sounds like a few people have been off too. Hope you get back to it soon

MyBlackCat · 01/11/2017 20:48

Can’t believe it’s November already Shock

Another run whilst the boy settles into nursery, did some hill intervals - I feel like I’m struggling at the moment, not enjoying it as much as I was Sad

Do you think it’s because you know you’re returning to work MyBlackCat?

I have 13 miles to add to October's total.

461.4

And 3 to add to November.

13.3

MyBlackCat · 02/11/2017 19:49

Don’t think so cinnamon I think after the half marathon I’m just having a dip, the weathers not helping and as I have no upcoming race the motivation isn’t there.

Had a better run today, 15 min easy then 35 min at slightly quicker than HM pace then 10 min cool down. Was much more fun running at pace than the slow heart rate forced plodding.

A strong interval session tonight after blowing off the run earlier in the week

Anyone experience with a bag for running/commuting I.e. hold a laptop? It takes 30 mins on the tube but it’s only 2 miles away. Realistically I’m going to run less so was thinking about a little each day instead.

Firefries · 02/11/2017 22:03

I forced myself out today. (I wish it was summer still). Only 3.1 to add this week, so the November total for everyone is 27.7. Happy running!!

cinnamongreyhound · 03/11/2017 14:11

That’s good MyBlackCat! Is there a local race you can enter? Maybe a 10k so there’s not too much pressure for too many miles when you you know time is going to be restricted.

So much for feeling in a bit of a running rut.... I smashed my parkrun PB today Grin 23:15 - 25secs off my previous best set in February 2016. To say I’m feeling quite chuffed is an understatement.

Need to reset my goals Shock

Cross country survived. Slower than last year, will blame it on the wind! Dh ran too, his first race.

33.8

ClimbingPenguin · 05/11/2017 13:40

I did my first cross country too! The Oxon one, finally back to handicap time for that distance 😊.

Also did some gentle hills yesterday so 10.4 to add

44.2

ClimbingPenguin · 05/11/2017 13:41

Black cat strava tells my I set a 5km on today of 23:17 so we can set a goal together. Well done btw

emummy · 05/11/2017 17:48

Well done MyBlackCat and Climbing! My time today was much slower! I'm having another bout of doubting that I can go any faster; at the age of 46 I enjoy longer races more than shorter faster ones. There are 3 more races in the xc series though, so we'll see.

cinnamongreyhound · 06/11/2017 13:18

Bloody brilliant MyBlackCat and ClimbingPenguin!!!!!

Lovely Sunday run, was so crisp and bright was lovely. Getting busy towards the end and my newest dog is terrible with other people and dogs!!!
I was rd at parkrun and got totally soaked!!!! I was outside from 8-10 and it started raining 8.20 and jut got heavier until we’d packed up at 10! It was a really lovely atmosphere though and we had 101 happy people cross our finish line. 50.3

Thanks everyone and well done climbing - do we dare aim for a sub 23?? I can’t ever imaging my parkrun time starting with a 22 but you never know!!

Little one was back for a nursery settling in session this morning so I got a longish run in. Last week of maternity leave, my running miles may take a nose dive next week Sad

I’m going to aim for a parkrun PB at my home run before end of the year 🤞🏻

emummy · 07/11/2017 10:30

Very wet run in the woods this morning. Took it nice & steady and loved it.

Sorelip · 07/11/2017 10:46

ClimbingPenguin · 07/11/2017 13:28

I think we have to blackcat

MyBlackCat · 07/11/2017 20:14

The race is on climbing 😂

Buggy run with some hilly intervals thrown in

70.6

MyBlackCat · 08/11/2017 21:00

Easy 45 mins with the buggy - it was freezing today

74.8

emummy · 09/11/2017 11:06

It has been chilly hasn't it? Beautiful forest run on achy legs today, sunny and a whole 5 degrees! Highlight was hearing my name on the Marathon Talk podcast as so sent in a picture in MT kit. Very chuffed! Is that a bit sad?!

79.3

cinnamongreyhound · 09/11/2017 16:52

It was chilly but it’s warmed up here again now! Tuesday eve, weds morning and this morning to add. 90.3
