Happy New Year, everyone. If you've got a New Year resolution to do more exercise and think crazy Jillian may be the answer, come and sign in here for moral support, chat and a chance to moan.

Ripped in 30 L1 D2 done. Still hate cardio, but it felt like a good start to the year.

Just did the first Kickboxing JM workout. Dripping with sweat now.

Contemplating cooling down (and doing some work) and doing another one later....

butI honestly don't know what to do or where to start.

She is fantastic though. a lot of food for thought, I'll be mulling over answers with notepad tonight.

On the stairs is the best way to do them:

Or you can do them up against the wall once with the back knee straight and once with the back knee bent so you get both calf muscles (gastrocnemius and soleus):

Infinityseven - I did kickboxing dvd for first time today! I had some serious issues to work out as going thru stressful time with house so did level 1 and 2 back to back and felt great afterwards Smile. Did you enjoy it?

Well done on the weight loss whoever just joined today (sorry on phone so can't check names).

What's this? I disappear for a few days and come back to find I've missed a JM web chat? Could someone link to it please?

Anyway, I've done 4 days of shred L2, should do another tomorrow and then I'll do L3 next week. The one thing I'm finding impossible at the moment (other than the pushups - the walkout part is fine but can barely drop) is the static squat - just seem to cramp up. I don't seem to remember it being so bad in the past (but that could be my memory at fault). I can do deep squats no problem, static lunge is no problem... Confused

Yoga Meltdown L2 D8 done. So cross I completely missed the webchat - was stuck in a training room pretending to coach someone about an imaginary problem.

Welcome Inky and Infinity. Errol, I have trouble with the static squat sometimes too - I think because my hip flexors are very tight, and it does seem better when I take the time to stretch them properly.

Well I did have my babywearing exercise class today, but DS2 decided to do an unprecedented hour and twenty minutes in his cot for his first nap, waking up ten minutes after the class had started Angry I daren't wake him when he does that because ordinarily I would like him to do longer cot naps, plus he'd scream his tits off if I woke him. And naturally the weather is hideous today, so I can't even go out for a walk.

AARGH!

I did L1D7 yesterday, but had a total failure this morning - couldn't get out of bed in time. Hopeless. Must Try Harder.

Just done L2 D1. Oh dear!! That was quite hard! Had to skip most of one cardio block (30 secs or so) as I was gasping. And the plank things with the legs!! It will be interesting to see if it does get easier in a few days.

The first couple times I thought I was actually going to die, and I couldn't walk down stairs for 2 days. Now its ok but a bit boring. Looking forward to level 2
