RI30 L2 D3 done, rather feebly - the wind and rain woke me up at 4.00 and I didn't get properly back to sleep, so I'm feeling quite weary. I bailed out of the crow push-ups and just did normal ones instead. Bimblepops, I'm astounded that you're finding it easier than L1 now you've got into it - you must have much stronger shoulders than I do!
I've also managed to bike to or from work three times this week, so that's 30 miles as well as JM-ing. If it's not too wet and windy this evening I'll take the bike home and that'll be 40 miles, which I feel quite chuffed about.
I'm not trying to lose weight, so not fussed about not having lost any since starting the Shred - I wouldn't have complained if I'd dropped a pound or two, but I wasn't actively going to do anything to promote it. I wasn't keen on actually gaining it, though!
ShyGirlie, moving up a level is OK, actually, though you need more coordination for L2 than L1. I find L2 less dull - fewer jumping jacks for a start! Also the push-ups are easier than the ones in L1. Though it sounds as though you might need a day or two off, or at least a day or two not doing the cardio, so that your calf can heal.
Elphaba, I know muscle's denser than fat - the thing I was trying to remember was what happens early on in the process of laying down the extra muscle. Another poster said she thought some people temporarily gained water weight as part of that process when minute tears open up in the muscles - though either she may have got it wrong or I may be misrepresenting her.
