We had 52 today, overcast and sticky is how I'd describe it. No. 37 for me, only 13 to go! I took my big doggy today :)

So how was it SoftKittyWarmKitty?

cinnamongreyhound · 17/05/2014 13:54

Sorry thenightsky, missed your post. Ice and rest and see how you are tomorrow I'd say, you'll know more then and won't get hold of a physio now anyway I wouldn't have thought. Hope it heals fast :(

Morrigu · 17/05/2014 14:35

Oh no thenightsky how is it now? I would think ice, elevation and ibuprofen.

How did big doggy enjoy it cinnamon? I would love to take my big mutt but she's not good out running. Likes to stop and sniff (and pee) too much.

Hope you enjoyed it today softkitty

Just over 100 at ours today. Was quite chilly but I still regretted putting a t-shirt over my vest by the end of the first lap. No pb but I didn't think so as I found it quite hard today.

cinnamongreyhound · 17/05/2014 17:25

He was good thanks Morrigu, much more focused than the last time he went. I don't usually take him since they stopped allowing two dogs as my little dog is harder to wear out and has a lot more stamina. He didn't stop at all, but I do think they get used to it. We do 4-5 miles a couple of times a week some of this on lead and some off so they definitely get more used to it :)

Blatherskite · 17/05/2014 18:24

Went to the inaugural Buckingham parkrun today and managed to run it in 25:18 which is a PB for 5k as well as for that course! We had lovely sunshine and found somewhere to have a really good ice cream afterwards too.

It's been a good day :)

SoftKittyWarmKitty · 17/05/2014 19:32

I did my first parkrun today and came in at 32:24, which I was pretty pleased with given the heat and the fact that I've only been running for three weeks. Definitely going to do it again - I've now got a parkrun PB to beat Wink.

thenightsky · 17/05/2014 19:36

That's a fab time soft. Well done.

My strained/torn/whatever calf is feeling a bit better after spending and afternoon being sunbathed. I just tried to jog round the garden though and the pain came back. Looks like i'm off running for a while Sad

Knackerelli · 18/05/2014 07:55

How's your calf today thenight? Fingers crossed its nothing serious and a rest won't fix.

Softkitty welcome to the parkrun family! Glad you enjoyed your first time; it's horrendously addictive Grin

originalpiratematerial · 18/05/2014 08:51

Well done blathers and softkitty!

Bad luck, thenightsky - sending healing vibes. Rest and ice, as cinnamon says, and hopefully you can get some physio soon.

cinnamongreyhound · 18/05/2014 10:08

Well done Blatherskite!!

So glad you went SoftKittyWarmKitty and well done on your time :)

Blatherskite · 19/05/2014 15:53

Just saw this on the parkrun Facebook page and had to share...

"parkrun, always one word and lowercase
Please help us by telling your friends"

Grin
cinnamongreyhound · 20/05/2014 14:12

My friend who is also an rd has invited me to do a freedom run tonight, not quite sure what will happen but will probably give it a go!

Blatherskite · 20/05/2014 14:33

I've logged all of the trial runs I did as freedom runs cinnamon. You run the course as usual then put your time in, along with which course you did, on the parkrun site. It comes up in it's own separate list.

cinnamongreyhound · 20/05/2014 20:13

Ok we did it, together so slow time for me, now need to figure out how to add it!

123rd · 20/05/2014 20:20

Hi All, just another dropping in too say we love parkrun. My Dd just picked up her 10 T shirt. She was very chuffedSmile

Blatherskite · 20/05/2014 22:02

You need to log in with the link in your results email cinnamon

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 23/05/2014 17:44

This has fallen off my TIO Shock. I haven't done parkrun for 2 weeks because of my hurt foot, and am missing it again tomorrow because DS1 is getting a prize at his school speech day and I have to be there instead. I hope you all have great tuns tomorrow Smile

Sounds a little more important than parkrun, next week sounds like a good time for a return!

originalpiratematerial · 23/05/2014 18:17

Doing my second parkrun tomorrow, as long as nothing goes wrong Hmm. I ran the local parkrun course last Sunday and there was loads of pollen blowing off the trees which made me cough and wheeze, so I hope it's a bit better now!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 23/05/2014 20:52

Enjoy pirate

Thank you cinnamon. I am very proud of him but a bit miffed at the clash with parkrun

Standingonlego · 23/05/2014 23:36

OK....after several weeks of non-parkrunning (note the one word and lower case use there blathers Grin)due to a number of low grade organisational and grumpy ankle fails i AM I AM going to be there tomorrow.

You lot can heckle me all you like if I miss it!!!! We have the Whipsnade 10k stampede in 2 weeks so i need to get moving!!!!

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 23/05/2014 23:38

Standingonlego · 23/05/2014 23:40

Oh and very importantly not only big cheers to all parkrun people out there but also to mini OhOneOhTwoOhThree DS1 :)

This has also inspired me to share a little mummy pride too - both mini legos won double gold at sports day Blush...So if the sack race is at the 2020 Olympics we have serious prospects Grin

Standingonlego · 23/05/2014 23:41

Actually just done the maths , better make it 2024 !

cinnamongreyhound · 23/05/2014 23:56
