Quite a few of us are interested in doing the Wolf Run this September so we were thinking of getting a team together.

It's for all abilities, it should be really good fun. It's not timed and it'll be too wet to wear your Garmin, so don't worry if you're not a fast runner. We'll be a team and no Wolef will be left behind.

It's on the 6th & 7th of September just south of Coventry, so fairly central. If we get a team together we get a slightly discounted entry.

If you're interested, post on here and we'll start making a list.

We also need to pick a charity so if everyone wants to suggest their favourite one and then we can argue about it for ages with no firm decision being made.

So, I'm in and my favourite charity is the Birth Trauma Association.

Prompted by the forward thinking OhOne please can those of you in my gang please PM your RL names too ready for registration.

Do you think we will need to know anything else for registration folks?

EauRouge · 01/02/2014 20:00

Am I in your gang, lego? I've lost track a bit.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 01/02/2014 20:02

I was going to put everyone down at my address if needed Grin

Dates of birth? Though if it's not timed I can't see they will need them for categorising results Smile

It's a while since I registered for anything Grin

Fishandjam · 01/02/2014 20:14

I'm going to regret this but.... I'm in. 5'6" of not very fit 40 year old. But on the bright side, my eyesight is excellent Grin

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 01/02/2014 20:16

Hooray Fishandjam Grin

EauRouge · 01/02/2014 20:20

Yes yes yes Grin You won't regret it, you can get around Parkrun in the mud- how much harder can this be? You're taller than that, aren't you? You tower over me.

Time for an updated list then.

Nope, 5-6 in my socks.

I'll have to start working on my upper body strength a bit!

Who needs what details and what money?

BigfootFiles · 01/02/2014 20:42

I'm in Cambs... and tempted by the call of the WOLF run. Is it too late to jump on your bandwagon? I'm 5'10", if that helps.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 01/02/2014 20:56

The more the merrier Bigfoot (especially as you will do wonders for our average height Grin)

EauRouge · 01/02/2014 21:11

Yay, someone tall! Where in Cambs are you, Bigfoot? Huntingdon parkrun is pretty good mud practice.

OP posts:
BigfootFiles · 01/02/2014 21:27

About 7 miles from Huntingdon!

EauRouge · 01/02/2014 21:35

You should come next Saturday! Assuming it doesn't get cancelled again.

OP posts:
BigfootFiles · 01/02/2014 21:47

Ah, it starts at 9 and I have to be in Cambridge with DD at 10 for her club, it's going to be a bit too tight. I might be able to wangle a free Saturday morning in the holidays though...

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 02/02/2014 16:50

Eau - I will pay you a visit one of these weekends. Can't come this Saturday, as I need to get away sharpish for a weekend away but not until I have done parkrun DH doesn't know yet. If you are cancelled again and fancy a trip to mine let me know Smile

jellybrain · 02/02/2014 18:56

O no Reastie I meant I was old and that you were probably much younger according to Nightsky's post and therefore if the likes of me 40++++ and counting could manage then you would be fineGrin

jellybrain · 02/02/2014 19:03

OhOneOhTwo... I have sent you a PM so, that's me fully committed now.

Blatherskite · 02/02/2014 19:26

There's a few ladies from my running club who have done the WOLF run already so I'll tap them for advice. They're all pretty much our height too. They're all desperate to do it again this year which must be a good sign :)

OhOne do you need me to PM you or can you extract the relevant info from my FB page?

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 02/02/2014 20:18

Gotcha jelly (and thank you for being exactly the same age as me, give or take 3 weeks Grin Grin Grin).

Blathers (and others) - according to the FAQ I need an email address for each member. I have yours now Smile (hadn't see this when I messaged you)

GeekLove · 02/02/2014 20:39

what gang am I in out of interest? This is so I know who to send my details too.

Thanks in advance,

Fishandjam · 02/02/2014 20:52

Me too geek. Who wants mine?

Please say I'm not going to be picked last

Standingonlego · 02/02/2014 20:57

OK - reeling back through the thread...

OhOne Gang - jellybrain, blathers, bella and tiredemma

My gang is EauRouge, WileyCoyote, OneHandFlapping and GeekLove*

Which by my estimation leaves bigfoot, fishandjam, feetheart (depending on GNR ballot), MitchyInge, starsandunicorns, beckyboo232, rollermum and beautiful soup still to gang up ready for registration.

Lego gang - Please PM me to confirm you are definately in and with your info :)

Standingonlego · 02/02/2014 20:58

I think we need a couple more hardy souls to join us to get up to the magic 20.

Standingonlego · 02/02/2014 21:00

No picking...it is just for registration fishandjam as we can do in batches of 5 :) OhOne and I can link the teams up to be one big team I think...

jellybrain · 02/02/2014 21:58

Just replied to your pm with my email address OhOne.

OhOneOhTwoOhThree · 03/02/2014 12:05
