I thought I had better start one seeing as no one else has.
Please add your updates, whether it is a New Year's Resolution to get fit or you have been here for the long haul!

I have just had two days off due to my lower abs being hugely painful, thing I must have pulled something the other day.
Hopefully back on it after the child goes to sleep.

Hope all is going well for the rest of you and you are all eager to go again when the kids are back at school. My poor DS1 starts back today!

Had two days off whilst at uni but back today with L2D8.
I don't think I am ever going to manage it on uni days.
I get up stupidly early and and get back to make dinner, sort the DC's then I just need to sleep. Hopefully as DS2 gets older and stops night waking it might get less exhausting.

Well done on everyone still going.
We will all get there soon!

D3L1 - Done! Extremely painful thighs but pushed through it

JRmumma · 09/01/2014 16:59

D6L1 done! I'm counting my rest day as a day is that right?

I'm feeling good today and also did a 30 min walk afterwards.

ErrolTheDragon · 09/01/2014 17:36

I don't, but really it's up to you.

ErrolTheDragon · 09/01/2014 17:41

I'm feeling good today and also did a 30 min walk afterwards.

walking afterwards, if feasible is a really good idea - cool down properly, fresh air. I always mean to take the dog out, but today the weather was foul and he's a wimp; yesterday we got about a third of the way before he picked up a thorn in his pad; the day before I dropped the lead as I posted some letters and the little devil set off for home. HmmGrin

officelady · 09/01/2014 17:57

I always count my rest days as long as I don't have more than 2 per week. Today was going to be a rest day for me but after coming on here & reading all your posts I thought I had better get my sports bra on and join in the fun Grin
So - L1D8 done. Hurrah!

Nightwish · 09/01/2014 19:07

I don't count rest days.
I count each day I do the DVD.
But she says you can move up when you feel ready so it shouldn't matter either way if you go by that.

DS2 got weighed today, he is over a stone!
So I walk at least 3 miles a day with a stone strapped to me.
No wonder I am out of breath walking up and down the big hill to school.

I love that everyone is keeping going because of this thread and being inspired.

I don't count rest days either, I'm having two this weekend as I have things on, so Monday will be a bit of a test of resolve!

PeppermintCream · 09/01/2014 19:52

OMG I decided to move up to level 2, even though I'd only completed 7 days of level 1. I think I'm going to die - I dread to think how I'm going to feel in the morning.

Respect to everyone on this thread, every day is an achievement.

LakeFlyPie · 09/01/2014 20:23

L1 D6 done.
I've discounted rest days as on reflection think I'll feel incomplete at the end of 30 Day Shred if I've only done 25 days!
Had some visitors early evening and had a glass of wine before I remembered about Shredding, think it made it a bit easier but was a bit more red in the face at the end >Blush
Will ensure I'm sober tomorrow.

bountyicecream · 09/01/2014 22:03

L1d3 done. I'm going to move up to level 2 tomorrow. I have run several times a week for years so have a fairly high level of CV fitness (though not strength) so think its time to turn it up a bit.

My main thought today as I was doing it was that I'd rather have Anita's body than Natalie's! Though I suspect they do more than just 30DS to look as they do.

officelady · 10/01/2014 06:38

Up at 5.15, Level 1 Day 9 DONE! All Natalie style apart from the second set of pushups because I just.cannot.do.that.many!
I'm going to re-do my measurements tomorrow and move up to level 2. I certainly don't feel any thinner yet, hoping I've lost a pound or two though.

For the people who are wondering what Anita and Natalie do when they aren't in the background of Jillian's DVDs, I think old Natalie "man-thighs" was/is a pro-wrestler. Not sure about Anita though. In other DVDs Jillian talks about a lot of her "girls" being dancers which would explain their amazing physiques. I will just settle for less belly flab and non-wobbly thighs Grin

spinningirl10 · 10/01/2014 07:28

I've done L1 D1 this morningGrin

I really like the fact that it keeps moving! With some DVDs I've done I find there's too much time between moves showing you what's next! I just like to get in with it!!

spinningirl10 · 10/01/2014 07:31

Does anyone know roughly how many calories L1 burns? I'm using my fitness app and like to input all data!

ErrolTheDragon · 10/01/2014 09:23

L1D5 done - looking forward to my weekend off. Smile

Followed up with 3 sets of inclined push-ups (on kitchen counter) - I'm determined to get off my knees this year!

ErrolTheDragon · 10/01/2014 09:28

Spinning, I found this discussion on calories burned. Obviously it depends how hard you go for it! Not bad for only 6 mins actual cardio

TravellingLemon · 10/01/2014 09:34

L1D5 complete.

Have had 2 rest days due to work (I know....excuses) but back on it today.

WillColbert · 10/01/2014 09:54

L1D4 of Ri30 complete. Have taken measurements and will report back on any changes at the end of the program. One benefit of shredding that I hadn't realised until recently - back fat around bra straps has gone. So that's an unexpected upside.

spinningirl10 · 10/01/2014 10:00

Thanks Errol, good to have a rough idea!

RalphLaurenLover · 10/01/2014 13:06

L1D4 complete

Measured today and I've lost an inch of my waist and half an inch off of my stomach already and I have the body fat app so I've now gone from 42.3% to 40.6% body fat since starting!

Lindt70Percent · 10/01/2014 14:38

I've just done L1D2. I did the most of the 30DS back in July and then fell down the stairs (top to bottom) and hurt my shoulder which is still a bit sore now but much better than it was. I didn't weigh myself or do any measurements last time so I've done all of that today. Last time I could really see the benefit of the workout but would have loved to have had actual measurements too.

I have to say I don't enjoy it much. I'm really, really sore today but I know that it will be okay in a few days time. I actually feel nervous at the start of a session and have to remind myself it's only 27 minutes from absolute start to finish.

Thinking back to last time I was okay with most of level 1 and 2 but I hated level 3. From memory I think it put a lot of pressure on my wrists as so much was done in plank position and I found that very difficult. This time if I still have a problem with level 3 then I think I'll just stick on 1 and 2 as something's better than nothing!

I have got Jillian's 6 pack in 6 weeks DVD too (which I only did twice about 3 years ago Blush) so may move to this instead of level 3.

This thread is a great idea and will keep me motivated!

msmoss · 10/01/2014 14:39

D11L2 done! Now have two days of rest as we're really busy this weekend. Today was really hard going so think my muscles will be happy with the break. Have a nice weekend everyone Smile

ErrolTheDragon · 10/01/2014 14:43

Hello Lindt
I'm trying to remember if it was shred L3 or one of the levels in Ri30 that had too many moves together in the same circuit which put strain on the wrists - I did some swapping around and it helped quite a lot. But you're right that if something really doesn't work for you then best do something else.

JRmumma · 10/01/2014 19:12

Ok so I'm not counting rest days now, do L1D6 done, but also 1 body pump class thrown in this week and a couple of walks.

Having another rest day tomorrow coz in out all day. Not ideal as i don't really want a day off but cant be helped.

Ill be back Sunday and if im not, please come looking for me!!!!

LakeFlyPie · 10/01/2014 20:06

L1D7 done.
Fantastic amount of shredding going on. I'm definitely feeling more able and possibly discovering some abs beneath the flubber.
Office 0515 Shock hats off to you.
