I thought I had better start one seeing as no one else has.
Please add your updates, whether it is a New Year's Resolution to get fit or you have been here for the long haul!

I have just had two days off due to my lower abs being hugely painful, thing I must have pulled something the other day.
Hopefully back on it after the child goes to sleep.

Hope all is going well for the rest of you and you are all eager to go again when the kids are back at school. My poor DS1 starts back today!

D11LV2 done.
I had a break yesterday and my knee was feeling better so pushed myself a bit more today. Knee sore again but not as bad as it has been.

Definitely noticed I had a break. But lots of sweating = good.

Once I've managed some good results I'd like to have a go at the yoga meltdown. My main strength is flexibility so reckon I could have a good bash at it.

bountyicecream · 10/01/2014 21:08

L2d1 done. Now enjoying pizza :)

JRmumma · 10/01/2014 21:19

bounty your name makes me dribble. Can you still get bounty ice creams

tanukiton · 10/01/2014 22:06

l1 d8 complete! sailed through the first set of press ups! flailed through the second!

had a break yesterday but am not counting it as a day.

Anyone just starting, honest it does get easier.
Going to down load level 2 from itunes. Next week is going to be hard to do as have my sons birthday followed by a 2 day trip to Tokyo disneyland!

ErrolTheDragon · 10/01/2014 23:37

Wow - so many people all doing so well!

See you Monday. Tomorrow we've planned a walk - DD is doing bronze DofE this year sand has just got a rucksack, I think the plan is to gradually increase her load and distance until she's comfortable with 12kg for 10 miles. So if anyone happens across a couple with a dachshund and not-very-big teen carrying a large pack, its not child cruelty, its us. Grin

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 10/01/2014 23:50

Ooh hello can I join you?

Just started shredding again (I did it once, but a long time ago so have more than lost the benefits!) just over a week ago, I haven't managed to do it every day but have done about 4 days so far I think (couple of days off for a bad cold, one when I was doing a lot of other exercise instead and today I just didn't manage to fit it in before eating so much curry I can't move at all now never mind frigging jumping jacks!).

I am enjoying feeling like it's working though, even if not actually enjoying doing it! After the couple of days off I felt like I was much better at it the next time than when I started.

DH is kind of doing it with me, though I half wish he wasn't - he clomps about like an elephant, annoys me trying to do everything at double speed, crashes into things, and we haven't got that much space so we get in each others' way too! But at least chatting a bit (when I have enough breath) can help to pass the time...

I still hate the push-ups!

spinningirl10 · 11/01/2014 07:27

L1 D2 done Grin

Myname....I know the feeling with someone doing it with you! My 7 year old ds woke up while I was doing it this morning and decided to join in!!!

Nightwish · 11/01/2014 11:53

L2D9 finished. L3 looming, not keen!
Hope you are all enjoying the weekend.

Welcome to all the new people - fab to see lots of us doing this together Grin
Day 10 completed - moved up to Level 2. It was harder than I recall from last year - especially all the lunges! I bet my legs are broken aching tomorrow! At the end I was the colour of beetroot glowing!
Have also redone my measurements - an inch off my waist and half an inch off hips - result Smile

spinningirl10 · 11/01/2014 12:50

Great inch loss office!!

Lindt70Percent · 11/01/2014 13:23

L1D3 complete. It felt a lot better today. I'm not aching as much either - can actually sit down without making a load of fuss now!

I just about managed to do everything this time as well although I don't think I'll ever be able to do the sideways lunges (not quite sure if that's what they're called) while holding weights; I always have to put the weights down.

Almost enjoyed it today.

Keep going everyone!

PeppermintCream · 11/01/2014 16:21

D2L2 done. I'm really feeling it. Missed a day yesterday as I had a fall at work (and I don't count rest days).

I'm really feeling it in my arms, but I'll stick with it.

Welcome new people. Well done everyone Grin

spinningirl10 · 11/01/2014 17:06

Just done d1 Ri30...could really feel it in my abs!
Obviously I've only just started 30day shred but hoping some days I can double up and do the 2!!

ErrolTheDragon · 11/01/2014 17:50

Lindt, there was some discussion upthread about that lunge and 'anterior raise' - there's more leverage on that move than the others, so if you're struggling, it may be a good idea to get some smaller weights (or maybe a couple of water bottles). You want weights that let you do the reps with good form. I use 3 different sizes of weight - more for the bicep curls and flies, little'uns for the anterior raise.

ErrolTheDragon · 11/01/2014 17:52

Not shredding today myself - did some planks and inclined press-ups though. And a hilly 4-mile walk with our Sherpa DD happily carrying 8kg in her pack. Smile

RalphLaurenLover · 11/01/2014 21:34

L1D5 - complete. Was going to have a rest day but felt bad haha! May have one tomorrow!

Lindt70Percent · 11/01/2014 21:52

Thanks ErrolTheDragon. At the moment I find the 'anterior raise' challenging enough without any weights, I think it's the height they're supposed to be raised too. I'll have a go at using some bottles of water once I'm starting to find it easy with empty hands!

I'm feeling good this evening but biceps are killing me. Still feeling quite wobbly everywhere though. Wish there was a quick, pain-free way round all of this!

ErrolTheDragon · 11/01/2014 21:59

I was quite surprised when I was doing it the other morning before it was light, our lounge is at the back and I'd left the curtains open so it was like a mirror - I was actually raising further than I thought I was. Perhaps because the body is dropping as the arms raise IYSWIM. Might just be worth you checking, you may be going higher than you think. But yes, do that one without weights and then work up, it is harder than the other arm moves.

Hopefully you're just about over the worst of the aches now.

bountyicecream · 11/01/2014 22:25

L2D2 done

MyNameIsInigoMontoya · 11/01/2014 22:52

L1D5 (I think) for me!

I am using 2 different size weights now too (as DH got a mixed set) - lighter ones for the anterior raises and squat-presses, heavier ones for the rowing and chest flies. I find it makes it easier to do the exercises "well" (good squats, for example) and means I can keep going to the end of the harder ones instead of having to skip a few reps towards the end.

LakeFlyPie · 11/01/2014 22:55

Rest day here as out and about all day and used usual Shred slot (DC bathtime) to vacuum and speed clean, did it vigorously though Grin

Back on it tomorrow.

RalphLaurenLover · 11/01/2014 22:56

My weights are only 2.5lbs each but I use them with the punchs and bum kicks to

tanukiton · 11/01/2014 23:57

l2 d1 done (badly). feel a bit shaky in the old arms. I couldn't do plank jacks more downward dog jacks as my arms are soo tired.

spinningirl10 · 12/01/2014 08:31

L1 D3 done!
Didn't want to get out of bed but pleased now its done!! Also managed to do first set of press ups off my knees!!

PeppermintCream · 12/01/2014 14:43

D3L2 Done Grin

Finding it really hard going in my arms. Strangely my legs are also feeling v sore today. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to do double jump ropes.
