I thought I had better start one seeing as no one else has.
Please add your updates, whether it is a New Year's Resolution to get fit or you have been here for the long haul!

I have just had two days off due to my lower abs being hugely painful, thing I must have pulled something the other day.
Hopefully back on it after the child goes to sleep.

Hope all is going well for the rest of you and you are all eager to go again when the kids are back at school. My poor DS1 starts back today!

I prefer the standing stretches in Ri30 too - sometimes do those instead if I CBA to stand up after the abs

L2D6 done today. Weighed myself and I've lost 4lb since 30th Dec which I'm pleased with. However, what pleases me more is that my waist has shrunk by 7.5cm since 14th January (unfortunately I lost my waist measurement for 30th Dec)! So chuffed about this. I can really feel the difference too.

I've made my peace with level 2 at the moment. Still just holding plank instead of jumping about in plank but quite happy to 'phone it in' in this way as I think I'd have given up otherwise.

Feeling nervous about level 3 now. I think it's the explosive movements that worry me as my pelvic floor really can't cope with them. Blush

Have eaten far too much of Lindt 70% today. Will be good tonight. Don't know whether to allow myself a glass of wine as one tends to lead to another and then another ...

Keep going everyone. So impressed by the number of people using such heavy weights. No way I could manage over 1kg.

Wow - that's really good Lindt! Holding planks is hard, honestly I find the plank jacks easier.

No way I could manage over 1kg.
I bet you could - for some moves at least. Just try a few bicep curls holding both your weights in one hand.

(What does it mean when people say their pelvic floor can't handle an exercise?).

Wow Lindt....fantastic cm loss!!!! Well done! And in time you'd be able to manage heavier weights, just build up gradually.
I might start L3 tomorrow or I might chicken out and do 1 more day at L2 Grin

Thanks Errol. I'm quite relieved that it means a bit of incontinence. I wish I hadn't googled images on the rest though.

L2D1 done today for a long and boring reason. Which means I still haven't done L1D10. Should I go back to do that tomorrow, or continue with L2?

You lot had me nervous about L2, but I really enjoyed the change. I didn't struggle too much but my face is as red as a beetroot. It was funny watching my partner try to do the cardio exercises which require slightly more coordination than comes natural to him.

I am also impressed with the heavy weights some are using! Think I have wimped out a bit up to now, so I used my 2kg weights for some of the exercises today when I did L2 (can't remember what day I'm on...). Used them for the pendulum lunge thingys and the lying on the floor holding them up (cheat!)

I actually find L2 ok, I don't mind the planks. It's hard, but keeps me interested

Will be buying some 1.5kg weights this week hopefully

Well done everyone, this thread is so motivating!

Logge - oh, if I was you I'd stick to the L2 just for the entertainment value from your DP.

We tend to laugh a lot as a couple and family, but tonight with three of us doing those gliding skater-type movements was really funny, and me trying to do the lunges and him doing the twisty things... but tomorrow he's away so I'll be shredding solo.

L3D5 done.

I've not shredded for 4 days, DS, DH and DD1 have all had the winter sickness bug and I'm on antibiotics for sinusitis Hmm

I'll try and catch up on everyone's progress.

L2 D8 done, wish I'd taken some measurements pre Shred as today was the 1st day since Xmas break when my work trousers didn't feel like they would cut me in half.
My eating isn't as good as my Shredding ATM, am considering planning a mon-fri meal plan for next week to try and shift some of the blubber under which my newly toned muscles are hiding.

Logg1e, when I say my pelvic floor can't handle it I mean that I wet myself a bit Blush. Not much fun trying to do explosive moves when you're worried about that happening! I'm very envious you needed to ask. Actually, it's making me wonder how common a problem this is. Perhaps I should go to the GP.

ErrolTheDragon I'm addicted to The Archers too but I haven't listened to tonight's. I download the podcast every night and then listen to it as I'm walking the dogs across the fields in the morning (seems appropriate). Will have to search for an Archers thread now, but will have to wait until I've listened to tonight's episode first!

L3D8 done at last!
5 days off but back on it.
Only 2 days to go.
And then I will be attempting (I think) c25k and carrying on shreding too.
If I hate c25k too much I will buy another JM DVD.

Lindt I thought my pelvic floor wasn't too bad but jumping jacks with weights are my weakness on that front!
I really need to regularly do the pf exercises.
I'm hoping it will get better as DS2 is only 5 months.

L2 D9 done and for no apparent reason it was unenjoyable from start to finish. Wonder if I should have had a rest day today. Muscles just felt like they had no power at all.
On a positive note, only 1 more day of L2 left but haven't looked at L3 yet. Am I being naively optimistic? Grin

Well done everyone, it is so motivating reading about people plugging away and seeing changes.

L2D2 yesterday and I'm already thinking I'll miss Sheed when it's over.
