Is anyone doing this/done it?

Done my fit test yesterday and done pretty shite

Done the first circuit today, fooking hell, couldnt even manage half of it! I thought id finished the circuit, was feeling pretty chuffed, then i realised that was just the warm up! Jeez

yeah it's on Pure Cardio & Cardio Abs - have you got that one?

poor you with all your achy bits, have got a few too - mainly back of my right thigh and that hip, is really stiff but on plus side it makes me make time for yoga and stretch everything out

we have nearly done a whole week! You definitely have :) am going to buy this from my friend (for about £30!) it's too stressful worrying about scratching the DVDs and getting splodges on the recipe book etc - maybe I can copy the one you are missing?

I think im going to just start week 2 tomorrow. I really havent got the energy tonight now, so tomorrow we will be on the same day? Or will there still be a days differance?

£30 is a good deal! May aswell buy them if your friend isnt gonna use them. Pure cardio definatley not on any of my dvds, if you could make me a copy that would be great :) i have cardio abs but pure cardio is just not on there, cant find it anywhere.

umm tomorrow is my day 6 I think, I was thinking of skipping and starting week 2 on Monday though because the calendar works that way and I'm easily confused!

someone already wants to have a go at copying the discs so is just one extra for them to do - will let you know how he gets on, if it works I'll post it to you

I'm into Week 2 - I have to match up my days to the days on the calendar or I would totally lose track so I hope you are all starting week 2 today as well!
I have done my Day 8 - cardio power and resistance. Definitely easier than the first time I tried it, but still pretty crap to be honest! I can just about keep up with them on the first circuit but I really don't feel like my speed is anywhere near to theirs once they start speeding up on the second/third circuits. And that thing in the middle where Shaun curls into a ball and does tricep dips - OWCHY! I will be interested to see if I have actually made progress when I re-do the fit test next week.
But on a positive note - I feel EPIC when I have finished my workout. Like I can conquer the world! (once I've got my breath back Grin)

haha I know what you mean, by the end it pushes all the happy buttons in my head and it feels like being on ecstasy aMAYzing

but during it there are quite a few times when I think 'fuck I'm doing one push up to every three of theirs' Blush but it's ok, it's our workout isn't it, we push ourselves as hard as we can be bothered

ok will start week 2 in a minute, cardio power and resistance and if I'm really full of beans I might do the plyo cardio circuit so I don't like I've missed a whole day

there is NO COFFEE Shock so medal for me getting through cardio power and resistance please - berocca is not exactly the same as half a mug of espresso - I was struggling partway through the warm up, when the pace picks up yet so somehow by the end I didn't want it to stop! I like that one.

How are you feeling today vito? have you tried a recovery drink? Some people swear by chocolate milk, doesn't have to be one of those dodgy £overpriced things

am skipping through my Callanetics DVD and what the fuck Shock the leotards and tights! I am that granny at the back with bad hips in the fetching emerald number Grin

once I get over the time travel weirdness of it I'll give it a go

My DVD hasn't arrive yet- am well jel of you and the 80s extravaganza Grin. I have been using a book, and for a bar, depending on where I am in the house I either use the back of dining room chair or edge of bookshelf. I sometimes pause and do some exercises whilst out on daily walk, and in that case I use one of the bars of a 5 bar gate!

Marking place. I'm seriously tempted to try insanity but don't know if I'm, erm, insane enough! Am currently doing xtrain fit which I'm loving and is giving some amazing results 3 months in but another month or so and I'll need to try something else. Would really recommend it as a less insane insanity but still great results if you stick at it.

Confused at the idea of suicide jumps.

Is insanity really impossible?

Im feeling ok today Mitchy havent done my workout yet will do that later, week 2 today! I thought about doing 2 workouts so that i hadnt missed one but i think it would actually kill me.

I had McDonalds for dinner today so need to burn that off Grin

insanity is NOT impossible, i really think anyone could do it if I can. I absolutely love it!

My workout this morning was NOT pretty! I am used to having 2 (or 3, or 4) rest days per week so working out 6 days a week is killing me!!
I took lots of unscheduled water breaks. But I did it. And tomorrow is cardio recovery which is fine because it involves a lot of standing still which I am very good at!

vito, is there any way you can do it in the morning? it might be easier when you're not tired at the other end of the day. This could just be me though. Or if you are really really struggling you could tell yourself you only have to do the warm up - it is much better than not doing anything - but you probably will want to finish the rest but you don't have to. It's still an achievement. Are there any bits in particular you hate? It's better to skip the moves you don't like, they are only in little 30 second bouts? and do the rest than give up on project insanity as a whole! Soon it will be a habit, anyway, especially if it is more or less the same time each day. Although mine will be later tonight argh. Maybe you need a system where you do a deal with yourself, if you at least do the warm up you can have ? whatever treat you fancy? And listen to Shaun he KNOWS, he is always saying REST IF YOU NEED TO. You can do this.

Do you take a vitamin supplement? Wonder if you need a bit more support. I'm eating so much more since starting this. Confused I don't know why an extra 40 minutes a day is such a physical demand but it's intense isn't it!

I suppose the main thing is to make it very different every day so lots of variety and it stays interesting?

Pure cardio DONE. Should have been plyometric but this was my first chance to do pure cardio, it was ok, better than plyo any day of the week Grin can you tell i hate plyometric?

I LOVE plyometric, it's perfect for me, all that leaping about but am not a fan of pure cardio

cardio recovery tomorrow, it's a day off isn't it? Grin

wonder how officelady is and whether notyummy is getting stuck in to her Callanetics

I think my favourite so far is cardio power and resistance, i like pure cardio but had to take a lot of breaks.
