poor you nano, that's tough Sad at least you didn't pay for ww hey. fwiw I'd kill to be at your starting weight...not that that helps you much!!

ww is making the weight drop off of atm (sorry nano Sad ) I've lost another lb or 2 since thurs but will wait to weigh in officially then. I'm amazed, no diet/exercise program has ever worked for me. thank god being hungry all the time is actually making some kind of difference!!

Well done crazy - I am glad it's working for you - gives me some hope! Don't want to give up on it too soon, but will swap to the healthy and filling program for the time being, since I think that may well help with my habit of eating unhealthy snacks which are still within my points. I know it shouldn't matter where the calories come from, but I think it does!

Lost a whole lb again this week ! So nearly at target weight but still very wibbly.

Bought a pedometer yesterday as velcro baby doesn't look like she is going to let me do any other exercise any time soon!

Nano - I was the same while BF - never lost ANY weight until I stopped. My mum said the same too. I would just continue to eat healthily, and then when you do stop BF, the weight should just drop off as you won't have to change your eating habits etc.

Hi Wibblers. I've been well and truly off the wagon throughout February so far, with parties and a wedding weekend (and a 'sod it' attitude which I obviously haven't shaken). I'm back on it today to undo the damage and lose some more - I desperately need to!

I weighed in on Monday and I had lost 1.8 kg (3.96 pounds) My total lost so far = 4.8 kg (10.5 pounds). I am extremely happy. It seem I am managing little amount each week and then last week a bit more and it just makes me hopeful that I can reach my goal weight even if it takes 8 more weeks.

My smallest LO is 13 weeks now and I'm so greatful that breastfeeding is still going well, and that makes me greatful for the small weight losses I am getting each week. It was and has always been important for me not to fuck up the breastfeeding!

I have bought some small dumbells to try and tone up my upper arms - they're flabby atm and means lots of tops are too tight in that area.

Good luck to every one this week.

Oh for goodness sake, I've put back on the feeble half a pound I lost last week. Need to get in the right mindset. I discovered the 17 day diet yesterday, anyone got any experience of it? Think it might help me to be following something 'official' rather than just hoping to eat less...

Well done to everyone who's done well Smile

Thanks, visualise, my sister didn't lose much until about six months, so I guess it's in my genes. In the meantime, I'll just continue with the healthy eating and trying to get in the exercise.

Good luck for this week everyone.

Iheartpasties - WELL DONE!! Sounds like you're doing really good :) Any tips ;)

This last week has been awful - barely out of the house, never mind DVD's. And I just ate a Cadbury's Caramel. And I'm considering eating the other one in the fridge...I'm feeling very low at the moment - There's a job going where we used to live, and OH is pondering over it. I REALLY want him to go for it, I loved living there and think about it every day. We should've never moved away in the first place.

Ooh visualise, i know your position! Dh has, after contemplating it for 9 months, gone for an interview to move jobs internally to London from manc (a move I'm desperate for us to make,) and they've said they like him and want him to start in 6 weeks but haven't yet sent any salary details and unless we know it's worth it money wise Dh won't take it. Am going loopy with the suspense!

11 stone 12 lb - its taken days to have sufficiently empty boobs, bowel, bladder etc in the morning to get weighed. Am well chuffed. Under 12 stone FINALLY!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 13/02/2013 10:45

visualise I would like to get to 10 1/2 stone but. 11 is my first target and will get me back in my work clothes.

pennie love the idea of a disco half hour. I find it difficult to fit exercise in at the weekends when all four kids are at home but the girls would love that!

yw congrats on this thread too! I am weighing in on Fridays so I ave got time to claw back any weekend faux pas!

Xx

Ooow thanks Visualise. No tips really. My dh asked me what I was doing as well and I was embarrassed to reveal 'not a lot' I'm just not eating the amazing amounts if crap that I was before! Bad habits creep up on you. During pregnancy and when the baby was still little I was eating chocolate by the ton, plus coke, plus tons of carbs ie toast, bagels etc and pan au choc's and eating whenever and whatever I wanted!?

I am avoiding bread. And I'm trying to resist carbs with my evening meal. I'm avoiding chocolate. But I'm having the occasional treat when I'm stressed. I'm trying to eat better. I'm very relieved to have shifted some weight, I was not looking great.

Sorry to hear of stress etc with jobs and moves etc my dh is (fingers-crossed) going to be made redundant on Fri. there are lots of jobs in his field so he's not worried about finding something else - so the money will go on CC debt.

This is the thread for me! My pre pregnancy weight was 9 and a half - I'm now 11 and a half and the baby is 8 weeks. He's my 3rd and I've barely shifted a pound this time. Am EBF but it makes little difference to my weight loss - I've cut out all sugary food except a couple of glasses of cava on a Friday. DS3 was 10lb10oz and I fear my stomach was stretched to the point of no return....wondering if it'll have to be a no bread / no carb regime soon. Grim.

Anyone looked at the 5:2 while EBF? I'm not sure it's recommended - and not sure I could even do it - but wondered if anyone done a version of it?

Report
utopian99 · 13/02/2013 17:44

I don't think i could do it - am permanently starving on a normal basis. Just cutting down in general, upping exercise, and swapping toast/bread snacks for carrots/apples/ham. Also find black coffee (decaf) and sugar free polo mints kill cravings quite well.

dye 10lb 10oz?? Shock Shock Shock well done you!!

well the weight watchers magic is still working! I've lost 4lb this week but realised last night I was being unnecessarily careful and had barely used my weekly allowance. will eat more this week Grin but apparently dropping to 11st 1lb is some sort of trigger and I am allowed one less point a day, doh!!

glad I'm doing this now while I'm ebf and before ds2 starts solids - seems to be really working for me. am very proud of myself Grin all the hunger and feelings of deprivation have been worth it! and I'm re-learning what sensible eating looks like, after a few years of gluttony!

Welcome Dye.

Well done Crazypaving, you're doing well.

I have been having a wierd week. I ate a whole load of chocs yesterday. tress induced face stuffing.

pasties, can really empathise with stress eating. I've only stopped doing that because of the accountability of ww points. I've been desperate to cram chocolate in my gob most days.

Well, I was going to weigh myself today but I forgot until after i'd eaten breakfast so I decided to wait until tomorrow instead... In any case I've ordered some digital scales as my old analogue ones really aren't precise enough to show up any tiny amount i may have managed to lose! So I might hang on until they arrive.

I've been eating a bit better the last few days - not gorging myself on cake all the time!

Thank you for welcomes! Thanks

Yes Crazypaving I fear I will never be the same again..... 3 words.... Pelvic. Floor. Exercises.

Does this thread have magic powers? Other than the baby / offal weight I'd lost nothing in 8 weeks. I've now lost a whole two pounds in the last 2 days.

I watched the Myth of Exercise and have banned myself from sitting down except when BF, driving and eating a meal. I'm knackered by about 2pm.

Ahhh, finally I've come to the end of a solid month working every evening and weekend, and I'm ready to get on with this. Sophia and YellowWellies, your starting points were lost similar to mine so you're ny inspiration (and making me Envy). I'm going to have a long soak with a glass of wine and a crappy mag tonight, then tomorrow I'm all guns blazing.

I'm hoping to have time to get into an exercise routine for the first time since DS was born, and am planning this:

Monday: C25k
Tuesday: kettlebells
Wednesday: C25k (with my DM!)
Thursday: Davina DVD or rest, depending how I feel
Friday As Thursday
Saturday: kettlebells
Sunday: yoga DVD

Can't wait. I absolutely love to be fit.

Good luck with the exercise Forkoff.

The only thing I seem to be able to keep to is staying clear of carbs at dinner time. Ah well, it's slowly helping.
