I'm so hungry!!! I've got 16 points left today which will be used up at supper, I've eaten so much fruit and veg I'm worried I'm going to wind up with a serious wind problem Blush and I'm still so hungry! it's nearly 5hrs til supper, help!

crazy - was my first day yesterday. Got half way through and thought 'this is easy', but then got to six, was starving, baby crying, glass of wine took up about half my remaining points, and I changed my mind!
Erm, dunno on food - go for walk? Is a distraction and you earn points to eat? Can you reduce evening meal?

oh no nano I haven't had any alcohol yet but was worried it might be quite pointy! will we have to drink neat gin? Grin so far I have avoided eating anything but am getting hungrier and hungrier. think ds2 is having a growth spurt - usually affects my appetite. I've had a week of feeling hungry - surely my stomach capacity will shrink soon?

Hi ladies, room for a small one? Well, more of a medium-to-large one! I haven't actually weighed myself for ages, and DD2 is asleep in the room that the scales are in (convenient, that...!) but I know I am way over my pre pregnancy weight. I just feel so hungry all the time now that I'm breast feeding and I'm craving the things that really didn't tempt me that much before - cake, fudge, chocolate... Our main meals are fairly healthy, I think my weight loss method will have to be to axe the cakes etc... or some of them at least! And I'm starting a food diary tomorrow.

I appreciate all the carrot endorsing comments above - last week I accidentally ordered 3kg of carrots on my online grocery order (it could happen to anyone!) so I've had a rather carrot-heavy diet recently. Unfortunately that includes a lot of carrot cake. Right, off to munch some carrots.

...I probably should have said DD2 is 20wks.

Welcome monkeys. Yes, always room for another. The attrition rate on this thread has been pretty high, but there are a few if us hanging on in hope.

Hello ladies found you! Marking my place - have struggled to have an empty bladder post BF moment to weigh myself this week. Still walking 10,000+ steps a day (other than weekends when with DH and the car!) and noticing rapid downsizing in the jeans department so fingers crossed!

I am hoping to be relatively good this weekend and get a loss on Monday. Been good today.

Iheartpasties · 08/02/2013 10:14

Not many carbs today, not much snacking, no cola, I'm hopeful this week will see a loss.

yw I hear you on the empty bladder plus big feed - amazing what a difference it makes!

and tiger, I would actually kill someone for Pringles atm.

I am still STARVING. STARVING!!!!! I am tired of being perpetually hungry! what am I doing wrong? I've been doing ww for 8 days now, surely it should be getting easier? I just want to stuff myself with toast and butter and feel full for the first time in over a week. sob.

I'm still struggling on! Have been thinking and I reckon this must be the hardest time in our lives to try to lose weight, because:

knackered from looking after babies all day (& poss other dc)
not enough sleep
limited chance to exercise
limited time to meal plan/get motivated/even think about it
tempting to eat leftovers from dc like weirdo ds1 who hates eating
need food for energy more than ever
need food for comfort more than ever!
breastfeeding means appetite higher/body trying to hold on to fat

  • probably more than I haven't even thought of...

Good luck to all of us!

Sorry that all sounded really negative - on the plus side, we are actually doing it so it can't be impossible Smile

Yes it is a hard time to lose weight. Slowly slowly is the key for me :)

Sorry ladies, it's been a while :)

Been working out, Shred going well. I'm just doing Level 3 every day now. Anyone got any other 20 minute workout DVD's they can recommend?

Also....fancy having a go at that new fangled 5:2 diet. How does it work...do I need to buy the book?

Report
Sophiathesnowfairy · 09/02/2013 06:54

I wondered about the 5:2 but I work best actually eating properly so decided to give it a miss.

Gt myself down into the 11s am so pleased. 11stone 12 on Fri. Grin

Nice one Sophia!! What's your target?

I do fancy giving the 5:2 a go....I've just never done a 'proper' diet like that before. I just stop eating in between meals for a few days, and it never lasts very long before I start snacking again. I think it might help if I had a proper set of rules to follow.

Finally got round to weighing myself yesterday - 74kg. I was 65kg before my last pregnancy, so that is my target, Seems rather daunting.

Well I've had lots of treats this weekend. With a Monday weigh in weekends seem to be my downfall! We ate out for lunch today. I bought some weights today though, I need to tone up my arms they are too flabby for most tops atm.

I'm not sure what our plans for valentines day will be.

I'm in my pre-pregnancy jeans!! woohoo!! never mind my tummy overhang when I forget to suck it in all the time and never mind that there are pre-ds2 jeans rather than pre-ds1 jeans, they aren't maternity jeans!!

is it possible to tone up abdominals satisfactorily ever again or am I doomed to a life of overhang? I can't find my abdominals to check if they're separated or not which is annoying. I didn't have this problem after ds1 which makes me worry that perhaps they are separated?

I'm still hungry all the time but hey, ww works and I still get to have treats Grin

I think (hope!) you can regain abs, with the right targeted excercises.. Weighed in at 10lb 9.5oz before the weekend but have been away with friends for a joint 30th and just totted up calories on mfp (knew i was bad anyway) so expecting to be very lucky tomorrow if i haven't gained overall..

Dm is up again tomorrow so hoping to get some hardcore gym in. Still aching from pramactive on Friday though, could be interesting!

Oh lord, up to 58.3 kg which is almost what I started at. A week of ww hasn't done me any favours. I am definitely one of those people for whom breastfeeding makes the weight stick. Wonder whether its even worth trying to lose weight...
