Just worked out that the 11 lbs I've lost since the New Year works out to about 300g a week! Slow and steady, I say. I feel confident I won't gain it back, it was only pregnancy x 2 that caused it, and I don't feel I'm "on a diet" as such.

Today I'm squeezing my mum bum into a pre-dc pair of jeans, and my mum tum is making a bulge in my pre-dc top but I hardly care, it feels great. I actually feel a lot more like myself in these clothes.

How's everyone else feeling?

Sorry so many "feel"s in that post Grin

I'm still feeling a bit off-wagon-y Sad not getting much sleep atm and craving sugar. slipping back into old habits scarily easily, and being way too lax. haven't gained any weight but this last half stone's a bugger - never lost it after ds1. not sure what it's going to take, really. I'm cheating myself but can't seem to stop. sigh.

isn't the weather an improvement though? hopefully if I start getting more sleep the weather will motivate me!

Hey crazy. Still at least you're only carrying half a stone extra, bet you look really good.
Lack of sleep really affects my food intake and motivation, hopefully won't last much longer. Some friends of mine did CC at 6 months and it worked pretty fast but I'm putting it off for a bit, maybe he'll spontaneously sleep through (I can dream Grin ).
Yes the weather should be a big motivator, I've got lots of summer dresses but don't want to show my calves at the mo. Being a pear shape they're quite chunky when I'm carrying extra weight.
I'm aiming to lose 1lb a week and I haven't been very disciplined so far - ok I've been on the chocolate biscuits! So got a lot of work to do before my weigh-in on Tuesday Sad

Hi to anyone who reads this. Possibly nobody Grin
Who wants to start a shiny new thread, where we state our plans and goals?
I still have 17lbs to lose, I'm going properly low-carb from this morning, and I'm 10 days into the 30 day shred.
I'll start a new thread if anyone's keen.

Hello - could I join please?

DD1 was born in Jan and managed to reach the lofty heights of 100kg around my due date! Went down to 90kg after first week and then no more weight loss despite BF.

Started WW about 6 weeks ago and lost around 4kg so far, but need to keep going! Aiming to get back to pre-pregnancy weight of 80kg by end of June, then will tackle the next 10kg and so on (weigh in kg these days as am too horrified to convert to stones and lbs Blush )

And my tummy has an absolutely shocking wibble

Hi eagleray, of course you can! The more the merrier. Though this thread seems to be dying a death, so shall we start a new one?

I'll have to convert your kgs to stones, so I have an idea of where you are. But I know that before having dcs I used to be just under 50kg, as the treadmill told me. That seems crazy now!

Hi there, I'd like to join too. Dd born in Feb, am at 57kg now and want to get back to 53kg, my post Ds weight.
Managed to get them sleeping at the same time yesterday and did some yoga. My problem is boredom eating through out the day, must stop raiding the fridge & biscuit tin. Has anyone got any tips to stop this? Currently trying to have a mug of tea when this happens which is working a bit.
I also have the tummy wibble, hoping the yoga will help sort this.

Hello skinnychai!

I have exactly the same problem with boredom eating, and the tea/coffee trick is working fairly well. It's still calories (esp as I take sugar Blush ) but fewer than I'd have otherwise.

My tummy is significantly less wibbly after 10 days of the 30 day shread, so I'd recommend that. However, I didn't lose anything from my hip/bum measurement so I gave up (another Blush )

As far as I'm aware the best approach is low-carb, but I just get so tempted by chocolate in particular. Might start weighing myself more often to stay focussed. Wish I could start running again but there's no time at the moment. Will stop rambling now Grin

Yes Projectbabyweight a new thread might be a good idea as that always attracts a flurry of newcomers!

Am v scared at the prospect of having my weight converted to imperial - although I have a terrible feeling I am around 14 stone or similar.

Interesting you are doing the 30 day shred! I started it yesterday, although didn't get v far as DD had a Jumperoo meltdown and my F/G cup boobs are not compatible with starjumps. I now have a giant sports bra though so will have another go later this eve.

Re the boredom eating, normally that's an issue for me, but these days I am just downright bloody starving due to BF! Still got to keep tabs on things as the weight is sticking v stubbornly despite what the books say. My snack treats are currently the mini houmous pots with a bunch of carrot sticks, or a bag of cheesy wotsits!

Congratulations Skinnychai on your baby and at having only 4kg to lose! Envy

Hi Project
Hmm, more regular weigh ins - how often do you weigh in now? I think I'm gonna do every fortnight - don't like to do it too often as have been known to get a bit obsessed. I also measured waist, hips and thighs so will recheck these every 3-4 weeks too, my hips seem to have got massive!

Hi Eagle
Thanks for the congrats and congratulations to you on your baby too! A lot of people say that it's hard to lose too much weight until you stop bf, I stopped a couple of weeks ago and my appetite has definitely decreased but I think the warmer weather is helping too.

Just going to put the kettle on . . . . . .
