Anyone want to join me in a get a bit fitter support thread for the seriously unfit?

When I say seriously unfit,I mean I am one of those people who I dont think has ever got the whole way through a warm up routine on a DVD.

So I am not expecting miracles,but would like it if anyone were to join me to help me and perhaps themselves to start getting a little bit fitter,even if it is only for 1 month.

Personally I am in the process of digging out old DVDs/videos,and about to stick one on,and see what I can cannot do.

Evening everyone.

Not been a great week. I've not been to the gym for two days although I did get the first walk to school this morning as it finally stopped raining. I've not done much else though. Feeling seriously demotivated. :(

You found last Thursday difficult exercise as well,so Thursday may be your worst day of the week,exercise wise.
perhaps do a tiny bit today.
Tomorrow is another day,and you will exercise tomorrow!

I didn't realise that Thursday is my off day. I must keep an eye on that.

I've given up smoking today so I'm hoping to move instead of eat to help the cravings.

Good morning,

Well my fitness is on the up even if my diet is still very quite crap.

I am definitely feeling more energetic this week. I am going to keep on with my daily workouts, pushing myself a bit more each time. I have also increased my kitchen workouts, lunges, lifts, stretches. Very thankful no one can see Blush

Good luck with the giving up smoking TOWTH.

Thought we could do with checking in and updating.
This thread keeps me motivated,so I have no intention of stopping it,unless everyone else leaves me and it!

We have been socialising/visiting etc so a bit of a different week for me.
Done a bit of sport,not saying which one as will slightly out me.
Still doing some of the normal stuff,and also got out the skipping rope.

Would it be a good idea to have a bit of a role call over the coming week to see who is still left and to encourage new recruits?
What does everyone else think?

So yes I am still here and still doing my workouts with the lovely Rosemary Conley. Although I have only managed twice this week due to being busy. But being out does equal more walking so I am hoping it all evens out in the end.

I have a skipping rope somewhere . . .

I have definitely found this thread motivating and encouraging. I don't think I would have persevered for quite so long without other people gently pushing me along.

Well I've done virtually no formal exercise but loads and loads of painting etc.

I was out last night and I'm at a mnet meet up tonight so I really need to get back to the gym this week. I may just end up furniture moving though. :)

Ooooh I like the sound of this thread!

I'm off to the gym in a bit, and am hoping to increase the speed I go on the treadmill for at least part of the hour I'm on the thing (I hate all the other cardio machines so instead of 2 x 30 minute exercises I do 1 hour treadmill per session). Might try breaking it up into 2 30 minute blocks with some weights in between actually.

My fitness is slowly getting better, but I'm not where I want to be by a long shot, my treadmill sessions are usually done at a walk Blush Better than nothing though, I suppose.

Well the DIY is finished for the next few weeks so I'm going back to the gym this week. I'm hoping to get a few classes in before the next room needs decorating. Hmm
