Anyone want to join me in a get a bit fitter support thread for the seriously unfit?

When I say seriously unfit,I mean I am one of those people who I dont think has ever got the whole way through a warm up routine on a DVD.

So I am not expecting miracles,but would like it if anyone were to join me to help me and perhaps themselves to start getting a little bit fitter,even if it is only for 1 month.

Personally I am in the process of digging out old DVDs/videos,and about to stick one on,and see what I can cannot do.

How Are you doing?

Managed 32 laps of the pool this Am - with a hangover!!
Let's hope the scales are kind to me when I weigh in on Wednesday!!
Having a stressfull day - issues with stbxh - so its taking all my willpower not to stuff my face!!!

Really need to attempt something today. Have a poorly toe thanks to DD and the escalator in Tesco so it will have to be the bike as I am limping around the house at the moment.

oi oi ! I'm back - had a weekend of sick child with ear infection and me with food poisoning from a batch of mussels! eurgh!

Right you lot, what's with the fear of gillians michaels?! Anyone doing some lunges/squats/crunches in their front rooms of an evening yet?? Do I have to visit all your homes and give you a pep talk?!!!!

C'MON!!! I want ALL OF YOU to do SOMETHING tomorrow. Anything. Come back and tell me.

I got to the gym today as I am feeling better and had a little run....

I did a few lunges today even though I am not 100% yet.
Dont know what crunches are.Will have to look them up.

oooh well done with the walks ! did you enjoy aqua aerobics? I used to love going to that.

me today - I have a cardio session in the gym called a pyramid. I have to do 6 minutes each on the treadmill, bike and rowers, the 3 minutes of each, then one blow out fast as you can minute. meant to be very good for increasing fitness.

Anyone else going to do something today?

Well I was thinking of something a little more gentle for myself. It is raining here so no bike ride but I am hoping I can wear my trainers and have a little go with one of my exercise dvd's. Don't think I am ready for Jillian yet though.

Okay, I feel my arm being twisted, I will definitely attempt do a dvd. There.

Morning everyone. Been relly busy running my family around this weekend. My brother and family were on their last two days of a three week visit from Australia.

Well the school run has been great. Lots of walking which I really missed over the summer. After advice on here I've been doing squats whenever I have a minute and I have my first aqua aerobics on Thursday. I'm looking forward to it.

I did about half an hour on the wii fit yesterday as well so I feel that I have at least done something. Hope you are all getting on ok.

No never done it. I tried it on holiday and was surprised at how much the resistance of the water makes you work so much harder. I also really enjoyed it and they do say it's easier to stick with when you enjoy it.

Thankfully DD is now sorted, school were very good and I am very pleased/relieved now. Haven't done anything exercise wise apart from school run and some cleaning.

Tomorrow is another day. Hoping my toe feels better so I can wear my shoes properly as I have a job interview. Would be good to attend without the limp.

Today's achievement is not letting the rain put me off walking to school. I would have driven before but I don't want to anymore.

So going in the right direction.

Ooooh well done on the weight loss! Is it food an exercise combined?

Walking is a good idea well done, you have obviously got the bug to do this.

Me today? work work work, eat some biscuits, work, gym, work, home, bed!!

Doing just 40 mins in the gym at lunch today, all strengthening exercises like weights, squats, russian twists (google them they are very ouch!) Made huge mistake of buying a whole pack of malted milk biscuits this morning..am slowly eating the whole pack. Burp.

I have been walking today and will again this afternoon as DS has an appt.

Tomorrow is dvd exercise day.

I am definitely feeling like I need to get fitter which is a good incentive. I am still young and don't want to be a huffy puffy creaky old person yet.
