Oh does the garmin measure elevation too, or do you have a fancier model than me?

Wheelybug · 15/11/2011 16:09

I think so monkey.... Although you've made me doubt myself ! Will have a look on my previous runs ...

Wheelybug · 15/11/2011 16:13

connect.garmin.com/activity/127222674

Yes monkey . Here's an example although not a hilly one !

sfxmum · 15/11/2011 16:19

bonkers be proud Grin

feeling Christmassy, just bought Panto tickets

peach all those measures at once? hope it works, baby pics needed

In answer to rhet I think it is expected that at some point a marathon will feature Hmm

Wheelybug · 15/11/2011 16:23

Panto is top of my to do list too....

fannybanjo · 15/11/2011 16:48

Oh I love panto. I used to take DD1 to the large productions in Liverpool but discovered that the smaller ones in the small towns were far better. Reminded me I need to sort tickets.

hat well done, you are really improving all the time. You keep on those hills.

Moshi I agree with your DH re breast in curry, it needs to be a juicy thigh! However he'll get over it.

peach oh my love, you must be getting fed up. Baby peach will be here before you know it and you'll be running with baby peach on your back just to welly the lot of us.

DD2 becoming quite the little ice princess. She's only had 3 lessons and is doing well. I can see I'm going to become one of those annoying American type Mom's at the ice rink...

Looking forward to my run tomorrow. Big Jim Davidson (ie a super bastard) hill to run up. I'm becoming a sado-masochist runner. The more pain involved the more thrilling the run. Grin

DebiTheScot · 15/11/2011 17:25

Very Envy DrNo of the rugby. We were at the games at Wembley. Are you rugby league fans then? We'll look out for you on the telly.

Dh got home from work early and has taken ds1 to his swimming lesson. Ds2 was desperate to go with him but isn't getting to go into he's eaten his tea. So he's sat and screamed for 10 mins. How exactly will that help?

June2009 · 15/11/2011 17:35

hey debbie how old is ds2? I worry that this type of behaviour carries on for way too long (dd is 2.5 so we get a fair share of that kind of thing, but people keep telling me "they're lovely at this age" so wait, err, you mean it gets worse??? Grin

DrNortherner · 15/11/2011 17:40

debi I am not a rugby league fan no, dh is not a massive fan, but does enjoy watching it, he loves any sport really, and as the final is just up teh road from us it seems like a great night out. Sure it will be a great atmosphere and dh is a fan of Daren Lockyer and I believe it is his final game. Looking forward to it!

monkeyLFDTwench · 15/11/2011 19:10

Oh pants. DH is running late. Sat here in my running gear waiting to get out and then do the Shred.

If my dcs were a bit more considerate I could do the Shred first but apparently Phineas and Ferb is far more important than a punishment session with Jillian and friends Hmm.

And I'm hungry .

fannybanjo · 15/11/2011 20:04

June I can quite imagine the weight training has toned you, lifting heavy weights is brilliant for tone, many women shy away as they think they'll get too "big" but it's not true, a woman isn't designed to get huge muscles without some type of "help" steroids Two of my exes were hugely into weight training and both used to curse at the fact I wasn't as they both wanted to "mould" me into a lean mean machine but I could never get into it. It takes a lot of dedication. Definitely back to circuits in a couple of weeks though, in fact DH there as we speak. It's a hardcore session and he hasn't been for months, he was terrified!

debi you have my sympathies. Kids are a nightmare sometimes. Hope DS ate his tea!

monkey oh no! I hate that, why are men always late when we NEED to run!?

Had a hellish two hours with kids. Sad Would I be unreasonable to ask DH to bring me alcohol in? I can't even attempt to start tea, I'm exhausted.

stickyLFDTfingers · 15/11/2011 20:42

Poor fanny and debi - have a cosmopolitan each on me Wine, Wine.

monkey hope you've got out now!

Ladies, please can we talk sports bras? I am a 34DD. I want no bounce (obviously) and something that doesn't take me an hour to put on. I think I am particularly incompetent, but I get really Angry sitting there trying to do up and failing. But the "twizzle" method doesn't work with a racer back. Confused

Last month I ordered loads of bras from less bounce (remember the sonic boom!) and didn't like any of them. I don't like under wiring on a sports bra, either - I react to the metal through the cloth (also Confused).

What do you use? (especially the more norxious of you!)

fannybanjo · 15/11/2011 20:52

sticky I'm a 34c and not large of chest but wear an M&S one which was only around £16 and doesn't give me the nicest shapes tits in the world but my boobage flaps stay put. Let me know if you want me to link to it.

stickyLFDTfingers · 15/11/2011 20:58

thanks Fanny. My current two are M+S, I've nothing against them. COuldn't find one like the one I like (the other one drives me mental it's so hard to put on!). Could I see yours pls?

fannybanjo · 15/11/2011 21:05

Pic on my profile modelling it lying on S&M bed...

bonkersLFDT20 · 15/11/2011 21:05

Can I talk bras even though I am a off minimal norkage?!

Look at this

I have one and it's lovely. It doesn't just push them under your armpits either.

peachLFDTsmuggler · 15/11/2011 21:06

It has to be a Shock Absorber Sticky, I am smallish, 34C, but I just find the control and comfort amazing. What's the twizzle???

bonkersLFDT20 · 15/11/2011 21:06

[checks that I haven't bloody well sent link of wobbly tits to random unrelated thread]

Phew.

bonkersLFDT20 · 15/11/2011 21:07

Oooh look, me and Peach endorsing Shock Absorber within a minute of each other!

sfxmum · 15/11/2011 21:07

sticky I am the same back number but larger cup and wear the Shock absorber 4 and run they sort of do the job or do the best job so far at least, but aesthetically it is awful.pretty much uni boob I don't think I would consider an under-wired on
Have you tried the Pure Lime compression I keep meaning to as it seems it might do the job.

fannybanjo · 15/11/2011 21:09

here is mine. It does the trick for me without having to spend £££

AngeChica · 15/11/2011 21:11

Have been the Tena LADY, Cockwatch and the thread crash. I needed a Grin!

Have just submitted DS's school admission form .

I am trying to do more treadmill after work, as it's on a rather isolated business park (there are good daylight runs along the Tyne but I wouldn't do it at night). It always makes my head spin a bit though even after doing a proper cool down.

Would love a garmin but will be sensible to see what is in the Jan sales.

stickyLFDTfingers · 15/11/2011 21:13

bonkers if you'd sent a movie of bouncing boobies to another random thread, I would deffo have been reaching for the Tena...:)

Peach the twizzle is the do it up on the front, twist it round to the back again technique. It's ever so sexy. Wouldn't work if you have Bravissimo fitted bra (they wanted to put me in a 32f! Wasn't having that).

AngeChica · 15/11/2011 21:14

I have big tits & hate it. I'm so glad they are shrinking with all the training - after DS they went up to 36F. I often wear 2 bras for running - a shock absorber and a soft non wired bra!

peachLFDTsmuggler · 15/11/2011 21:17

The things you learn on this thread sticky!
