sticky I'm still on level 1 and following Anita Wink. DH preferred Natalie but to his disappointment he couldn't keep up with her ....... so we had a threesome with Anita, slightly spoiled by Jillian shouting at us to keep up Grin.

DrNortherner · 15/11/2011 13:59

O M G. bonkers that is legendery. I am wetting my pants. How funny!!!! Grin

"Here I am again" Fan Fucking Hilarious!!

DrNortherner · 15/11/2011 14:01

Wht the fuck did no one ask what you were doing?!!

stickyLFDTfingers · 15/11/2011 14:06

DrNo perhaps everyone else is used to bonkers' behaviour. She is called bonkers, after all.

monkey that's excellent, I definitely prefer Nat, she's rather lovely.

DebiTheScot · 15/11/2011 14:12

Hilarious bonkers, I can't believe no-one noticed!

I did Shred last night, I'd got to level 2 but went back to 1 when I hadn't done it for months. I hate the skipping one, I get cramp in my calf when I do it. And I can't get my breathing right on the abs ones. Also my abs never hurt afterwards, just my quads usually. And I don't think the one who's meant to do it harder (that sounds bad!) does it any different to Jillian.

Bought 2 2kg hand weights today. Very sensibly they were the first thing I bought/did on my big list of jobs so I had to carry them about for the rest of the morning!

monkeyLFDTwench · 15/11/2011 14:15

Ok all, so I have bitten the bullet and ordered ds1 a Nintendo ds3d for his birthday on Friday - we've said no for a couple of years to anything like this and have started to feel like a bunch of meanies, so we've gone and done it. This does of course mean we will have to get one for ds2 or there will be tears and fights, but for now they'll have to share nicely .

What games are "in" then? I've bought the ds and accessory pack but no games.

MoshiMoshi · 15/11/2011 14:16

You have cheered me up bonkers. Gosh, I love this thread. You are all class, you know that don't you? Long live us crayzee runners. Grin

MoshiMoshi · 15/11/2011 14:17

I went for my run too. Feeling more human now. Smile

monkeyLFDTwench · 15/11/2011 14:18

Debi I found the skipping really hard on my calf muscles until I realised it was because I wasn't wearing my trainers - so now I wear my indoor trainers (oooh get me).

Poor DH - I just emailed him and said "we need to make wills". I got one back saying "in a meeting, but thanks for the cheery thought".

Hatwoman · 15/11/2011 14:22

am I allowed to talk about running? I did the hill just outside the village this morning FIVE times. [pleased] And my pace was quicker than when I did it four times last week. [even more pleased] I'm a bit concerned although that although this looks and feels like doing full on hill reps (for a mere 2.5 miles) its climb rate is actually less than the race in March.

My new long sleeved top was nice too.

futurity · 15/11/2011 14:24

we are looking into sorting out wills at the moment. Did you all do them through solicitors or did anyone sort them out themselves?

monkeyLFDTwench · 15/11/2011 14:26

Always one that spoils the party, eh hat?

That sounds like progress - and plenty of time till March. I'm doing hills tonight too. Then Shred. My arms are achey today, I've already leafblown the lawn and washed the car. Plus cooked tonight's dinner - Thai green curry if that's alright with you lot!

fannybanjo · 15/11/2011 14:30

Hope you've made the paste yourself monkey...?

It takes a lot to make me cry laughing but I am still chuckling at the bonkers mishap. Brilliant. Grin

Ice skating in an hour with 4 kids.... My two eldest have lessons, DD3 persecutes me whilst watching and DD1's friend coming too. I sweep in there with me fur coat on. All the mothers are like HmmHmmHmm but I don't give a fuck cos I'm a ponce!

Right. I want The Shred and I'm refusing to
be stage 1. No Natalie for me, I want Hardcore Hussy.

fannybanjo · 15/11/2011 14:31

In fact, I'm gonna put a photo on my profile later of me with my fur on so you can all laugh. Grin

fannybanjo · 15/11/2011 14:32

Where's rhet today? I bet she's browsing kitchen showrooms chatting shite about Miele and Quooker.

MoshiMoshi · 15/11/2011 14:35

hat - good stuff! Am always pleased to read about your progressions. I reckon that when the race comes, the extra adrenalin will easily fuel you up the steeper hills no problems. Training always feels more effort as well as you are running on your own. That is why training paces are only indicative of what you are capable of in a race.

I noticed I have some chicken that needs cooking today and may do a Thai Red Curry monkey. Thanks for the idea. DH will be up in arms I have used breast for a curry (shock horror) but as he isn't here while I cook it, there isn't much he can do about it. Grin

DrNortherner · 15/11/2011 14:38

fanny is all fur coat and no knickers Grin

I am now troughing my way through leftovers of a working buffet lunch. Bring on the Tempo running this eve.....my period is due and it always makes me ravenous. Anyone else?

I have to vulcan death grip ds after school to sit and practice some spellings. He is behind but sadly could not give a flying toss and would rather stab himself in teh arse with a newly sharpened pencil than do anything that resembles school work whilst at home.

fannybanjo · 15/11/2011 14:41

DrNo no wonder you need to run so much! Must be a nightmare working in a hotel with all the nice food hot business men Oh believe me, after three kids, the Fanny needs drawers.

Anyone notice that the better we become at running, the less we discuss it....?!

DrNortherner · 15/11/2011 14:47

I wonder if they are all the same on the couch to 5k thread!

DrNortherner · 15/11/2011 14:48

In other news dh has got us tickets to the England V Australia final on Saturday at Elland Road Grin

monkeyLFDTwench · 15/11/2011 14:58

Of course I made the paste myself, how hard is it to boil a few fish heads?

fanny you must must must order the Shred. You'd love it! Jillian is definitely Miss Bossy Britches, Natalie and Anita are just the Little Miss Helpers Smile.

DrN have eaten my own weight over the last two days. I blame the Period From Hell.

We have maths homework tonight. Luckily ds1 is better at it than me, I corrected something a few weeks ago and it came back marked wrong - he was right the whole time Blush.

I also have to get him to do his cello for a concert on Friday, they have to play every half term or so in front of the parents. I just sit and hide at the back and pray he gets it vaguely right, while the alpha-mummies sit at the front barking instructions to their offspring ("Thomas! BREATHE! PROJECT!" etc etc).

peachLFDTsmuggler · 15/11/2011 15:28

Hat, that's a great improvement in just a week.Moshi's right, you don't need to do the elevation before the race, same as not having having to do the distance or speed.

Right, someone get me some hot curry/sex/raspberry leaf tea/pineapple.

Maybe will get DP to blow up the yoga ball.

Wheelybug · 15/11/2011 15:51

You need fanny's bed peach !

Monkey - I have just given into a wii which mil is getting the dds for Christmas. Dd1 has a ds but doesn't use it a lot and is also a stereotypical girl (despite my best efforts) so most of what she likes may not suit. But mario karts seems to be enjoyed (by dd as well as dh).

Survived my swim and it felt like things were coming together a bit more. That said I'll go to my lesson tomorrow and be told its all wrong Grin

Tomorrow I am going to be strong and resist costa so 5 miles intervals on treadmill and then swimming lesson.

Wheelybug · 15/11/2011 15:55

Well done on the hills hat. I am considering a hill run on Saturday with garmin to get you all to tell me if the hills are any good. I've thought of 2 that are the steepest round here (one is the hill between Robin hood and Ladderstile - not
Long but quite steep ?? And then another not long but steep one just outside of
Kingston gate(Liverpool rd I think) Probably nothing on you tough northern folk but something better than nought.

rhetorician · 15/11/2011 15:59

am here; busy all day. Talk to you nutters later on
