Great report N4NNY!! Sounds like you enjoyed it and well done re knocking that time off your last 10k. Smile

Good luck bonkers tomorrow! Sending speedy vibes your way.

rhet brilliant photo!! At what stage was that? What a hill!!

N4NNY · 12/11/2011 21:29

rhet I can't seem too find the route either but I am back on my phone now I will share my garmin route with you tomorrow when I've got my laptop on

fannybanjo · 12/11/2011 21:31

Ah fuck - just checked my profile and pics of kids all back on since I changed my name back.

fannybanjo · 12/11/2011 21:34

Oh oh oh oh oh peachy a SHOW...! I tell ya, you'll have had that baby within... 2 to 3 weeks tops! Grin. Seriously though, it won't be long. I had a show with DD1, baby born within 24 hours. Same with DD3 (and it was a tiny show too).

rhetorician · 12/11/2011 21:34

that was at about the 2 mile mark - so there was another 3 miles of up, at similar gradient after that!

fanny I think you can make them all private if you want

peachLFDTsmuggler · 12/11/2011 21:37

Och no Wheely, if she's not up for it, she's not up for it. No harm in waiting for a better time.

Good luck Bonkers!!!

DebiTheScot · 12/11/2011 21:43

50 mins for a 10k with 16 obstacles!!!!! Amazing!

Rhet you're clearly too clever for me. I've never heard the word 'lachrymose' before!

N4nny great report and well done on beating previous time. Mile 6 was pretty fast! Was it your usual parkrun route twice? I think I'd find that hard. My parkrun is 2 laps, wouldn't fancy 4 laps of it.

We went to Peppa Pig World today. It was great! Now sitting each crisps and dip so will have to run tomorrow.

rhetorician · 12/11/2011 21:47

it's a great word, though, isn't it, debi saw your peppa pig world pics on fb - DD would be beside herself with joy :)

Not posted for a few days as heavily involved in organisation of something next weekend, taking over my life at present. Now have 3 teenage boys (in addition to our own 2) staying overnight for DS1's birthday. It's true, they speak in grunts, and drape various limbs over various bits of furniture, while maintaining a horizontal position...

Peach a show how exciting. Any more news? Didn't have a show with either of mine.

Fanny think I read upthread that you were pondering another HM soon. Seems like a good idea, you have banked up the training so no great need to do huge distances beforehand (unless aiming for sub 1.30...?) Always sounds like a bargain to me to do a longish race soon after another (not too soon though)

Debi has your friend had baby yet? (apols if you have already reported this) I also had a friend who was due to be induced 11/11/11, but she actually had the baby today.

N4NNY well done on your 10k.

Am off out early tomorrow for 13 mile (or so) training run in readiness for HM end of Nov. Family round in evening for DS1 birthday meal. All go!

N4NNY · 12/11/2011 21:50

debi the first bit was the parkrun route.

orangeLFDThead · 12/11/2011 21:52

Great report N4NNY and well done on pb.
Fanny er new york or stockport? I think you should stick with stockport Grin

peachLFDTsmuggler · 12/11/2011 21:53

Glad PP world was fun Debi, I think off season is probably best time to go eh? Know someone who went in summer and were queuing for hours for everything!

peachLFDTsmuggler · 12/11/2011 21:55

Yeah fanny, they don't do goody bags in New York!!!

DebiTheScot · 12/11/2011 22:02

We timed it almost perfectly. It was cheaper because some of the rides in the main park were closed, it wasn't too busy (apart from a huge group of Beaver Scouts who made up about 75% of the pepole there) and it was quite mild and dry.

DebiTheScot · 12/11/2011 22:03

oops hit post too soon. Was going to add Rhet it was really well done. Everything is very 'life' like. Shame it's a bit of a trek for you.

orangeLFDThead · 12/11/2011 22:05

Yes good point peach

rhetorician · 12/11/2011 22:06

was hoping it might be near to DD's gps - but they are in Yorks - it's the kind of thing they enjoy doing with her. Sounds good, actually. She knows the characters, although she's never seen the tv programmes.

DebiTheScot · 12/11/2011 22:15

ibby no my friend hasn't had it yet. She's booked in for induction on Tues unless it appears before then.

fannybanjo · 12/11/2011 22:17
orangeLFDThead · 12/11/2011 22:31

I'm sure I can arrange that fanny [goes off to have a word with dh]

backwardpossom · 12/11/2011 22:58

Well done N4NNY!

wheely what book did I recommend? The triathlon one?

Wheelybug · 12/11/2011 22:59

Yes possum - futurity wanted to know for her letter to Santa. Me too !

backwardpossom · 12/11/2011 23:01

It was this one

bonkersLFDT20 · 13/11/2011 07:35

I can't find my number!

It's 481. Can I just make one?

Off to hunt down the recycling.

futurity · 13/11/2011 07:46

Thanks *possom"

Hope your number turns up bonkers
