In one respect I'm torn: booting out BJ now (or soon) is the best hope for the Conservatives to recover enough by the next election (in the same way that Major managed to win unexpectedly after Thatcher) so he is a 5th columnist asset for Labour Grin; on the other hand (even though I want Scotland to secede from the UK Wink), I'm concerned about the continuing and increasing damage that he and his cabal of cronies is doing to both the reputation of the UK on the world stage and to the infrastructure and society of the UK Sad

That thread I mentioned

shortages are now a national crisis

Well...staunch Republican as I am, that skit with Paddington was glorious 🙂

Paddington 2 is the most perfect film 🎥

Rather liked the not so subtle digs at De Pfeffle too 🙂

Hope you've all managed to have a good BH despite the usual weather 🌧

I sincerely hope De Pfeffle is booed whenever he appears publicly in future.

He HATES thinking he's unpopular. His is is that fragile.

ChiswickFlo · 05/06/2022 12:53

His ego rather

Just your regular reminder that Brexshit was never about solving the "little people's" problems, just saving more money for millionaires...

Bizarrely enough, the Express seems to be becoming the paper of Brexshit reality!

pointythings · 05/06/2022 14:57

Project Reality writ large - but the hardcore Leavers will still blame it all on 'the EU being mean to us', sadly.

prettybird · 05/06/2022 22:36

Ongoing negative effects of Brexit. So while, on occasion, the UK might claim greater "growth" than other countries/regions, it's from a lower base Hmm

This country is in such a mess. Maybe why I struggle so much with things like the jubile? £38 per household for what?

Bread/circuses.

Mostly circuses.

And no jam for that bread until tomorrow.

mathanxiety · 06/06/2022 04:57

the Express seems to be becoming the paper of Brexshit reality!

Comments section still full of people incapable of dealing with - at most - more than two variables at a given time. Some are barely capable of holding a single thought together.

It's now confirmed, vote of no confidence tonight.

Lonelycrab · 06/06/2022 14:43

Pmk and thanks everyone

It's now confirmed, vote of no confidence tonight.

I've written to my MP (who was one of the first to send a letter of no confidence...) that I expect him to vote against the PM.

I pointed out the booing and jeering at the PM during the recent Platininum jubilee celebrations would get worse and that his cult of personality is evaporating.

Not enough of them will jump ship, sadly. They still think he's popular. So get writing to your tory MPs!!

I see that Smug (and Dorries?) is claiming that the VONC against BJ is all a disgruntled Remainer plot Hmm

....those well known Remainers, Andrew Bridgen and Steve Baker (off the top of my head) Confused

PMK thank you Flo & all contributors flowers for those still suffering from lack of care.
I am currently in excruciating pain with sciatica drugged up to the eyeballs no sign of my urgent referral to a pain clinic so having to go down the route of trying to access private scan/injection.

Oh I'm so sorry 😞
Sciatica is utterly miserable.
Do you have an osteopath locally?
