So they supported it knowing that it would damage the country.

And people still vote for them...

What’s worse is that people will vote for them again. This time knowing that they are amoral, unprincipled liars who sold out huge swathes of British businesses for either some mythical ‘sovereignty’ or more mendaciously because they want to circumvent EU restrictions on tax etc and grow opportunities for themselves and their mates off a rentier economy.
