I stayed up all night but I know I fell asleep at the crucial moment, I fell asleep but had to wake up about an hour later and go the airport, it was, after the rain so sunny and I woke up to a new dawn a new day , and a new life for me.......and I was feeling, good.

I flew to Amsterdam and I was dazed, catching head lines at the air port, I kept murmuring to myself - we've done it, we've done it and I had to ask Remainer pils to get me papers! They were the first people to pour scron and water over my elation!

Hi guys you forgot Northern Ireland hasn’t left the eu on same terms as rest of UK. So I guess NI doesn’t really count as the UK or you would have been happy for rest of the Uk to stay on terms Ni has. Guess 4 years ago you were all excited about a radically different offer for NI when you voted to leave but forgot to mention it. Also Scotland voted to stay. So happy brexit day for England and Wales!

Also just in case you were wondering about Boris Johnson try Googling his speech on cornflakes... he is no fool - but has complete contempt for 99.9 per cent of people (unless you all went to eton!)

who have done time in Brussels, and seen the institution up close and personal, voted Leave. It is like a quasi religion. There is a dark underbelly to the EU that many are wilfully refusing to see; but there are none so blind as those that will not see.

So, so thrilled that we are out.

Thanks to Brandy for opening the Arms again, and apart from a few zombies, it's been wonderful to be back among the 'faithful' 😀

Yes, *Cross, nutters for FREEDOM! Many have tried, but not even a brand new plopper can dampen our spirits.
Any reason you chose to start a new year in such a negative and miserly way??

Woke up very optimistic about NI moving away from the UK after 100 years. Up to the people of NI and Ireland as to whether they reunite or it it carved out a Freeport like zone for itself.
And watching Westminster squirm as it comes up with reasons not to give Scotland an independence/Secession referendum (until it does what it did over Brexit negotiations and caves in) will be entertaining. Velvet divorce like Czechoslovakia hopefully on the way.
I hope we'll get electoral reform for England and Wales. And I hope we replace the unelected House of Lords with an elected Senate. But those last two are still dreams.
Either way, it's just beginning.
