It's actually quite shocking Belle, they honestly think that way! Thankfully we do live in a democracy, and their wild notions will stay just that, notions.

RedtreesRedtrees · 31/12/2020 09:16

@BelleHathor bless, I know you think you’re sticking one to the establishment and that things will be better now you’ve taken back control. Just try not to be too disappointed!

wherearemychickens · 31/12/2020 09:17

We're increasingly living in an executive democracy rather than a parliamentary democracy. Don't think that's a positive development.

RedtreesRedtrees · 31/12/2020 09:19

Is that where the executive force through legislation without giving parliament a chance to scrutinise it? We seem to have lost control.

wherearemychickens · 31/12/2020 09:21

It is indeed. A day of parliamentary scrutiny for something this big? Makes a mockery of all our votes.

wherearemychickens · 31/12/2020 09:21

And don't get me started on the cronyism.

yellowspanner · 31/12/2020 09:22

I refuse to be drawn. I am happy with my vote, our Govt., the trade deal with the EU and the fact that we have a vaccine.
And I intend to celebrate our new freedoms.

Andante57 · 31/12/2020 09:23

I do not remember seeing anyone called the kind of disgusting name I was called or to be told that they needed to be disinfected

Bellini so calling people ‘racist’, ‘thick as mince’, ‘morons’, etc is not as bad?

bellinisurge · 31/12/2020 09:24

Not as bad as being called vermin that needs to be disinfected, no, it isn't .

Aria11 · 31/12/2020 09:26

Yellowspanner, when you have the vaccine I suggest you use your 'new freedom' to refuse the part made by EU migrants.

LurkingLeaver · 31/12/2020 09:27

I seem to remember one remainer telling us to wipe our chins and calling us 'dribbling morons'. She was eventually banned for her disgusting language.

RedtreesRedtrees · 31/12/2020 09:28

@yellowspanner hello Boris Grin

bellinisurge · 31/12/2020 09:29

@LurkingLeaver which wasn't me. The Arms threads themselves were pulled because of what was said to me.

LurkingLeaver · 31/12/2020 09:30

Well Bellini, to quote you exactly......"Diddums"

bellinisurge · 31/12/2020 09:34

How nice @LurkingLeaver . In your world, calling someone vermin is just fiiiiiiine. Particularly when they are trying to reach out to you.
As I said, I hope you are all the very first to feel the true effects of Brexit.

RedtreesRedtrees · 31/12/2020 09:36

One thing is for sure - Brexit is not ‘done’. Our ongoing relationship with Europe will continue to plague us in the decades to come as the deal is rehashed and renegotiated, expanded and narrowed by successive governments. There will never be an end to this, nor the divisions it has opened. In twenty years time the defining subject at the forefront of Tory politics will still be ‘Europe’

BelleHathor · 31/12/2020 09:39

@LurkingLeaver

I used to have hope that there would be some sort of self reflection and a pivot even in name only. Keir Starmer recognises that it is needed however he will not be allowed to.... Politics 101 you don't win elections by calling people names, they will just wait until they are in the voting box to "reply"....
LurkingLeaver · 31/12/2020 09:40

* advanced victim hood and self pity because no one understands you. - Bellini, on the Brrexiteers wanting to be left alone.

And yet you post incessantly about some slight on a years old thread, that was deleted! Maybe you need to draw a line here Bellini; our existence clearly isnt good for you, and we have never yet been able to satisfy your need for answers.

I'm not going to dedicate my time to pandering to you. Maybe you should stop asking us to fix your issues??

BelleHathor · 31/12/2020 09:41

Redtrees In true honoured fashion, you know everything about nothing.

RedtreesRedtrees · 31/12/2020 09:44

Ah @BelleHathor you’re one of those. Sorry I didn’t realise.

bellinisurge · 31/12/2020 09:56

Maybe one of you charmers should apologise

bellinisurge · 31/12/2020 10:01

Despite the cowardly name changes, I can tell from the posting style it's the same people. Visitors to the Arms might fall for the victim drivel and not realise what you are actually all about

Aria11 · 31/12/2020 10:12

Bellinisurge, you are right. I am new to this and a couple of hours were more than enough to realise what is going on with the posters here. There is nothing more to say but to wish, as you did, to all of them to be the first to experience the effects of Brexit. I look forward to this.

crossstitchingnana · 31/12/2020 10:12

So. We leave the EU tonight at the start of tier 4 lockdown (that's what it feels like) and no party or sign I will be able to see or hug my parents for some months to come. Brexit is just more misery on a pile of shit.

yellowspanner · 31/12/2020 10:14

We are about Brexit, sovereignty, controlling our United Kingdom without interference from Brussels.
And I will continue to celebrate it.
Happy New Year everyone.
Let's hope it becomes Covid controlled if it can't be Covid free. 🥂🎉🎉🎉🎉
