There are peppers here.
Although the supermarket did not feel as full as usual. Felt like things had been spread out more. Possibly my imagination. And the time I went
Also fresh flowers. The stands for these are looking emptier everywhere.

NoWordForFluffy · 08/04/2021 21:28

Apparently we have individual red peppers in our Sainsbury's (I searched for 'peppers', not 'pepper', so it didn't come up before!). I may well go first thing (they're closed now, so should still have stock in the morning). They're also awaiting 3-pack sweet peppers, which is an improvement.

BlackeyedSusan · 09/04/2021 01:33

Sorry about the Bananas. DD has eaten them all. She is beginning to turn yellow. Easter Grin

Icannever · 09/04/2021 10:04

This is very odd, I’ve had peppers delivered every week in my shopping (Scotland). I still have a couple of bags in my freezer as well.
Chicken is my issue, I like free range and it’s never available. Also decent mince, weirdly can only get the cheapest type. I know this sounds a bit snobby but we try and eat less meat to make up for the price difference 😊

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2021 10:22

Are they sweet peppers or green ones? Loads of green here, but the kids don't eat them (and frozen aren't any good for snacking on either).

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2021 11:17

I got peppers! They're from Israel (the M&S ones were from Morocco). Maybe the key to getting more stock is finding new suppliers.

EveLe · 09/04/2021 21:01

I'm jealous of your peppers! I haven't been to a supermarket for awhile, so no idea about stock levels, but they still showing as available on the app, so I"m keeping my fingers crossed they'll arrive this week - and corn! I really miss corn on the cob :(

Thanks for the link @NoWordForFluffy I'll have a look. I've been waiting for next week when non essential shops and garden centres can reopen, hadn't thought to look online.

DC go back to school on Monday, so I might venture out to the local greengrocers in search of peppers and corn if they missing from Sundays delivery.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/04/2021 21:16

We had corn on the cob in Sainsbury's today. I hope you get some!

BlackeyedSusan · 09/04/2021 23:49

corn on the cob have been available on the website when I have looked.. not that I have tried to buy it.

Mamamia456 · 10/04/2021 11:28

Have not had any issues with food deliveries from Tesco, Everything I ordered was in stock including sweetcorn and peppers, Tesco have a multi buy offer on at the moment with sweetcorn so they must have plenty in stock. I am in the south East so could be regional shortages.

Gozogozo · 10/04/2021 11:57

Problems here have been

peppers of all kinds
Lettuce
Tomatoes
Courgettes
Leeks !!!!
Broccoli
Cauliflower
Plums
Bananas

They problems are mainly out of stock, though the few that arrived have been teeny tiny

Ocado seems to have lots of problems, whereas Waitrose have had very few.

NoWordForFluffy · 10/04/2021 18:04

Leeks have been hit and miss, so has broccoli. Bananas haven't been an issue, though lettuce has been erratic.

Where are you vaguely, @Gozogozo?

BlackeyedSusan · 10/04/2021 20:27

Yes caulis have been tiny recently. Not sure whether this is because you get what your given and later deliveries get what is leftover.

NoWordForFluffy · 11/04/2021 09:17

I don't buy caulis in online shopping as I reckon they pick tiny ones on purpose! I wouldn't mind if they sold them per kg rather than each!

EveLe · 11/04/2021 17:21

Woohoo! My peppers came :)

For the first time in months my entire order arrived, not a single substitute! Which means I now have way too much lol.

I’ve gotten so used to 3-4 fresh items missing each order that I’d started ordering more, to ensure I have enough to last the week. So today I have.....

Corn on the Cob, Bananas, 3 different colour peppers, red and white cabbage, cucumbers, tomatoes, grapes, pineapple, mango, raspberries, strawberries, pears, apples, oranges....my fridge is overflowing. It feels like Christmas! Honestly, it’s so lovely. Not since pre Covid have I had this much variety. It’s made me stupidly happy.

NoWordForFluffy · 11/04/2021 18:43

Oh wow! I'm impressed!

BlackeyedSusan · 12/04/2021 00:10

I am having problems adjusting to the amoutn to order when asda were so crap. I have not got my head round morrisons ordering, many months on.

BlackeyedSusan · 12/04/2021 00:29

morrisons own rice sachets are back in stock at morrisons.

Ladybookreader · 12/04/2021 00:53

No problem with peppers in ireland but noticed low on juices and certain teabags/coffee, soft fruit moulding very fast and meat going up in price weekly it seems

Gozogozo · 12/04/2021 15:16

South London

NoWordForFluffy · 12/04/2021 17:58

It's very odd how it's pockets in regions, not just full regions, affected.

I've got red peppers and mixed peppers on my order for tomorrow. Time will tell if they appear or not, mind you!

BlackeyedSusan · 16/04/2021 23:29

I got peppers this time. Ordered another salad box from the local company.

NoWordForFluffy · 17/04/2021 06:58

Peppers seem to be recovering, stock-wise. I need to go to Aldi later so I'll see how their stock levels are doing. There's still a diet lemonade issue; that's an odd one.

Scarletunderkill · 21/04/2021 10:52

Is anyone keeping an eye on the ratification at the end of the month, just in case it isn’t signed and we go out on WTO?

NoWordForFluffy · 21/04/2021 11:40

Not overly! Do we think that's likely?
