raisins. morrisons have been out of stock for ages. we have loads, rather we had loads. I would like to get back to the we have loads level of raisins as they are important for dd's limited diet and I bloody love them.

NoWordForFluffy · 18/03/2021 08:01

Sainsbury's didn't have their own brand sultanas for ages. And they only have 500g bags of currants and raisins. Dried fruit crisis, clearly.

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 18/03/2021 22:58

Tesco were short of raisins today too, I needed to stock up after making carrot cake the other day but couldn't get more than two bags! At this rate I'll be raiding DS2's stash of Peppa Pig raisin boxes Confused

BlackeyedSusan · 20/03/2021 10:07

I haven't been able to get any bags at Morrisons for weeks.

BlackeyedSusan · 20/03/2021 10:07

(of raisins or sultanas)

Or Buy Wholefood Online isn't too bad. Dearer than the supermarket, but the dried fruit is really high quality. We get the dried apricots and cranberries.

BlackeyedSusan · 26/03/2021 00:18

I was thinking about it yesterday, the buying a stash thing for a month or so and how we hadn't needed it yet, but, I have needed it, eg the raisins. as random things have been out of stock for a while. so the stash is doing its job, just not all of it is getting used, but it was there for the things that did go out of stock.

NoWordForFluffy · 26/03/2021 06:36

We've just cracked open the Brexit bog roll! 🎉😂

Our kidney beans are what gets used most, as Sainsbury's seemingly don't sell the 30p ones online. I buy a load when I go into the shop to top the stash up.

Peppers still seem to be problematic round here. I was expecting it before now, to be honest.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/03/2021 13:13

Sainsbury's and Aldi are really struggling with red / orange / yellow peppers round here. Are others finding the same?

Br1ll1ant · 27/03/2021 13:15

Our yellow peppers from Asda are generally still a bit green, but are being delivered each week.

NoWordForFluffy · 27/03/2021 16:37

I'd rather have that than the no stock situation here!

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 27/03/2021 21:27

Peppers seem ok here but bananas are running out quickly. Or maybe it's just because we eat a lot of bananas in our house that I notice it more Hmm

I really need to go through all my food stocks and organise it again properly, donate a few bits to the foodbank. Not likely to happen over the Easter hols though with two lively DC to look after...

indignatio · 28/03/2021 06:01

Peppers fine here, but no GG salad crisp sweetcorn for over a year. I was so excited when I found some on Amazon, and it has a 2024 BB date.

indignatio · 28/03/2021 06:02

No little gem available though for tomorrow's delivery

NoWordForFluffy · 28/03/2021 07:02

I think I'm going to need a parcel of peppers sending up! 🤣🤣

Can't help on the sweetcorn, however.

Dontlickthetrolley · 28/03/2021 13:37

Plenty of peppers down here Fluffy Grin

NoWordForFluffy · 28/03/2021 13:51

I'm not down for ages either, Dontlick! I'll have to get mum to send a box up. 😂😂

ClaraTheImpossibleGirl · 28/03/2021 22:49

@NoWordForFluffy you've reminded me that when I visit my DM I stock up on the local cheese. I haven't been able to go for almost two years now. I miss that cheese Sad (I mean I miss my DM too, but now you've reminded me of the cheese, that's what I'm thinking about more...!)

NoWordForFluffy · 28/03/2021 23:00

Well, if I had to choose my mum or cheese, I'd be plunged into a massive moral dilemma I'd choose the cheese!

BlackForestCake · 29/03/2021 13:28

I got a three pack of peppers from the Co-op and they were all red rather than the usual one red, one yellow, one green.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/03/2021 13:53

I'd be happy with that. The kids don't eat green ones!

BlackeyedSusan · 29/03/2021 16:25

anyone anything for head meets desk pain?

ventured into the supermarket and forgot to check for raisins... which was one of the reasons I fecking went!

there seems to be a couple of kilos in the stash though, but ffs.

there did seem to be lots of peppers. not the greatest quality (not consistent colour, and small) but peppers. (sorry)

oh and apparently my many boxes of cereal are arriving tonight.

NoWordForFluffy · 29/03/2021 18:55

Oh, I do that all of the time...I turn into a goldfish at the door of the shop!

M&S had peppers at the weekend, so I'm wondering if it's selected shops with the issue. 🤔🤔
