As ever, all are welcome - only one rule:

DON'T BE A TWAT!!

Note: I am a shit host, and not a patch on previous Landladies - I don't cook, I don't clean & I don't prepare drinks. I am a selfish bellend. If you want feeding, there's a microwave in back & a shop down the road. If you want drinks just help yourself 😘 - it's a free bar 🎉🥳🎈

Am I the only one disappointed to see that “bantz”?

I do see your point, Autumn, but he's had years of this and so he did what anyone would be tempted to do in the same situation. That's exactly why tough no-nonsense Northerners (like Mr Lily) would be happy to have a pint with Old Etonian Boris. They are so sick of Shouty Young Activists screaming vitriol at them that they feel as though Boris is speaking for them when he has those unguarded moments. He connects in a way that Jeremy never could. That's the conundrum that foxes the Momentum lot currently engaged in shrieking at the country (as per Hulagirl's post). They just don't understand.

SingingLily · 15/12/2019 10:46

Pumper, chuck, did you not read my last post?

By all means drop in again when you have something new and original to say.

Sigh. It must be like Groundhog Day every day in your house.

Limer · 15/12/2019 10:47

Hear, hear, "Hooray for Brexit!"

Just watching the Midlands edition of Sunday Politics, very clearly laid out how Labour have completely lost touch with their historic heartlands. Put simply, people realise that there's no such thing as a free lunch.

shartsi · 15/12/2019 10:51

Any pictures of Gina Miller anywhere?

nopenotplaying · 15/12/2019 10:52

I watched love actually last night in Boris' honour. Now we saw his version of the doorway scene during the campaign...I so want a follow up with the prime minister/Hugh grant dancing scene 😂 I can't help but think this actually happened on Thursday night....

AutumnRose1 · 15/12/2019 10:54

Lily sorry, I meant the Red on Red bantz on Twitter with Ayesha and Ash.

RaiseaGlasstoFreedom · 15/12/2019 10:55

Great pic again from telegraph.

I'm going to indulge myself and buy some Sunday papers today.

SingingLily · 15/12/2019 10:56

Morning, Limer, ☕️ for you. As a Northerner to a Midlander, I'm delighted with the result.

Here's an interesting article from someone who was an advisor to a Labour MP, who clearly isn't fond of either Boris or the Conservatives, but nevertheless gets it. I include the link for the benefit of Pumper and anyone else with just one tired old argument and a big megaphone, but as the author himself points out, it won't make for comfortable reading.

Oops, sorry, Autumn, totally misunderstood. BlushSmile

DustyDiamond · 15/12/2019 10:57

That would be trolly as fuck, but yeah... 😳😂😂😂

Singing that's why Farage did so well too.

Not cold, patronising corbyn or any of them speaking down to people. Telling them... Always telling them something.

SingingLily · 15/12/2019 10:58

Any pictures of Gina Miller anywhere?

No, Shartsi, she's on her usual perch - high up, in a safe place, nine miles away. Grin

nopenotplaying · 15/12/2019 11:03

Think I'm going to send an email op see if he'll do it GrinGrinGrinGrin

SingingLily · 15/12/2019 11:03

that's why Farage did so well too.

Exactly so, Raise. He came over as someone you could have a pint and a natter with.

Can anyone here imagine doing that with Jezza? John McDonnell? Emily Thornberry? Head Girl Jo?

I'm keeping my eye on Kemi Badenoch, Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss. I reckon they'd enjoy a drink and a laugh. As for Ruth Davidson, she'd be a hoot.

DustyDiamond · 15/12/2019 11:04

My eyes never stray far from handsome Dom tbh

He doesn't need to say much, just sit there & look pretty 😉

RaiseaGlass best part of the whole thing was I could treat myself to the Saturday Times yesterday. I had to stop buying it while it was so full of Remoany nonsense - going to take me ages to get back up to scratch on my puzzles though.

DD3 and DH are squabbling while glitterballing the tree so it may be a while before we get to Strictly, then there's my killer sudoku to finish, and the post waffle kitchen to sort, so my HW is ending up way way down the list. Grin

DustyDiamond · 15/12/2019 11:05

Maybe knock up a couple of straight shelves as well 💪😘

OP posts:
SingingLily · 15/12/2019 11:06

Dusty, he's got a black belt in karate. I'm fairly sure he could chop up some shelves from an old tree trunk with his bare hands if you asked him to.

DustyDiamond · 15/12/2019 11:07

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 15/12/2019 11:07

Nope! That’s a Fucking amazing idea 💡

Are you watching Dmitri

Part 2... #wewonActually

Get it done! 😂

Limer · 15/12/2019 11:10

Thanks Lily that's a very incisive article! Speaks the truth with no punches pulled. Question is, can Labour get rid of the far-left and rebuild themselves? I'm not sure they can.

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 15/12/2019 11:12

And, did we change the rules on under 18’s at the bar? There seem to be some naughty underagers attempting to buy drinks?

Can’t blame them for wanting to be part of the zeitgeist though I guess. 😉

EpicShitDippedBatBiscuit · 15/12/2019 11:14

“Caroline Flint has just said that Emily Thornberry "told me Thank God her constituents weren't as stupid as mine [for voting for Boris and Brexit]". 😱😱😱”

What an utter tit. She just can’t help herself can she? And she wonders why this happened...

howabout · 15/12/2019 11:15

When the exit poll came out whole of BBC Scotland was looking forward to Struth swimming naked in Loch Ness. I reckon she actually would have if Nippy had managed the magic 50.

Top Tea Brew on Head Girl Jo. Her constituency (East D) and East Ren are demographically very similar. In East Ren disaffected Tory Remainers voted LibDem (not SNP as I had thought) but in East D LibDem Remainers disliked her personally SO much that she actually LOST votes even though overall turnout in her constituency went up.

The paradox is that even anti-Indy Scots like me actually like and respect Nippy - we just wish she would stop banging on about Freedom and the EU. Grin
