The closing date for registration is this Tuesday

The weekend has seen the leaders question time debates.

Johnson failed to answer a question and the BBC edited later edited footage to change laughter at him to applause.

Swinson continues to prove that the Lib Dem campaign planners don't understand the electorate. They based the campaign around her and the more the public see her and the more she opens her gob she proves she's the witless headgirl who really knows fuck all.

Corbyn has now adopted a neutral 2nd referendum position. Far too late.

Jo Johnson apparently said that a good election manifesto is one people aren’t talking about 48 hrs later, and it seems that the Conservatives really have gone for that strategy.

Johnson had promised a manifesto for change yet of the three main parties it seems far from that. It avoids controversy for the most part, but also doesn't offer solutions to some of our biggest problems like social care. But with the Tories so ahead in the polls, the status quo and making sure they don't have a repeat of the 'dementia tax' car crash seems to be the order of the day. Because Brexit is going to going to provide a magic solution instead...

Meanwhile the Labour Party have gone completely the other way and really have gone for it and come up with ideas. With a mixed response from the public and press.

And I still can't tell you what is in the LD one, cos Prince Andrew...

This week should see the election come into focus as postal voting starts. As it stands its hard to bet on anything but a Tory majority.

From the party that brought you the pig fucker - we give you the sheep shagger. This sort of thing may be oh so hilarious in your circles. However Boris actually meeting farmers plays well amongst us farmers.
I realise we are very unimportant to you.
Having said all that I don't know why they let him loose on a sheep with sheep shears just when it was about to be shown.

Alsohuman · 25/11/2019 13:25

Aren’t sheep normally shorn in the spring? It seems a perverse thing to do at the start of the coldest months.

derxa · 25/11/2019 13:30

It's being trimmed for a show. Sheep are shorn in early summer down to the bare wool.

Peregrina · 25/11/2019 13:40

for a show.

As is Boris Johnson's attendance. What evidence is that that he cares about Welsh farmers?

YouGov are releasing their 2019 election MRP model at 10pm on Wednesday - this is the one which rightly predicted a hung Parliament in 2017 despite Tories being miles ahead in the polls.

Not sure of everybody's views on this but I thought worth flagging.

BercowsFestiveFlamingo · 25/11/2019 13:50

Where's the evidence he cares about anyone or anything except himself, his ego, and the tories he's friends with?

derxa · 25/11/2019 13:56

What evidence is that that he cares about Welsh farmers? If he gets a deal which means they can continue to export lamb without a 40% tariff then they'll cheer him to the rafters. They know that Jeremy Corbyn's labour don't give a shit about business.
Of course if the Remain vote had won then we wouldn't have had all of this. I'm not a Boris fan but the Welsh are 'sheep shaggers' is lazy comedy and borderline racist.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 25/11/2019 13:57

However Boris actually meeting farmers plays well amongst us farmers.

Lets see how well it works for you farmers after Johnsons FTA with the US and lowering of food standards bringing in low cost items from the states, I'll look forward to hear you singing his praises after you loose your livelihood to his ego

Icantreachthepretzels · 25/11/2019 13:57

um - the sheep shagger comment wasn't about the welsh. It was about the twat at the unfortunate angle Hmm

JustAnotherPoster00 · 25/11/2019 13:58

Welsh are 'sheep shaggers' is lazy comedy and borderline racist.

I'm Welsh the trope has never bothered me, and Johnson isnt Welsh, he's a haliwr saesneg

Alsohuman · 25/11/2019 14:00

They know that Jeremy Corbyn's labour don't give a shit about business

Wasn’t it Johnson who said “Fuck business”? Or have I misremembered that?

derxa · 25/11/2019 14:01

I'll look forward to hear you singing his praises after you loose your livelihood to his ego I don't sing his praises. He's an egotistical twat.
And it's 'lose' not 'loose'

Caught in the act! How ‘hot mic’ exposed would-be MP’s fake news ruse

A trip to Ashfield in Nottinghamshire to meet controversial Conservative candidate Lee Anderson takes a bizarre turn when Michael Crick exposes a fake-news ruse – thanks to a switched-on microphone.

PMK, thanks as ever Red & all contributors.
Squid I’m so sorry that you are having such an awful time, but from the bottom of my heart I salute you & all your colleagues💐🍫
Also Jux I hope you are ok💐 I’m another one who relies on the NHS to stay alive, I have cardiomyopathy & used to get six monthly echocardiograms which are now yearly & haven’t seen or heard from my cardio nurse for nearly a year which is a bit worrying, I do have excellent care from my consultant, who is amazing & a very caring & my hospital does have state of the art facilities so I very much count my blessings.

Bercows I wouldn't go so far as that. I don't think he cares about the Tories he's friends with either.

FadingStar · 25/11/2019 14:35

Just been reading the conservative voter thread, hoping that some of the Tories there might persuade me it won't be a complete unmitigated disaster if Johnson and his shower of bastards get in.

Sadly, they are just repeating they are scared of Corbyn and the Tories are the least worse option. No fucks given about the peace process or the rise in food banks or the demise of the NHS.

mybrainhurtsalot · 25/11/2019 14:38

Derxa, “If he gets a deal which means they can continue to export lamb without a 40% tariff then they'll cheer him to the rafters”

If we leave under Boris Johnson’s Withdrawal Agreement on 31st Jan, presumably that solves the 40% tariff problem until the end of 2020. If no trade deal is secured by the end of 2020 the transition ends (if the government stick to their pledge not to extend) and we are in no deal/40% tariff territory again. Is that correct or is the situation better than that?

I know you can’t stand Corbyn but the option of a soft Brexit or remain would be a far better option for farmers, wouldn’t it?

www.fwi.co.uk/news/farm-policy/labour-party-manifesto-20-key-pledges-for-farmers

www.fwi.co.uk/news/farm-policy/tory-manifesto-seeks-free-trade-and-better-environment

Rather worryingly at the bottom on the Conservative article it says they aim to have free trade agreements in place within three years with US, New Zealand, Japan and Australia, but no mention of EU.

ffauxlivia · 25/11/2019 14:38

Oh come on, I posted the pic and I'm Welsh and currently live in a (marginal) English farming constituency. I care about both deeply.

We obviously weren't laughing at the welsh or farmers. Things are miserable at the moment and if we can't laugh at BJ looking a bit ridiculous then what's the point??

(yes the term sheep-shagging is also offensive to me if I were called that, but I knew the spirit the comment was meant in and didn't take offence at all)
