Thanks too epic, although I’d prefer the 🥂to the 🍺 😂

DustyDiamond · 27/10/2019 16:57

👀
She's here.....!

DustyDiamond · 27/10/2019 16:58

I just can’t be doing with this ‘blame’ mentality

We are where we are and we need to deal with that

We all need to accept what is and isn’t possible in reality and move on from there.

Yep!
So much this.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 27/10/2019 16:58

Maybe Corbyn would dismantle our whole nuclear deterrent.
Maybe he wouldn't push the big red button deliberately.
But maybe he would misunderstand an instruction from John McDonnell to 'send then back home'.

Corbyn: "Oh, so I just point them at America and press the big red button. Opps!"

DustyDiamond · 27/10/2019 17:00

It’s come to something when I’ve got more in common with Leavers on these threads than Remainers

We might be twats, but we're your twats 😂

Away from Brexit there's loads we'd all have in common, & equally loads that we'd all disagree on Smile

Bearbehind · 27/10/2019 17:02

I do think that’s true dusty 😆

Epicwaffle · 27/10/2019 17:05

“Thanks too epic, although I’d prefer the 🥂to the 🍺 😂”

Haha, yeah, fair do’s, fizz next time then! 😂

And I am loving the ‘twats’ analogy dusty! 😂

DustyDiamond · 27/10/2019 17:06

I cannot stomach Corbyn at all Walking

I detest the man!

Walkingdeadfangirl · 27/10/2019 17:08

Anyone think if the LibDem bill to have an election 3 days before the Conservative GE would pass unamended.

Or would it really get amended to hell with all sorts of Brexit wrecking crap?

Bearbehind · 27/10/2019 17:09

That’s something we can definitely agree on dusty

I genuinely can’t comprehend why anyone supports him

If you’re a labour supporter I don’t understand why you can’t see he is the very reason your party will never win a GE

Anyone who detests the Tories should be looking for ways to get their party to beat them and supporting Corbyn is achieving the complete opposite as it’s handing the GE to the Tories

Epicwaffle · 27/10/2019 17:14

Under corbyn, it’s entirely possible that trump would take aim at us first. 😱Grin I mean hey, trump’s a colossal dick, but I am saying that as an insignificant member of the public on a parenting forum fgs, Corbyn is supposed to be a statesman, and the way he derides Trump in public and in parliament, doesn’t exactly foster the potential for ongoing diplomatic relations with our closest historical ally and western economic superpower neighbour does it?. Confused
There’s an enormous difference between acceptable diplomatic criticism and general derision.

Yet another reason why Corbyn is a total joke imho.

DustyDiamond · 27/10/2019 17:16

Who knows Walking 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'm sure they'll try something...

Blair (another person I hate) is touting the idea of a law to legislate for a specific end-state after transition period 🙄

I genuinely can’t comprehend why anyone supports him

#NotACult ..... apparently......

“I genuinely can’t comprehend why anyone supports him”

Agreed! Although it does hearten me a little to see, that the public consensus seems to be more 🎶 Nooooo Jeremy Corbyn 🎶 these days, than the other way around! Grin

I’m with dusty, I’m more than a little concerned that we could end up with an accidental corbyn government due to split tory votes with the BXP.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 27/10/2019 17:21

Doesn't Alastair Campbell and Tony Blair run the revoke People's vote movement?

Epicwaffle · 27/10/2019 17:22

“Blair (another person I hate) is touting the idea of a law to legislate for a specific end-state after transition period 🙄”

God, why can’t this war mongering narcissist just crawl right back under his slimy rock.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 27/10/2019 17:23

Does anyone know any Brexiteers that want to sell off our hospitals and doctors to Trump? I keep hearing Corbyn saying this but I have never heard anyone actually suggest we do it.
I cant even imagine a UK Parliament that would allow it!

Walkingdeadfangirl · 27/10/2019 17:25

Dusty, nice picture of Corbyn 👼👼👼

Epicwaffle · 27/10/2019 17:28

Fuck no! First it would have to get through the HOC, then the public would crucify them at the following GE. If they somehow pulled it off (whoever it is that supposedly wants this) then they would be a politically doomed party for a generation imho. It’s a lose lose option.

Epicwaffle · 27/10/2019 17:33

I believe that we should seperate NI contributions from NHS contributions, and pay a specific named NHS tax so that people know exactly what they are getting for their money, along with the very specific monthly reminder that it’s not a just a magical free service to be abused because you stubbed your toe and farted about like a twat about it in A&E.

DustyDiamond · 27/10/2019 17:35

Some dickhead Labour councillor tweeted yesterday about the rugby supporters chanting "oh jeremy Corbyn". Twat. 🙄
(Was Maro Itoje obvs)

There was an article I read earlier on about splits in the people's vote thing Walking - will see if I've still got the page open...

Blair, Campbell, Corbyn & his crew infuriate next!!

Epicwaffle · 27/10/2019 17:43

On the article note, I couldn’t read that Times article sadly Dusty, the text was just a little small for me!

Epicwaffle · 27/10/2019 17:56

Interesting guardian article. I feel this arrogant statement may speak volumes about the problems they face.

“the people claiming to want to stop Brexit may end up being the ones who let it happen”.”

“Let it happen”? They don’t hold this power, nor should they. The vote was cast, the result was leave and leave should always be the end result. Frankly, the let it happen comment ( a freudian slip imo) blows the whole ‘supposed’ ‘peoples vote’ argument wide open. This shows that the goal of the new vote is to remain, regardless of the result. We know that here anyway, hence why we don’t want it. But in one fell swoop, he has just proved how disingenuous the whole concept is. No wonder they are falling out over it all. Confused

DustyDiamond · 27/10/2019 17:56

It's annoying Epic - the resolution is pretty good in my photos but it posted here all blurry 😠

I was basically saying that the politicians (Swinson, Umunna etc) were all parroting the 'economy will shrink by 6% under BJ's deal' without being challenged on it, but what was actually forecast was 6% smaller than it would have been if we'd remained, after 15 years.

Given that the forecast assumed annual growth rate of 1.5% over that 15 years, what it actually was saying was that the economy would be 18% bigger rather than 24%

So not a recession at all 🤷🏻‍♀️

It says that current per capita GDP is £31,000, after 15 years it would be £33,500 rather than £35,500 if we remained

Then at the end it reiterates that Brexit was always about more than just the economy & that leavers have "long since stopped listening" anyway

Epicwaffle · 27/10/2019 17:58

Actually. I take it back about freudian slip. It’s right there in plain arrogant sight isn’t it?
