I've had a look at all the momentum vids now Walking - they're def very good at that sort of thing

The crappy horn one is a newish type of SM thing - they're deliberately made to be shit so that people share them to mock them.

The thinking is that they're reaching an audience they wouldn't typically reach. So when (for eg) a Tory type shares it, other people in their social media bubble might get swayed or look further (whereas they usually wouldn't have seen it otherwise)

Yeah Epicwaffle it is actually hard to watch some of this stuff. Maybe trigger warnings at the start? I hear University students studying Literature are given trigger warnings before reading The Grimm Brothers Fairy Tales. 🥱

Anyone watch Andrew Neil’s show on BBC2 tonight? Rather exposed some of Jo Swinson’s claims about the impact of Brexit.

Momentum were fined regarding the 2017 election for not registering with electoral commission after exceeding 20k in fundraising. They haven’t registered again for this election and are on twitter trying to raise 50k. Not an upstanding outfit by any means.

So now Twitter has banned political advertising, what will actually change? They cant stop people posting political videos, memes, gifs etc. So political parties will still get 'individuals' to post political 'adverts'. Twitter just wont get paid for them. Whats the point?
