Which is the raison d'être of Brexit

your Brexit. Other Brexits are available Grin

DustyDiamond · 25/10/2019 15:15

'Take back control: of money, laws, border, waters & trade'

Maybe you didn't understand that very simple message Steve, but that's not my problem 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yeah...the message lost me at 'Take back'. Wink

Are those the borders that we will have to erect somewhere either in the Irish Sea or between NI and ROI? The borders that are the most contentious issue with brexit for anyone who cares about the GFA? I imagine people with redirect via the ROI to NI and then into the rUK. Or via Dublin into wales.

This is like the episode of friends, where they all go in to central perk, expecting to find their usual seats, only to find a load of random people already sat there that are not them.

BercowsFlyingFlamingo · 25/10/2019 15:51

How will the border situation work? How will post brexit control look compared to now?

I see the bitter is still flowing and lots of holes in the thread. Anyone would think that the regulars are not interested in any discussion or can't keep a civil tongue in their heads. Surely the pub is open to all? Or is it just for a select few? It's good to get differing views but it's not possible here if posters are just ignored and laughed at. It's the Bully Arms.

Epicwaffle · 25/10/2019 15:59

Landlady! The bitter pump’s gone again! Shock

BercowsFlyingFlamingo · 25/10/2019 16:18

I've started my own thread about the border as then there might be a chance of replies Hmm I'm genuinely interested and all remainers get here is laughed at or ignored. Although even a glitter all is a childish response.

From Boris’s Twitter - @BorisJohnson says a "great" #Brexit deal is on the table and it's now up to @jeremycorbyn to decide whether he wants to "get the deal done or not".

The PM adds that a Brexit delay will be given, if Labour agree to a general election.

Boris - it’s not a great deal, we already have that. The reason it isn’t already in legislation is because it’s so poor and you are going to be challenged on it and amendments voted on. The Brexit delay, to correctly discuss ( you need to get your answers right on the documents needed for items going in and out of NI) is nothing to do with the general election!

DustyDiamond · 25/10/2019 16:43

😂😂😂

Research has shown that Brexiters are a happy bunch, who use smileys a lot & wine emojis

Remainers however, are more prone to swear words

Further research is required before conclusions can be drawn, however preliminary results indicate a more ill tempered vibe amongst the sweary crowd.

Everyone of all persuasions have always been welcome in these threads if they are genuine & trying to engage in good faith.

We have had punters who voted remain but are prepared to accept Brexit so long as no-deal is avoided at all costs, remainers who are still anti-Brexit, 2nd ref advocates, hard 'no-deal' brexiters & 'BJ deal' brexiters.

Everyone is welcome here 🍷

I think a simple rule of thumb though, is that if you are abusive, disingenuous, or shitposting, there will be pushback from other posters. That includes chatting shit on other threads about us & then coming here & expecting us to indulge you 🤷🏻‍♀️

That said, I'm not the thread 👮‍♀️ - so do what the fuck you want!!!

I do too 😳

I'm terrible in real life 😳

I can barely get through a sentence irl without the odd bit of colour.
However I almost never write them down.
Also love a good euphemism Grin Grin
