Yawn. Deal with the reality @Walkingdeadfangirl . Plenty of people who voted Remain are able to accept Leave (just like you always wanted) but don't want No Deal.

Bearbehind · 15/09/2019 18:25

To be fair I actually agree with walking on that

Whether you agree with them or not, the Tories and LDs have pinned their colours to the mast

Labour is pissing around with β€˜we don’t want no deal but we’ve no idea what deal we do want’ and even then they don’t appear to be accounting for what is actually possible anyway.

Which is no good for the country right now - we’ve been there with the Tories for several years already.

Unless Labour, and crucially JC come out of their conference with a clear and achievable message, they’re irrelevant.

Septembersunrays · 15/09/2019 18:33

Smash it like hulk leave Grin

It's all just incredible. Be cool like fonzy, smash it like hulk.. What next? Offers junker can't refuse left in his bed πŸ˜‚.

It's hopeless. Lib dem just brexit remain party there is nothing else there of substance and wanting to Remain would anyone really vote for someone who doesn't want to carry out dv?

Labour... Shambles as well. Unbelievable... Momentum, unions, scargill. Corybn at war with Tom... And the little godzilla brexit group...and now tory won't do pact with brexit party!

Septembersunrays · 15/09/2019 18:35

Are you tired bellengue?
Yawning... Long day.. And night..

I do admire your stamina to keep going on mumsnet for all the hours you do and across so many threads! I dip in and out but here you are without fail.

bellinisurge · 15/09/2019 18:38

We must dip in and out at the same time. At least today.

MockersthefeMANist · 15/09/2019 18:59

I thought we'd established that Labour would negotiate the Bestest Brexit Evah, then have a referendum and campaign against it.

bellinisurge · 15/09/2019 19:03

Labour are shite, I would only vote for them with Corbyn as leader if it would stop the Brexshit Party in my constituency.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 15/09/2019 19:15

I am more than able to understand that some remainers like you would accept a deal. I would have accepted TMs deal (doesn't mean I liked it), I will accept a Boris deal. Unfortunately the problem is that MPs wont accept ANY leave deal. So the only way out of the EU will be as Boris said "to Smash out".

MPs said they dont want a no deal but they are the ones causing it to happen.

This isn’t a criticism at all, but I’m genuinely interested in how you find the time to spend literally all day every day posting on mumsnet? When do you cook & clean? Or even just sleep?

bellinisurge · 15/09/2019 19:26

Well, today I dehydrated some tomatoes, tackled a massive reorganising task, did some gardening, collected my dd from her extra curricular stuff, changed all the beds. That kind of thing. I have MS. I sit down a lot. Got a problem with that?

Finerumpus · 15/09/2019 19:35

Imagine the Lib Dems won a general election. We would all be able to refuse to accept the result of the election and never actually let them take a position in government. Imagine the outrage that would cause. How can they possibly stand for election after the contempt they have shown for democracy?

frumpety · 15/09/2019 19:53

Quick non related question , I won't actually go to hell if I make my Yorkshires in my Balti dishes will I ?

jasjas1973 · 15/09/2019 19:59

September... If member states do not report fraud, do not counter fraud and do prosecute fraud, what exactly is the EU to do about it?

I'm sure people do not want a EU Police force and a EU justice system do they?

Also, the numbers don't stack up, a budget of 165 billion and 130m is subject to fraud ? that's 0.08% of the total eu budget..... i wonder what % of UK public spending is wasted/subject to fraud?

jasjas1973 · 15/09/2019 20:06

Good point, another PV on a different set of choices is one thing, over turning completely is another.

I'd need to see their rational but on first glance this is a bad policy, however, if they did get into power, it means they won a majority of MPs and under the law of the land, they are in Govt for 5 years... there is no law that said any Govt had to enact the EU vote result.

Fwiw until they win a majority, their current policy of a 2nd vote stands.

Sorry to hear you have MS.
Flowers

frumpety · 15/09/2019 20:13

The Lib dems have amalgamated the Conservatives and Labour, they are now the party of the centre left and right and the centre. If you are not far right or left , they are now the political choice. They have oozed into the margins of both Conservative and Labour. Yellow is the colour of new beginnings.

Finerumpus · 15/09/2019 20:30

Those are the new beginnings of tyranny! Their attitude is appalling. I don’t for a minute think that they would win but I do think they have a cheek. The hypocrisy is astonishing. The cat is out of the bag now and many in the political class have shown us their true colours and their contempt for our democracy. There is nothing liberal or democratic about that.

Septembersunrays · 15/09/2019 20:35

Yellow is the colour of deception and tyranny.

Septembersunrays · 15/09/2019 20:37

Jasjas

The eu should not be chucking money at countries who cannot account for it.

Countries should not be chucking money at the eu if they cannot account for it.

Bearbehind · 15/09/2019 20:51

september that’s all very honourable.

At what point will it be a step too far though?

Can you afford a 10% increase in the cost of living? What about 20%?

Do you or your family rely on any medication?

Is that tiny proportion of wasted EU funds going to be worth it?

frumpety · 15/09/2019 20:52

Yellow is the colour of deception and tyranny. No that would be Blue September Or deepest Red, basically either far end of the political spectrum = deception and tyranny , middle ground not so historically.

frumpety · 15/09/2019 20:56

September can I ask you why you think all these folks in the political class don't think Brexit is an awfully good idea ?

Septembersunrays · 15/09/2019 20:58

Well no frumpy.
I voted in good faith in 2016 to leave the eu.

A party that is openly going to deny me that votes yield, is tyrannical.

Bear we have had many scares and ups and downs.
In my life I have been made homeless and lost house to bailiffs.
We have lived on bone for a decade.
I've seen and witnessed the dreadful situations thrust upon the British people by thier own government and by being in the eu.
I'm not afraid. We are a pragmatic, flexible family. It means too much to get out and free my children.

Bearbehind · 15/09/2019 21:03

Septembersunrays · 15/09/2019 21:06

Many do think it's a good idea. However
as with everyone else they will fall into different categories. Some will have their fat fingers stuck in the eu gravey pie.

They benefit too much from us being in. Some will benefit from cheap nannies, labour. Many will have family working in the eu. Many will be invested in the the eu and part of the massive corruption within it. Some will believe we need to be part of a large block politically and socially.
Some areas scared and feel we are stronger in the eu and its a really good idea.

Etc etc etc.
