Pints of bitter all round?

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 24/09/2019 11:42

He bought enough time.

We’re still leaving on 31st October.

Cheers Smile Wine

TheMustressMhor · 24/09/2019 11:51

Will none of you Brexiteers comment on the Supreme Court's decision?

Mistigri · 24/09/2019 11:52

We’re still leaving on 31st October.

I'll drop on on 1st November with a serving of humble pie.

We are not leaving on 31/10 (we were never going to leave on 31/10).

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 24/09/2019 11:54

Remainer judges trying to overturn the referendum result?

Disgusting - but unsurprising.

howabout · 24/09/2019 11:54

Saves Boris having to cope with a Party Conference equally as shambolic as the Labour one. Time for a VoNC surely?

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 24/09/2019 11:57

If we never leave I’ll get over it. I’ll enjoy watching remoaners squirm every time a company goes under & they can’t blame brexit. Grin
It’s worth remaining just for that.
Wine

MysteryTripAgain · 24/09/2019 11:58

Supreme Court does not change the 2016 referendum result. Nor does it change fact that conservatives are top of the polls. A GE will likely result in a Brexit and Conservative party coalition. Their priority would be to cancel the Benn Act and say to Brussels

No backstop = deal

Backstop = no deal

time4chocolate · 24/09/2019 11:58

Clinkety clink Wine

Just waiting for headmaster Bercow to call the pupils back to school for more playground high jinks and tantrums Smile.

howabout · 24/09/2019 12:04

I can drink to that dirtyrottenscoundrel Wine

Endless amusement if we were to start joining in with Ursula and co properly as well. Wine

fannybygasIight · 24/09/2019 12:11

Only 37 days to go, πŸ‘πŸΊπŸ₯ƒπŸΎ At least remainers get to swoon over Bercow's ties for a wee bit longer. That's nice for them. We're still leaving though 😜

Hoooo · 24/09/2019 12:11

Parliamentary sovereignty - so beloved of you leavers - in action!

Beautiful.

BelleHathor · 24/09/2019 12:11

I used to think it was the US courts that had activist judges but it seems like we may have some of our very own. 100s of years of precedent overturned, hope that the change to our constitution is worth it πŸ€” looks awfully like an establishment stitch-up. 🍸🍷🍹

bellinisurge · 24/09/2019 12:15

So if you don't like this sovereign court, would you like to find another one.
Hope they hand out grips in this pub.

Sarahlou63 · 24/09/2019 12:18

You should appeal to the ECJ.

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 24/09/2019 12:21

Nigel can’t believe his luck with how this is going. It’s another 10 million votes for the brexit party.

MysteryTripAgain · 24/09/2019 12:28

Nigel can’t believe his luck with how this is going. It’s another 10 million votes for the brexit party

Yes. Will be interesting to see what the polls say over the next few days

onalongsabbatical · 24/09/2019 12:29

Just watching the lovely and fragrant Anna Soubry on Sky. I'll have a double G&T please, I feel like a wee celebratory toast. To Lady Hale and her wonderful brooches! Cheers! Grin

WonderWomansSpin · 24/09/2019 12:33

I've never been here before but I saw it mentioned on another thread so thought I'd pop in. Are people hoping for a VoNC or a GE?

BelleHathor · 24/09/2019 12:33

I imagine a bounce for both Brexit Party and Tories. The ruling is interesting for people who follow politics avidly. Ordinary people don't give a fudge about Lady Hale, all they see is more interference and procrastination. Lots of "Drain the swamp" on Twitter, it may turn out to be a hollow victory.

DustyDiamond · 24/09/2019 12:34

Self-serving MPs in our current toxic Parliament have boxed themselves in now Wine

Boris needs to stay put & put another GE motion forward.
When that fails, let them call VONC; if they don't, he should then call one himself.

GE is only way to drain the cesspit now.

When MPs refuse again to go to electorate then the 'people vs establishment' narrative becomes even stronger.

dirtyrottenscoundrel · 24/09/2019 12:38

I’m a labour voting ( Corbyn supporter ) who voted to leave the EU.
My faith is now in Corbyn giving us a 2nd referendum or people’s vote - that’s the only way forward now.
I’m confident leave would win again so let’s do it.

DustyDiamond · 24/09/2019 12:38

Unhinged Jezza screeching for 'GE now!' at end of his rant about ruling - it's being cut out of the newsreels as he said it at the end, but someone somewhere will have it.

Simultaneously wants a GE & no GE at the same time apparently.

BelleHathor · 24/09/2019 12:44

Jeremy is being held hostage. He was always a Benn leaver but someone is not allowing him to speak his truth.

Angryresister · 24/09/2019 13:21

You lost get over it
