If it wasn’t so serious it would actually be hysterical!

What a move. Kudos to Philip.

PerkingFaintly · 03/09/2019 16:16

Hahaha! Karma for the time Angela Eagle heard of Johnson's elevation merely to Foreign Secretary while on stage mid-speech.Grin

noodlenosefraggle · 03/09/2019 16:16

Surely we'll have to have an election now? The only worry I have is that the Tories are so far ahead in the polls that they could get a majority, and it will be a majority of brexiteers after all moderate MP's are deselected. Philip Lees Constituency voted leave. He'll be replaced by a brexiteer. I'm also concerned that some Labour constituencies, Lisa Nandys for one, who are strongly leave will go tory or worse, Brexit Party.

Bearbehind · 03/09/2019 16:19

Johnson is floundering!

How desperate was his reply to Hammond - we can’t negotiate with the EU because they say we’re threatening no deal - PMSL

It’s pathetic - surely people can see that

BunchMunch · 03/09/2019 16:20

Hmm be careful what you wish for comes to mind.

I believe more constituencies voted Leave?
So maybe pointing the way to a Conservative win / majority in cahoots with BXP.

SistemaAddict · 03/09/2019 16:22

What? I do the school home and there's excitement! Anyone got a link to footage?

He’s talking incoherent drivel. He’s making Trump look halfway intelligent.

SinkGirl · 03/09/2019 16:37

BoJo is a disaster. Well I for one am shocked.

Bearbehind · 03/09/2019 16:38

I’m not shocked - I just hope his disciples start to see through it

Might leave work early so I can listen to it on the radio.

It’s not good for your mental health - it makes you want to throw things

Gets madder. He hasn’t had a realistic majority for a while though, this is just the official numbers. I suspect it won’t make any difference to him.

Bearbehind · 03/09/2019 16:43

Actually bellini I’ll say now, your NI plan could be the way out now because it’s all gone so insane that absolutely anything is possible! 😂

Boswellisdead · 03/09/2019 16:44

Ach, since when did political reality have any bearing on that thatched turd's actions or ambitions.

LordProfFekkoThePenguinPhD · 03/09/2019 16:46

Not exactly a surprise. I wonder how the idiots who voted for him are feeling now? Shiny jobs worth it eh?

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 03/09/2019 16:56

Ds2 came bounding down the stairs to tell me that he lost his majority

Just seen in repeated on the telly...very dramatic

BubblesBuddy · 03/09/2019 17:09

He cannot call an election. It’s not in his gift. The House has to agree an election by a 2/3 majority. This is because we have a fixed term Parliament of 5 years. Shame we didn’t have 2/3 majority for Brexit. What idiots to allow it to be 50% plus.

Labour would be mad to agree to an election. They should sit tight for the moment. Tony Blair was spot on.

BoJo was disastrous today. Floundering. Talking in cliches. What have the Conservative members done? Dreadful.

user1486131602 · 03/09/2019 17:10

Somebody please dig Maggie thatcher back up, she had more balls than all of them put together!
( not a statement about politics) just her balls!!

Bearbehind · 03/09/2019 17:11

So what happens if BJ no longer has a working majority and can’t call an election?

OP posts:
VanGoghsDog · 03/09/2019 17:13

He knew this would happen. He wants an election, but he will choose to have it after Oct 31st. All the 'no brexit' members of his party will be replaced one way or another and he will win as he will have pushed brexit through and the non brexit parties or candidates will have no platform any more.

SistemaAddict · 03/09/2019 17:13

I'm
Quite missing TM and MT watching this shit show. For their balls. They didn't bluster like BJ does. I don't agree with anything they did but at least they had balls. I keep hoping JC will find his.

VanGoghsDog · 03/09/2019 17:15

An election will have to be called. He knows that. All the MPs he told would be deselected will either stand down or be forced out. They will vote for there to be an election because they might as well.
