Well either way bellinisurge it will be sorted and I think leavers will be willing to work towards what the future holds... As we know how to accept.

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 16:52

So, any takers for WA 2.0, say , one with a border in the sea. I'd be ok with that. Would you?

Autumnintheair · 29/08/2019 16:56

Mummy exactly best to be pragmatic and just make the best of things. Change is exciting. Nothing about the eu excites me.

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 16:57

The sea thing won't pass. It is still a border.
Also the DUP won't accept it
The EU can't do it either.

Three strikes your out.

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 17:01

It doesn't matter if the DUP won't accept it if enough opposition parties support it. And with a Parliament sitting after the Queen 's speech all WA failures are no longer valid. It can start again.
So you may well end up with opposition MPs, desperate to avoid No Deal, supporting WA 2.0 as per Ruth Davidson's suggestion today. And DUP votes won't matter. Nor will ERG.
And we'll be out. And you will still be whining.

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 17:02

Opposition MPs not parties. Because Corbyn has no control over his own party's MPs.

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 29/08/2019 17:09

Ooh goody Parliament is suspended, the pound has tanked, there's shortages of medications, Scotland's will get independence and Northern Ireland will be the land of bombs and guns again. Is this democracy and taking back control?

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 17:10

bellinisurge yet another straw your clutching.
Not going to happen.
Boris said no. He won't go back on it.

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 17:14

Fair enough @mummmy2017 . Then we No Deal. I'm a prepper so I'm ready for any "bumps in the road ". And any negatives are on you.

twofingerstoEverything · 29/08/2019 17:16

Autumn: You could argue that in essence Parliament was already suspended in limbo for three years agaisnt a democratic vote.

Well, you could, but you'd struggle to provide evidence to support such an argument, though I'd like to see you try.

Walkingdeadfangirl · 29/08/2019 17:17

@bellinisurge
can't wait until he pushes through a rebranded WA and all the Beleavers have to wrestle with the concept of being betrayed by their new hero

As long as a new WA doesn't trap us in a backstop or include a SM or CU, then he will he praised a churchillian hero for getting us out of the EU.

Parker231 · 29/08/2019 17:18

@mummmy2017 - you don’t seem concerned about the damage to the GFA or the dreadful position it will create in NI.

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 17:25

I fly in a plane, get on board and let a the person who can fly it do his job, I do not try to sit in his lap or look over his shoulder to tell him what to do.
Just like I can't govern a country, and know it.
Nothing I do will change this.

Parker231 · 29/08/2019 17:38

But you voted to leave ! You must have been aware of the implications for NI?

Bearbehind · 29/08/2019 17:43

You and bellinisurge literally have your own thread, and yet here you are....on a leavers one

spud why do you need everyone to have their own threads?

I started a thread to resolve an issue with bellini and I but that doesn’t mean neither of us can ever post elsewhere again

DustyDiamond · 29/08/2019 17:50

So, any takers for WA 2.0

I'm a leaver - I'd take WA 2.0 so long as no staying in customs union & no backstop in its current form

I've always been ok with an EFTA/EEA Brexit tbh as I think that's the best starting position for future divergence

If the anti no-dealers in parliament vote for it then the ERG numbers don't matter

I'm relieved that Boris is finally forcing MPs to do their job: accept the ref result & make a decision re deal/no deal

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 29/08/2019 17:52

I'll try again: is this democracy and taking back control? Rem

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 29/08/2019 17:53

Argh small person moved my hand and made me post too early. What exactly are we taking control of? Genuine question as I'm confused.

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 17:55

Excellent @DustyDiamond , now write to your MP and the PM and tell all your Leaver friends to grow the fuck up and accept WA 2.0 that doesn't mess with GFA.

placemats · 29/08/2019 18:00

I think it's fabulous that there will be finally a United Ireland and that Scotland will get the Independence it deserves.

Thank you Brexiteers!

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 18:03

But it is too late.
How can you not see that ...
Open your eyes, stop looking in your dream world of the best deal in your opinion. Reality is we are having no deal....
Nothing can be agreed now...
IT IS TOO LATE.

placemats · 29/08/2019 18:06

Do you really think for one moment that Johnson is going for no deal?

I understand he's a knob head, but he isn't that much of a knob head (I have this on good authority Wink).

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 18:08

Boris wants his place in history .
Do or die...
He prorogued Parliament.
He said no border or no deal
Will you believe me when he does it. .

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 18:11

Then you should take responsibility for what happens in NI if we No Deal. It will be on you and everyone who is cheer leading for No Deal.

placemats · 29/08/2019 18:14

And if large bollocks and small knobhead does do it what then?

The world wont fall apart.

And then it paves the way for a United Ireland.

Bring it on!
