Well another thread destroyed by Remoaners

You might not believe this infinite but I actually agree with you! πŸ˜‚

Seriously Remainers, you are not going to convince people who aren’t afraid of no deal at this late stage to change their views now.

There’s merit in discussing what we think is going to happen between now and Halloween and if it’s going to be deal or no deal but there’s no point at all in trying to get people to swap sides.

PotatoShape · 29/08/2019 14:59

And Bearbehind, leavers are tired of people trying to change our minds! It's exhausting 😰
We really don't want to debate this on every thread started as a leavers thread.
You and bellinisurge literally have your own thread, and yet here you are....on a leavers one!?

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 15:00

All business has said it is the uncertainty of it all that is having the greatest effect.
Once it is finished the disagreement of how and why we leave will be over.
Then will be a time to pull together.
Let's hope the UK is as British as it has always been and we don't riot, the middle classes just don't do that it is bad form.

ContinuityError · 29/08/2019 15:01

Can't see any Leavers actually wanting to discuss what happens next though Bear ?

It's all "yay for Boris" and "independence day" and clapping each other on the back for these wonderful intangible things that Brexit will bring them that they can never quite bring themselves to explain.

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 15:02

@PotatoShape , I don't expect to change your mind on No Deal. I hope against hope that a little bit of you says to yourself "maybe it wouldn't hurt to get a 3 day buffer of food in, no one needs to know ". And then it's one less drama llama clogging things up should things get "bumpy".

Parker231 · 29/08/2019 15:02

Am so glad that although I’ve lived in the UK since I was five I have the luxury of a Belgian passport and DH and DT’s Canadian.

PotatoShape · 29/08/2019 15:36

I won't be prepping, but I do have a pretty well stocked pantry and freezer....so should we need to (living rurally in a snow drift hotspot) we will be happy hunkering down for a good few days. Meals might be a bit boring, or cobbled together but I'm a very good cook with a passion for war time recipes so know my way around a sparse ingredient base.

jasjas1973 · 29/08/2019 15:42

Once it is finished the disagreement of how and why we leave will be over
oh really? its just started

Then will be a time to pull together

We are not a tug of war team

But I needed cheering up! Thank you lol!

Walkingdeadfangirl · 29/08/2019 15:48

Boris is knocking it out of the park Grin All this fake outrage from remoaners just because MPs cant sit for 4 days, its not as if they had 3 years to talk about Brexit Confused is it?

Apparently Meatloaf remainers would do anything for the EU to stop a deal but they wont do that vote for a deal. roflmao 🀣

Miljah · 29/08/2019 16:06

@InfiniteSheldon "accept that we live in a democracy"??

Did you watch the news yesterday??

And do you realise that next time around, the party in power might not be on the same, crazy page as you- and may prorogue parliament to shut down debate on something they want to push through?

Cuts both ways.

Dangerous times.

Dapplegrey · 29/08/2019 16:07

I didn't know that there were threads you can't post on. You are welcome to post on whatever thread you like as long as you don't break MN Talk Guidelines.
Bellini try telling jasjas that - he/she got pretty annoyed when leavers came onto his/her thread about what the EU has done for us. Scary Teacher was sent packing pretty quickly when she dared to offer an alternative opinion.

Miljah · 29/08/2019 16:08

@InfiniteSheldon "Assume all you like Parker I dont give a shiny shit Leavers be surfing all the way to success on a tidal wave of Remoaner whining take care hun and remember dont get too stressed there's no paracetamol left for headaches xxxx"

Would you like some punctuation with that?? "Leavers be surfing all the way to success"? You're on more than paracetamol, 'hun'.

Miljah · 29/08/2019 16:21

@mummmy2017 "all pull together'?

On what? I will happily be smacking you on the nose if push comes to shove, and it's my DC's food over yours, as an example of how I won't be 'pulling together'; not alongside so dangerously under-educated as yourself.

You might be surprised about 'MC rioting'. It's surprising what people will do when they feel threatened.

Soz.

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 16:22

@Dapplegrey , that is that poster's choice. I've had the odd run in with jasjas. No one chases anyone off. You get bored. You have other things to focus on. That's why. Not because you are chased off.
If Quitling/No Dealers can't handle an MN thread , I'd be concerned that they are a bit snowflake-y. Surely not?

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 16:30

@Walkingdeadfangirl , can't wait until he pushes through a rebranded WA and all the Beleavers have to wrestle with the concept of being betrayed by their new hero. Because just as he has cut out the time in which anti-No Dealers can object, he's also stymied the ERG/DUP sect. If it comes down to a "No Deal or my Deal" choice, there may well be enough on the opposition side to vote for WA 2.0. As per Ruth Davidson's warning to anti-No Dealers.
Or he may lose a snap GE because he will lose the 12 Tory MPs in Scotland that Ruth Davidson delivered to him. And you will get that twat Corbyn. Because that's how the People voted.

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 16:30

Once we leave, the arguement over leaving stops. We will have left.
So then what.
I know remainder need will be cross, but what are you going to fight over?
Or will we try to make things happens.

mummmy2017 · 29/08/2019 16:32

I know remainers will be cross,

ListeningQuietly · 29/08/2019 16:33

Once we leave, the arguement over leaving stops. We will have left.
So then what.
I know remainder need will be cross, but what are you going to fight over?
Food, medicine, fuel, water,
all the usual stuff in the countries with no trade deals with anywhere else syria, venezuela, and the like

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 16:35

@mummmy2017 , if we have WA 2.0, do you seriously think Faridge and his mob will shut up?

Autumnintheair · 29/08/2019 16:38

Potato could just ignore them.

I noticed one leaver went onto Westminster thread and posters flocked like hungry piranhas claiming the poster was a Russian /trump /farage frankenstein bot.

Once. Confused

But in itself its quite indicative of that reaching in eu style... Meddling where they are not wanted!!

Autumnintheair · 29/08/2019 16:40

Who said Boris was a hero!

He's simply trying to implement the result of the vote

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 16:42

And if he implements it with WA 2.0? Will you be happy?

bellinisurge · 29/08/2019 16:44

"Back of the net Boris" says the op. Sounds like hero worship to me.

Autumnintheair · 29/08/2019 16:48

Dangerous times....

The most dangerous times we have had: parliament thwarting the result of the vote.

That's big disconnect, big problems.

Autumnintheair · 29/08/2019 16:49

Doesn't sound remotely like hero worship to me.

I guess we need your definition of hero worship. To me it sounds like...

Good move...a la Alan partridge.
