Brexit

Arbitration needed!

bellin and I have had this argument many times and both think we’re right so I’m looking for arbitration! 😂

I think NI becoming a special economic zone won’t happen because the Tories won’t put it to a vote as they’d lose the support of the DUP and thus their working majority

bellini thinks the Tories would be prepared to put this to the vote because stopping no deal is more important than anything else

Who’s right?

My point to Bear isn't so much blame but accepting responsibility for where we are now

Nothing to prevent people from changing their minds in the future by voting for pro EU parties at the next general election. Article 49 enables rejoin of EU.

Bearbehind · 28/08/2019 12:00

My point to Bear isn't so much blame but accepting responsibility for where we are now.

For what purpose?

I’ve never denied I previously voted Tory but that the referendum wasn’t the reason for my vote in 2015

I didn’t and don’t support leave

Why do you feel the need to badger me to take responsibility for something I didn’t actively chose when it changes nothing anyway?

It’s just more of the bitterness I mentioned earlier

@jasjas1973 , the op doesn't like to be challenged 😂😂😂

Bearbehind · 28/08/2019 13:01

the op doesn't like to be challenged

bellini could you please give the spiteful, snipey comments a rest

Sir yessir.

mummmy2017 · 28/08/2019 13:41

I really was shocked by the total wipe out of Liberal Party, as was everyone else.
That was DC up the spout, as NC as deputy PM was supposed to say no.
Then leave were never supposed to win.
Funny each time something was supposed to stop the UK leaving, fate seems to be scuppered it.
The pound is now so low, but that means it will rise and once it does the economy will rise.
What , just what, if Brexit isn't the poison challis .

Bearbehind · 28/08/2019 14:40

The pound is now so low, but that means it will rise and once it does the economy will rise

I just about get my head around the fact that we have to go for no deal because too many people support it and we need to prove one way or another if it’s going to work.

Then mummmy reminds me that many supporters of no deal have such a limited grasp of economics that they make the above comment.

I really do despair

Pound low...country buy from us....as we are good value
After Brexit the pound rises making the imports into the country ie food and stuff cheaper to import .

bellinisurge · 28/08/2019 15:40

See how we are actually on the same side , op. We have to stop this kind of puerile crap holding sway.

Bearbehind · 28/08/2019 15:50

bellini we’ve always been on the same side - we just don’t agree where it’s going to end

I still don’t see an alternative to no deal, even though I think Johnson’s plan is to stop it for now.

People like mummmy are never going to understand the repercussions until it hits them in the pocket

What I find eternally frustrating is how lacking she and others are in basic understanding

I mean WTF do you think we’ll be selling mummmy?

OP posts:
bellinisurge · 28/08/2019 15:58

I think we agree on where it might end. You think we are nearer to it than I do. I still think No Deal can be stopped. You don't .
I'm ready for it because I'm a general prepper and find some of the "should we start stockpiling " posts I see on here today as really sad.
Posts like @mummmy2017 's make me even sadder.

Bearbehind · 28/08/2019 16:04

I think we agree on where it might end. You think we are nearer to it than I do. I still think No Deal can be stopped. You don't

I don’t think stopping it in the short term helps anyone as the economy is just slowly dying of uncertainty in the meantime and I can’t see any situation where it doesn’t happen at some point

Totally agree about mummmys posts though - they used to make me angry, now they just make me sad

You should be a prepper like me op. Then you can ride stuff out a bit better (doesn't fix everything obviously).

Bearbehind · 28/08/2019 16:08

I am a hoarder which doubles as being a prepper in times like these!😂

I cant afford to do either

mummmy2017 · 28/08/2019 18:39

I've watched chef you both rant and rave over three years
Call me names, stupid and all the rest.
Yet here you are with just what I said.
And another thing, the disasters that never happened, never will and wait till we really do well once we are out.....

Bearbehind · 28/08/2019 19:18

Yet here you are with just what I said.

Yes mummmy you’ve won. Unfortunately you have absolutely no idea what that means or involves - that’s just the problem

OP posts:
bellinisurge · 28/08/2019 19:45

Tbe fact that it's happening doesn't mean you are right @mummmy2017 , it means you are being screwed and you don't even know it.

mummmy2017 · 28/08/2019 19:56

I wanted out at any cost.
So do a great many people.
Only TM never wanted out, told the EU that and she then bent over so she could get shafted
Now BJ has said leave means leave...at any cost.....too right I am happy.

Peregrina · 28/08/2019 19:57

I hope you are happy with a PM who decides to suspend Parliament on a whim. This time it might suit you. Next time it might not.

mummmy2017 · 28/08/2019 19:59

And just how long have we spent trying to please everyone, no one was happy, no one could agree, so we could have continued with that mess, nothing would have happened, we would still have gone no deal..
Or someone takes charge ...

Peregrina · 28/08/2019 20:37

May was only trying to appease the ERG. She cared nothing for the 48% who voted Remain, nothing for Scotland, nothing for NI.

You might be happy now. I strongly suspect that you won't be in Johnson's winners camp.

mummmy2017 · 28/08/2019 20:50

If you think she cared nothing for the Remain how do you explain the WA she tried to push through three times

Coppersulphate · 28/08/2019 21:07

Bear and Bellini, I have no time for either of you because you have both tried to bully me and call me nasty names over the last 3 years.
Bear was particularly nasty in the Brexit Arms.
However, this country is never going to agree a border in the Irish Sea, nor is it going to make NI a special economic zone.
Bellini is clearly an Irish leaning republican and wants a Border Poll and a united Ireland.

Coppersulphate · 28/08/2019 21:09

And I fully support Boris.
It's about time we had someone who is prepared to lead and do what the vast majority of the people want.
